Our first experience with the restaurant was mediocre with the veggie pho and pad see ew but we wanted to give it another try. Got the chicken satay, panang curry and pad thai. The satay was gamey chicken breast cooked in some seasoning - not what I pictured with small pieces on skewers, but we were hungry so we ate it. The panang curry finally came and as I was about to spoon it the waitress took it out of my hands saying she forgot to put the spice in it. When it came back along with the pad thai there were some red pepper flakes on top of it. Not what you'd expect from thai restaurant spicy levels. Besides the absence of spice the flavor was so bland. The pad thai was overwhelmingly fishy (fishier than pad thai I had in Thailand). My boyfriend is a non-picky voracious eater but he left a third of it... really makes us wonder if the owners have tasted the menus. read more

Pho soup B1 On menu had little to no meat. Not worth it. Flavor was ok. Very dissatisfied with the lack of meat. Never had pho with such a small amount of meat. Fried spring rolls were very small. The Best chicken Pad Thai by far. I live in downtown buffalo but I drive 20 minutes to dine here.

After waiting about 6 months we finally went back to see if things had changed, and they have. The food is still really excellent (impressive for such a large and diverse menu) and the service has gotten a lot better. I live close, and will definitely be back soon. read more

Lowered a star due to service. The calamari appetizer was really good. The pho was flavorful and large servings. Got two different flavors and both broths were delicious. Unfortunately the waiter mixed up our orders and both our orders came out wrong, we addressed this with him and he just stared at us seemingly unsure of how to fix this and offered no solutions. We just took it as is as not to create a fuss. Noticed waiter also had some confusion or needed multiple clarifications for other guest's orders as well. Would recommend as far as the food and would of been a great experience had we had a better/more attentive server that was able write down the correct orders. read more

I wanted to try Pho54 since I like Sushi, Thai, Pho and Vietnamese dishes, all of which are on their menu. I had the restaurant week $20 special (soup, appetizer, entrée, and drink or dessert.) Perfect mushrooms floated in the delicious coconut broth of the Tom Khar Gai Soup, but only ate two bites of the odd-tasting (gamey?) chicken in it. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing and not too sweet. The Spicy Tuna Sushi did not taste as fresh as Wegmans, but it was not awful. The Panang Beef Curry had a large variety of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables, including bamboo shoots. The tiny bits of beef were good, but few and far between. That Panang Curry sauce was one of the best I've tasted, and I have tried any Panang Curry I could find at the Buffalo area's restaurants, plus dozens more when I lived in near San Francisco. I also make my own, which sadly is not very good. Summary: amazing vegetables, broth, and sauce, but meat not so great, nor plentiful. The interior is pretty nice looking for a small place with basic booths and some tables. The placemats, dishes and condiment rack were attractive, and the paper napkins were decent quality. It looked clean. When I arrived it was about half full. Now, the painful part. For such a small place with four employees mostly milling around back by the cash register, it was incredibly slow service. Twice I thought someone would come to my table, because they were helping a table a few feet away from me, but no. One server turned his back to me, and the other looked off in the distance to the side of me... leaving me feeling invisible. So there I sat, still and alert, staring directly at them so I wouldn't miss my chance for eye contact, trying telepathy; only stopping short of calling out or waving my arms, for, oh, I don't know, an eternity? I lost all sense of time. During one long pause between my appetizer and entree, an older man (owner or manager?) came from the back and asked in broken English if I was waiting. "Uh, yes. Done with Sushi, waiting for Curry," I explained. He smiled and walked away, but his visit to my table did not seem to speed anything up. Or maybe it did. Maybe it would have been hours more had he not noticed me. Finally, the server brought the check, saying "there's no hurry," and attempted to speed away. I called out "wait, I AM in a hurry!" reaching out to hand her the two twenties I had been visibly holding like cards. Apparently, after my "wait" outburst I no longer met her standards of a good customer, since she did not look at me or speak when she deposited my change on the table. The food was great and the customer service was friendly. I ordered the Big B special, which is essentially a decent sized vermicelli bowl with a variety of meats including shrimp and beef for ~12-14 dollars. The quality in the food was quite good considering the price point. Regarding the customer service, I ate with a large group; since we had more than 10 people, we could not split the check (beware!). Nevertheless, our waitress was very friendly, took our orders with pleasure, and communicated the difficulties with the check politely and effectively. Overall, the place seems pretty new, and their decors/utensils give off a fusion vibe. I'd definitely recommend eating here, but with less than ten people if you want to split the check! read more

This is a great Vietnamese/Thai restaurant. I think they have fantastic Pad Thai. When we have a craving of this cuisine, this is our go to. We usually order take out but have eaten in the restaurant as well. I usually order some sort of variance of Pad Thai, usually altering my protein to suit my mood and to see what pairs best. I recently tried the Pad See Ew and was very pleased with it. There are three things I absolutely love about this place. One, they make great food. Two, they are very transparent about gluten-free options. Three, they are quick to prepare the food. The only thing I find underwhelming is the overall appearance inside, seems a bit cluttered especially in the back. Since I usually order it to go, that's the least of my worries! read more

So this place is successful in having long menu but didnt ruin the cooking . The main Pho and Vietnamese dishes are not changed in favor of non-vietnamese customers. Although I was wary of trying a restaurant with fewer than 100 reviews, I was not disappointed; the restaurant was clean, the staff were curtious, service was quick, and the food quality was delicious. Fairly new restaurant, only 3 mos. old opened last Feb. restaurant clean and well kept.(didnt visit/check restroom though) Staff friendly, promptness of service is a little slow. It'll be nice to be a little more attentive, like check on the guests how the ordered food turned out after it got delivered. Tried the rice plate(Porkchop with rice, fried egg and side of veggies), Eggrolls for appetizer, Vietnamese iced coffee and my family member ordered medium Pho Bo. It was ok. I was kind of expecting the rice in the rice plate to be fried rice like from other Vietnamese restaurants I've gone to. Instead of just plain white steam rice. We are not from here, but we have had our share of different Pho Resturants. This is by far the worst Pho we have had. The broth had a horrible sour flavor. Attempted to add sriracha and hoisin sauce. It helped a smidge. But after a few bites I had to give up, it was just too horrible. The spring rolls and summer rolls were edible, but would never order again from here. Items were a little overpriced compared to the quality of the food we got. I really love this place, it's my first time here. Since I came from a different state. It taste really good, and my favorite item in the menu is the sushi. It is very fresh, and trying the raw tuna is very fresh. My mother loves the Pho, she said it taste really good, considering we eat a lot of Vietnamese food, it's really good. However the service is slow, when you order food it takes a while, if you're fine with that then be patient. There are only 2 chefs around there. So like yeah. read more
