The Taiwanese popcorn chicken was crispy, flavorful, and delicious. The pork xiao long bao were fantastic, and the pan-fried pork buns were so good. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and I loved that the dumplings and buns came in orders of six with very generous portions. The scallion pancakes were another highlight. The soup dumplings certainly earn their reputation - very soft outside and fresh meat inside. Very delicious!! The pricing is pretty comparable to other soup dumpling restaurants that I've visited as well. We also tried the stir fried spicy tofu dish, which is maybe a 4/10 spice level (can always request to make it spicier). I would recommend ordering this dish with rice, which is extra ($3). The wood ear mushroom salad is very fresh flavorful. We visited on a Saturday right at opening (12:30p), so we were seated right away. Customer service was pleasant and also quick to come out with our food. All in all, great food and great service. Came to Kung Fu Kitchen after desperately craving Din Tai Fung and their chocolate XLB. Kung Fu Kitchen recently added the chocolate XLB to their menu so I had to check it out! We were seated pretty quickly but the servers were a little disorganized and didn't approach us for 15-20 minutes and realized when we were looking for them to get us waters and to order. The restaurant was not busy whatsoever so I'm not sure what happened there. There are plenty of seating and the space is well lit. Food wise, WOW! My cravings were satisfied! Their dumplings and buns are very nicely flavored. I was pleasantly surprised by the tomato egg and is a personal favorite. The noodles were very delicious as well. Upon walking in, the parking seems a bit on the smaller side. But we came up to a big dumpling on the wall outside and was able to take a few photos. Entering the place is a big Christmas tree so they're already ready for the holidays! It's very spacious or it looks very spacious and modern with a touch of traditional Chinese details for those that know the Chinese culture. We ordered so many items and it was all perfect! The Highlights: * Appetizers: These were the stars of the meal. The Scallion Pancake with Braised Beef was very flavorful. The Peking Duck Bun was easily our favorite of the night--incredibly tender and tasty. * Soup Dumplings: The Chicken Soup Dumplings were delicious, especially when paired with the vinegar-based dumpling sauce on the table. * Drinks: We ordered the Lychee Nut Martini Tea and Honey Lemon Green Tea. Both were good, though a bit too sweet for our taste; we would definitely specify less sugar next time. The Letdown: Unfortunately, the main noodle dishes didn't live up to the appetizers. * House Special Soup: The broth was very bland and required a lot of chili oil and soy sauce to be enjoyable. The egg was also way overcooked and chalky. * Spicy Beef with Hand-Cut Noodles: This was better than the house soup, but still not great. The server told us it was spicy, but it had zero heat. We were excited to try out this new location on Kirkman. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, which was juicy and came out steaming hot. The broth was delicious and rich. The Shanghai pan-fried pork buns were great. They were pan fried correctly with a nice crispy bottom, juicy filling, and not too much breading. We also ordered the popcorn chicken, which was amazing and had basil with it as well. The chicken was still tender while being crispy as well. The noodle soup with knife-cut noodles was a hit and had a good beef bone broth that brought the dish together. The last dish was the pork and shrimp wontons, which had a nice ratio and was quickly eaten. The place itself is extremely spacious and clean. Tried Kungfu Kitchen that recently opened on Kirkman and enjoyed our meal. Everything we ordered was delicious, with a few standout dishes worth coming back for. The pan-fried pork buns were the favorite -- crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The soup dumplings were also great, with a nice, thick skin that held up well and wasn't soggy. We also had the beef noodle soup with chili, which started off mild in flavor but got more savory and satisfying with each bite. Definitely recommend getting it with the knife-cut noodles -- they're thick, chewy, and soak up the broth perfectly. If you're a fan of heartier noodles, these are the way to go. Portions size was also shareable for my husband and I, given we also ordered other items. The space has been nicely renovated from the old Nine Spices Hot Pot, and there's plenty of seating. I am always looking for a good xiao long bao and I will say these were good. We got the crab and pork ones but it tasted a little light on the crab so next time I'll stick to the pork ones. Otherwise the dumplings were made pretty good nice and thin skin and a good amount of soup. We also tried the scallion pancake with beef and knife cut noodles that I would definitely order again. Ok folks, I'm gonna preface this with the fact that I NEVER review a second location of the same chain.. even if it's a big franchise. There's just too much to eat, too much to write, and too little time. So why are we here together on this journey? Well.. it's because Kung Fu Kitchen is THAT good. And, I'm extremely happy to be able to go to a closer location to me, and has now become a post-Universal traditional recently because of how close, how convenient, and how gosh darn good the food is here. I won't touch too much on the food, as it's just as good as the primary location (soup dumplings, all the way). I won't touch too much on how the chefs are from NYC and had already made a name of their location there. The decor though, is a beaut here. They did such a good job with the decoration and the seating, y'all gotta check this place out for yourself. The only bad thing? Probably the parking. It's limited, a bit annoying, and you'll likely need to park in overflow (which I'm not even 100% sure if it's owned by them or the Waffle House next door. A meal here isn't the cheapest, but it won't break the bank either. For the quality you get, I think it's worth the cost. I honestly come here way too much now that they're so much closer, someone save my wallet eep. read more

Definitely some of the better Soup Dumplings that I've had in Orlando. The skins were not quite as thin as Din Tai Fung, but they still had good chew and they kept the soup inside. The Pan Fried Dumplings had a pretty good crust on the bottom and was soft and pillowy on top. The Beef Noodle Soup was pretty good as well. Settled quickly on scallion pancakes, spicy beef noodles soup, Shanghai styled pan fired bao, dumplings, and stir fried bok choy. Before we were able to get to noodles, we are so impressed with bok choy. Very fresh, perfectly seasoned. First time seeing my kids kept eating the green vegetables. Spicy beef noodles soup was excellent too. Not overly seasoned, spicy oil was tasty and just right. Dumplings were great too. My personal favorite is the pan fried bao. There were juice inside of the bao. Three of us finished up everything thing we ordered. Very happily walked back to the hotel to attempt burning off the carbs. KUNG FU KITCHEN PUNCHES....LIKE A WET NOODLE! My Wife and I were very excited to go to KUNG FU KITCHEN on Kirkman so, finally we went last night. Madison, immediately sat us down... she was great and...the only positive part of our experience. We ordered pretty simple. PORK XIAO LONG BAO, SCALLION PANCAKE and the (Hand made) SPECIAL BEEF and SHRIMP NOODLE. The food was out in 4 minutes (red flag) the XIAO LONG BAO basic, simple soup dumpling ...it was fine. The SCALLION PANCAKE...embarrassing (see pics). It besides being sad and lonely inside was cold and greasy. The (hand made) noodle... average lo mein at best. The beef was so thin all was tough to chew and THE EGG... WAS THE MOST OVERCOOKED, DRY AND DESICCATED "thing" we have ever seen...and this took all of 4 minutes to come out! Usually we will give an establishment 2-3x before we really give a judgement but, after going to KFK 1x. We will not go back and spend our $$$ somewhere else. The ABSOLUTE WORST FEELING is going to a restaurant and leaving completely unsatisfied and frustrated that you wasted your time and money there and that is what KUNG FU KITCHEN accomplished. I am giving it a 1 star...only because Madison was very nice and attentive and servers should not be "punished" for how the kitchen treats their food.
