    Crab rangoons

In my attempt to try more local restaurants and ditch the corporate chains, I was so happy to find this amazing Pho spot! The people who greet you and who work here are super kind and genuine. Additionally it is clear it's a family-owned establishment with the decor and atmosphere that is very comforting while eating. Lastly, the food was a 10/10. The broth of Pho can vary by location, but there was so much flavor to taste. The meat was cooked well and the crab wontons fried perfect. I am so happy I came here and would recommend anyone do the same!

A small family owned Vietnamese restaurant with a decent menu. Pho was good 4/5 broth was flavorful and the portion was good w plenty of meat. I just wished their chili oil was spicier. Sampler: the crab rangoon was creamy w imitation crab meat 5/5 Egg rolls, shrimp roll & spring roll were just okay 3/5 - as the peanut sauce and egg rolls were lacking flavor. Service was good. Overall, a good option if you're in the area and looking for authentic Vietnamese food.

Stopped in for dinner one night and randomly chose this place with friends. What a pleasant surprise it was! Khai Hoàn Restaurant is a true hole-in-the-wall with very authentic Vietnamese food. Just be mindful that there is only one restroom stall and it's located in the back of the house through the kitchen. I ordered the Bún Riêu (minced crab and shrimp noodle soup) and it was delicious! The noodles were fantastic and the broth was especially amazing. I'll definitely be back to try other things on their menu!

We stopped by here on the way to the airport on Tuesday around 10:30am. The male staff was friendly and made conversation with his customers. He might be the owner? We ordered the Combination beef pho and combination broken rice plate. Both were decent. Casual place.

Great Vietnamese restaurant. Service is very quick. Very clean restaurant with traditional Vietnamese decor. They have a nice big tv with a football game. Great spot for delicious meal and watching a game. The pho is good. The bun Bo hue however was very average but I am not docking them for that.

Came here the other day for lunch and was very happy with my experience. The restaurant is no frills and has a relaxed vibe. I ordered the grilled beef with broken rice and a Vietnamese coffee. The entree was great! It was simple but very flavorful, with the beef being very tender and having the slight char from the grill. The dipping sauce and the pickles paired very well to balance the savory goodness. It was also my first time having Vietnamese coffee with the drip contraption they put on top of the glass. The flavor of the coffee was strong and really tasty. I would definitely come here again to try some other things I saw on the menu, I had a hard time choosing!

Order the 1. Phở Xe Lửa ... Super Bowl Rice Noodle Soup "Everything" Combo Beef. It was absolutely delicious and tasty just perfect. It was not too salty. The service was quick and polite. Ambience is laid-back open seating.

Was looking for a new pho spot and came across Khai Hoan, near ASU in Tempe. This is one of the first Vietnamese restaurants in Tempe. They will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. The owner John was very friendly and answered some questions that I had. The pho takes two days to make and you can definitely taste the quality and care in the preparation. The pho is made with non flour noodles and beef bones are boiled to create the stock. The flavor is very mild and well balanced - not too sweet. I had the pho #2. I also sampled two of their spring rolls. Wrapped in lettuce and mint with oil, they are wonderful. Everything is made daily and fresh. I found my new pho spot and will be back soon.

Excellent customer service! I was in the mood for pho and this didn't disappoint. I also had crab puffs. My husband had lemongrass chicken and it was delicious. The broth of the pho was perfect. I highly recommend!

I've been to this pho place so many times and it's always so amazing. The broth is so rich and full of flavor. I usually get the chicken pho, it has chicken breast and broth. The beef pho is also good but it's more on the sweeter side so I prefer the chicken one. The portion size is huge and it's only $15 for the chicken one which is fairly cheap. It has a ton of noodles, green onion, cilantro, and on the side some bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime. We have also tried the appetizers like the egg rolls, spring rolls, fried shrimp, and the crab puffs, they are all so delicious. The spring rolls have a peanut sauce on the side which tastes great but I prefer mine with some sriracha. I'm not much of a seafood person but my boyfriend and sister love the fried shrimp and crab puffs. The restaurant seems like a family owned place, they're all so kind. They are very attentive with everyone and make sure everyone has what they need. The place has many seating options and has all the silverware you need. I love this place so much, it's my comfort spot. I definitely recommend trying it out.

Spring rolls were fresh and tasty and service was good. Peanut sauce was okay but not a huge fan. Restaurant was very popular at lunch time.

I haven't been here for a long time.. This place is one of my all time favorites Pho place. Not to mention my very first Pho I've ever had. My parents brought me here when I was younger.. . It's nice to see that same people work here and food is still pretty darn good. I used to remember this place was my favorite Pho broth. But today it seems little different then what I remember, still good. Ordered Goi cuon for starter.. I ordered #1 the big bowl as usual and wifey ordered #12 seafood with egg noodle. Both yummy as always. Price is way better than lot of other places with good hearty portion. Good to come back here again. Total $43 with Thai tea.

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and craving some spring rolls. Looked up a place and saw this place had good reviews.. RIGHTFULLY SO. Such kind people, welcomed us very warmly. We ordered some pho, the rice vermicelli with shrimp, pork and egg roll. All super yummy! What we enjoyed the most to try was the sauce paired with the spring roll.. not too think not too runny. The inside is very cozy, air conditioned and clean so again, another thumbs up would def come back!

In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised by their growing menu and their willingness to better themselves by listening to Yelp feedback. You can really feel the spirit of home-cooking and the cozy atmosphere of a locally owned restaurant here. In the best way possible, service hasn't changed - it's still the same friendly owner greeting you with a smile and overall cheerful attitude. You can tell that they are actively growing as a restaurant and I can't help but want to cheer them on! Today, I had their banh mi pho with a side of Chinese donuts to dip into the pho broth. Absolutely delicious and great concept. My constructive feedback is if they can dial in their pho broth (which I already enjoy) to have more in-depth bone broth/spice flavor and less reliance on maybe the salty aspect. I'm excited to see the future of this establishment,
