Food was fresh . Hot. Delicious. Our service was amazing! Fresh rolls are made fresh to order! So much to select from I wish I can order one of each thing to try The setting of the place was very calm & chilled . Beautiful decoration through out the restaurant. My absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona! Not only is the food phenomenal, their craft beer menu is second to none. The staff are very engaging and will make your experience world-class with their exceptional service. The ambiance is very cozy with an elegant decor. Great for a date night or meeting with friends. For their food, my favorite Spring Rolls are the Filet Mignon, Spider, Spicy Asian, Sunshine, and Bruce Lee. I love starting with their Vietnamese Wings and Spicy Bun Bo Edamame. For lunch or dinner, their Bahn Mi Sandwiches and Vietnamese Pho is super authentic and flavorful. Their craft beer menu rotate monthly and feature breweries of Monkish, Electric, Green Cheek, CLAG, Fiden's, & Russian River (yes, Pliney the Elder is sold here!). They also have a full bar and a great wine selection. If you have never visited Rice Paper- Shea, give them a shot. You will thank me later!!

I recommend the pho and soft spring rolls with peanut sauce. Very tasty! Best pho in Phoenix because it's fresh and mild in flavor. Beef was delicious and lots of noodles in the soup. However, the garlic noodles were dry and mediocre. The lemongrass chicken was also mediocre because it was only 4 small slices of chicken and it's marketed as a chicken dish and it has the same dry garlic noodles (yaki soba) so that is not a dish I recommend. Service is ok, the waiters are nice but the tables need more attention. The table setting was given to us in a disheveled way, the glass maybe used and sticky food spots that needed cleaning. Not a huge deal but inconvenient to ask for clean glass, cleaning rag, etc. I would go back again but during happy hour when pho is half off.

Never disappointed! The service in here is top notch. Our server Enrique was amazing. The food is delicious. We got the braised pork, spring roll, and lobster puffs.

It's the Lunar New Year, so even in AZ, you would think they would be ramped up and prepared. It was rather substandard tonight though. Loooong wait and updated that meal would be out in a few. Another looooong wait and then told they lost our ticket. When meal finally arrived, one order of crispy rice had tofu instead of shrimp and had to be taken back. One order of ga pho was missing the spoon. Hard to eat pho with chopsticks...smh. Moving this from my Az Keeper collection to my Az Meh list.

Such a delicious meal! We love the rolls specifically and they have so many to choose from! Absolute amazing spices if you love spice! The crew is always amazing and the service is excellent. If you are up for a nice meal in a very fun cute place with great vibes - this is the one!

    Bhan mi sandwich

I stopped in for a bhan mi sandwich in the early afternoon and it was fine. It wasn't busy and I got served fairly quickly. There were only two other diners. The sandwich was fine but the pork meat seemed grisly and I had a hard time chewing it. This I one of those restaurants where you have to ask for salt; they don't put it on the table. Since it is a normal condiment that people use all the time, I think it's a problem that customers have to take time away from their food to get the attention of a server and wait for him/her to get something that should have been there to begin with. Also, as you can see in the photo, the salt shaker was dirty with someone's leftover food. Ick. I would not come back here.

The place is small and intimate, so a great place to grab a drink while staying at the hotel. I've been here a couple of times and have experienced mostly great service. Overall, it's worth the visit if you're staying at the hotel and you want a nice cocktail.

What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. They were perfecting a new drink menu and even offered us two drinks on the house. Which was much appreciated! We were lucky, for sure. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (4/5): When I go to a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity. You'll find that here for the most part, though I wish the list of craft cocktails was a little larger. There were only two or so cocktails that struck my fancy. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me. Despite the limited selection, the cocktails are well made and have an interesting blend of flavors. The Madam is a true speakeasy (no signage and an ambiance which is true to the history of speakeasies), which makes them a winner in my book.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that happy hour lasted until 6 pm. We ordered a variety of dishes and truly enjoyed every single one. The kids menu is fantastic too. My son's meal came with salmon skewers, a huge serving of fries, fresh fruit and an adult sized cookie (that we had to sample for quality control). The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. While my husband really enjoyed our meal, I think this restaurant would be great for a girls dinner. Small plates, an extensive wine list, and a great patio. We'll be back for sure!

I really liked how stylish and beautiful the restaurant was. It would be a great spot for a date night. We ordered several dishes to share. I was really looking forward to the Nordic salmon salt block sashimi but the slices were too thin to hold up to the salt and felt like the block was the main attraction. Nordic salmon sweet sesame rice bowl was highly recommended by the server. It was good but overly sweet and the serving size was pretty small. We ordered Korean beef tacos topped with raw kimchi. Wasn't impressed with the beef which was just meh and lacking a rich and good flavor. At $5 each the tacos fell short in execution as the flavors and combination didn't work. The best dish was the tempura green beans which were light and crispy. I didn't care for the aioli it came with though as it was super sweet. I had to mix in a garlic aioli to make it ok. The ambience felt elevated but unfortunately the food didn't match. I didn't expect to find flaws with every dish we tried which was disappointing. Our server was acceptable but was not engaging. I'm glad I finally experienced this restaurant but don't see myself returning.
