Best pho in Indy! I've been here a few times since it opened, and I'm always floored by the pho. I was driving by one day, and I saw that this place off the beaten path, so I gave it a go. I was amazed by the pho, and I also tried a jasmine milk bubble tea. OMG it tasted like chocolate milk. What a treat! This is by far my favorite pho place in Indy, and this was my choice for my birthday meal last year. Sadly, I live near Zionsville, so it's a bit of a hike to get here. I'll be sure to stop in for my birthday this year too! read more

#1 Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to, and we have plenty in Chicago! Loved everything about it. The staff, the apps, bubble teas & smoothies. Pho was awesome. I got the bbq plate with rice and soup. Meat was top quality. It's in a strip mall so folks likely drive by this place and not realize they might be missing a hidden gem. I have only been here twice, but will make it a point to go at least once a week now! The pho is the best I've had here in Indy and I have tried quite a few places. The food is always amazing and delicious, the service is always fast and friendly, and the restaurant is always impeccably clean. Food is good but please believe every review on here that says even trying to order is a hassle. The main server doesn't understand English hardly at all. Which is a shame, she's very nice but it's excruciatingly difficult to ask any questions about food, WiFi, drinks etc... they also charge by the soda, no refills. read more

I was really glad when they re-opened coz I've been craving for Vietnamese food for a while, and this is the only one I'd go to. The dining area is large, bright and clean. We opted for takeout though. The Banh mi baguette is tasty and there is good proportion of meat-to-veggie ratio. It is also topped with a fried egg roll wrapper for extra crunch with every bite. Papaya salad is my favorite and I always get this. Th order is good for 2 people with leftovers and there is a generous helping of proteins. The combo of sweet, tangy and spicy sauce is perfect. Didn't get pho this time and opted for Bun with grilled pork instead. The meat itself was marinated well but eating the meal as a whole didn't leave an impression on me. I tried the Vietnamese hot and sour soup (fish)...and I'm glad I did! The broth has a unique taste that is almost like tom yum but not quite as strong and more on the sweet side. I really like it and all the veggies in it compliments the flavor. This will definitely be one of our staples from this place. And of course, wonderful owners and reasonable prices which are always a plus. read more

My first visit and I love it. Ordered vegan spring rolls and vegan hot and sour soup. Both were great. Both had well prepared tofu and both had good clean flavors. Very quiet on Saturday at lunch. Wow! I don't know when this opened, but this is seriously the Best Vietnamese Restaurant that I have been to in a long time. The Spring Rolls were so good, I had the Pho 21 Special. Everything was fresh and so delicious! The staff were very friendly and super helpful. The portions were more than adequate in size. I will definitely be back for more, and I'll bring some friends with me! Finally there is a NICE Vietnamese place with Great food on the East Side. Got the bun bo hue spicy noodle beef soup and it was delicious! Came with veggies, limes, and jalapeño slices. It was good portion size. Had good flavor and fair amount of beef slices and fish cakes. Also got #11 and the crepes dish, both were fresh and good with sauce on the side. Beef was seasoned well with peanuts on top that added a crunch. Crepes had a good texture and eating it wrapped with the lettuce, pickled carrots, bean sprouts and sauce was yummy! Burst of flavors. Service could be better should give more napkins and refill drinks more often. Some items are over price in my opinion. Overall experience was good! read more

This place did seem new and very big after you walk through the entrance of the restaurant. We were seated at the front of the restaurant for dinner on a weekday. The back area was empty and looked preserved for parties, karaoke, or special events. I hate it when my broth-based food come out warm, but the pho and bun bo hue came out hot temperature-wise. I went here twice. Both had good experience. First time with a large group. The portions were generous. The second time we went with two people and we ordered two dishes, the pho was good. The other dish was catfish in clay pot. For the catfish clay pot, the portion didn't really meet the expectation and too expensive when all things considered. In other Vietnamese restaurants, this dish had almost a whole catfish but this one only about less than of a comparable size of catfish. After done still feel hungry. Good thing it tasted good and the portion of the other dish made up the differences. If the portion is right, it would jump out to 5 stars. read more

Tried Pho 21 for the first time and had a solid experience. Service on a Thursday evening was prompt and friendly. Between 4 people we tried a couple phos, egg rolls, a pork bahn mi, and a broken rice plate. My friend loved the latter dish and cleaned his plate. The other dishes were good as well (but not worth writing home about). They do serve beer and wine, but the choices leave much to be desired if you prefer anything besides domestics. Extensive menu options to choose from. Atmosphere is pretty Americanized. Easy to get around. I'd definitely go back to try out more menu items! read more

Found out there was a new pho restaurant out east and had to stop by! I had the three littles with me as well. I was able to find the location with ease and parking was fine. We all walked in to a fairly large space that wasn't even halfway filled. A young man instructed me to sign a sign-in sheet and wait because "the kitchen was busy." We took a seat near the front door and waited. About 10 minutes went by and I received a text from my sister asking what we were doing for dinner and at that point it was whatever she suggested. As we headed out the door, 15 minutes later, another staff member called my name. I politely declined to be seated and indicated we'll try again another time. I may give it another during the week but for now, I'm a bit disappointed. read more
