The pho #1 smelled like a fishy soup. The taste was not good. Not to be a food snob but the food here is gross. And the service is horrible. I will stick with Pho Xpress on 6th street. It's alright Pho for this area. This place is misleading for their large bowls of pho because it's mostly just soup! There is very little noodles and meat. The Food is Gassers here . However the service is poor . The people who work here do not come back to ur table for any reason. No refills on water , don't check to see if u need anything . We sat for a long time waiting for our check then waiting for them to take the check. Prices have gone up, so don't expect $9 pho. However, their pho is flavorful and filling. Not too much noodles and a decent amount of meat. This time though, I got the hot plate steak and rice, which comes with a small bowl of soup, so you can taste the pho broth. The steak was cut bite size and juicy. It was nice that it's on a hot plate so it doesn't get cold during my entire meal. Be careful of parking here since the parking it in front is tight, and if filled, might be hard to u-turn. Don't order #55. I try to support Corona businesses, because they are part of my community. I was highly disappointed with #55. The pork appeared to be more of a pork product...rectangular slices. The herbs had dirty thick stems still attached. They may have been taken directly out of the original packaging. When I asked my server what type of meat was on the plate he said pork. I told him it looked more like SPAM. He said it is pork and they did something to it. I then told him the thick dirty stems on the herbs were not acceptable. I told him I didn't want to sit there and take off all of the leaves from the stems. The lettuce leaves were HUGE. They would have been good for mega lettuce wraps, but what was I suppose to do with those? He brought over a menu to me and showed me another plate I should have ordered. I was a regular here as there are not many decent places to eat in Corona. Their Pho is Ok. What's not Ok is the attitude of a couple of the female servers there. I have tried to overlook their nastiness before but it is difficult. I stopped by tonight at 9:30pm and noticed two of my least favorite people working there and I was told that despite it being 9:30pm and that they close at 10pm that I could not dine in. Complete disregard for common food handling safety procedures and horrible customer service. A kitchen staff server brought 2 bowls of Pho to the table next to ours and walks away from our dining area. A few moments later, he comes running back saying "wrong order". He then takes one of the bowls and the accompanying plate of veggies from the first table and serves it to our table! When I tried to question him, he mumbled something I couldn't understand and walked back into the kitchen refusing to talk to me. We immediately cancelled the rest of our order and paid for the appetizers and drinks we had already eaten. I love this place as the food is always great. I only get the veggie pho with beef broth. My only issue is that once you receive your food you never see the employees again. No refills on drinks, no "how is everything", "need anything". So I hope you're not thirsty or need anything else! Second time trying this place today, and the Pho is still UnPho-king believeablly good!! The sprigs of mint and bean sprouts brought to your table just adds that little extra umph! It's a spacious and clean looking place with a light and airy decor. You should give this place a try if you're in the area and are craving some Pho. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. We came yesterday during the rain and ordered some rare steak, flank, and brisket pho. I had the #8 and my boyfriend had the #1. We also ordered a side of spring rolls. We only had to wait a few minutes for our order and it was all packaged nicely to go. The inside was clean and had cute decor. As for my first time having pho, I now know it will not be my last. There was a lot of meat and plenty of veggies to add into the broth once we got home and put everything together. We've been here a few times. The decor is lovely. The place is very clean. The food was good, service was ok the first few times. This last time was different. After getting served our food, we never saw a waitress again until paying. The tendon in my soup was hard and inedible. I know they're supposed to be chewy. But it could not be safely swallowed. I paid $2.00 to add meatballs in my soup and got 3/4 of one meatball! Seriously. They cut the meatballs in quarters. And I got 3(quarters of one) for $2.00. I can buy a whole bag of those meatballs at 99 Ranch Market for $4.50. And they charge $2.00 for not even one whole meatball. read more

We had to raise our hands every time just to get the attention of an employee when placing our order or when we asked for to go boxes and our bill. Average at best. The broth is not very tasty / flavorful. We ordered the pho with all white meat and most of it is dark and the underside of the chicken - DONT see much breast meat. Egg rolls and the spring rolls were great. Condiments on table - Chile sauce was too empty so we had to take from another table.
