It had been a long absence from this restaurant. This was a pre-Mother's day meal. The place is spacious. I would have given them 5 stars. However, when we walked in there were 3 tables that really needed to be bused. There were 3 employees in the front area. There is no reason why any one of them could not clean the tables. In fact when we left the dirty table count had increased to 5 tables, In any event, service was pleasant and quick. We ordered 2 spring rolls as appetizers and #28. Chicken & shrimp with egg roll combo and one with pork. The spring rolls came out quickly and were fresh and tasty. The staff serving us got our main dishes mixed up. He did not ask and put the dishes in front of us. I kept looking at my bowl trying to tell which one it was because they both looked similar. Before he left I asked if this was the chicken dish. He said no and exchanged them. The food was excellent; fresh salad, grilled perfectly shrimp, and nice marinated protein. If you can overlook the mentioned mistakes , then you would like this place. We ordered a grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli salad, a beef shor ribs pho, and a banh mi. The vermicelli was very refreshing, and thhe amount of pork, shrimp, and egg roll was generous. The beef shor ribs were huge, and it was very tender. The soup was flavorful but light. The food is amazing...everything else is meh. We love the Pho, and if you're really hungry you can add two beef ribs to it...bomb! I enjoy the 5 spice chicken and fried rice. At one time I gave this restaurant five stars. I can no longer go to this business. The service is terrible now. I switched to takeout only because the service has gotten so bad. But even in takeout, the service is bad, like totally ignoring you after waiting 40 min for a simple bowl of pho, (only 2 other tables had anyone sitting so it was a slow day) i had given up with eat in... When you order takeout often what they give you is not what you ordered. Or they put the meat inside the cup with the broth so you get much less broth. Often with takeout they don't give you the extras such as basil, sprouts, jalapeño. After so many bad experiences with takeout and eat in I just can no longer allow my money to support this business. read more

I have successfully eaten here once. However, it was years ago and I don't remember it, so it must've been a neutral visit. Nothing to note either way. These last two attempts, I stopped by during my lunch break to try and put a to-go order in. I stood at the door as the sign said, "please wait to be seated". But I didn't notice mind it once I had that taste of the broth I always try it without any of the extra add ons. The serving size is just right. We've been here a couple times for their Pho which is decent just a little too salty for my liking but i usually add some water to balance the broth out and it's perfect. We had the salted fish fried rice this weekend which was cooked perfectly, salt and pepper prawns, broken rice plate and Bun Bo Hue. The bun Bo hue was pretty good just need a little more seasoning and spice. I like mine really spicy. the portion was also big! The salted prawns were delicious. Perfect appetizer. Com Tam was good as well, meat was seasoned well and flavorful. They didn't serve with broken rice which is traditional. Overall solid place to go to when you're craving Vietnamese food. read more

Pho broth is very satisfying especially on a cold winter day. Their pho 602 was delicious with all the usual meat topping. Beef short rib pho was delish too. The meat was fall off the bone goodness. The pork chop combo rice plate was good also. There was enough flavor on the meats so no need to add any fish sauce that it came with. The soft shell crab slider was very unique. It would have been better if they didn't add so much sauce to it. It was dripping in sauce with every bite. The crab was freshly fried and the bread was nicely toasted. It has a bowl of rice in the middle surrounded by an fried egg, shredded pork, cucumbers, carrots, deep fried shrimp cake, few slices of pork and minced egg cake. This was a great choice. I got really disappointed because it used to be my favorite place in Phoenix. Would not want to go here for pho. I ordered Shrimp Spring Rolls and 602 Special Bahn Mi. The spring rolls barely had shrimp, they add three half pieces and fill it with shredded lettuce and barely and noodles. Definitely will not get again. Their peanut sauce is okay. It made the springs rolls more tolerable. In the end I ripped the roll apart and only ate the shrimp. The Sandwich had pink raw looking meat I'm not familiar with and didn't eat it the sandwich at all since I'm pregnant and wasn't sure if I should eat it. The service was excellent. This Vietnamese joint is no joke! They serve the 3 items that makes you a certified handler of Vietnamese cuisine ; Bun Bo Hue, Bahn Mi Sandwiches and Fried Chicken Wings. If you don't see these things on the menu then they ain't the ones but this joint ain't just the one it's 602! Corny but stay with me. The Sandwiches are a hell of a deal, packed with fixings and as big as my forearm. Didn't get their Bun Bo hue because I had to get the Pho 602 for that beef rib but that certainly didn't disappoint. And those wings were more than proper. Lots of gems out here in AZ and this is one of them. Keep your eye out for this spot within the plaza because you'll regret passing up on this spot. read more
