The beef noodle lunch dish was wonderful! The rare beef and meatball pho...just ok. The broth was just ok. Meatballs no flavor and the beef ok. The vibe here is wonderful. The staff here is wonderful. The menu is huge. I will come back and try some other things. read more

Bun Reiu was delicious. Recommend asking for the shrimp paste to add for extra flavor. The Pho Dac Biet is quite expensive for what it was. Also the meat came out chewy and overcooked. Surprisingly it took awhile for the dishes to come out. I imagine this is just growing pains. Overall menu looks like it has very authentic items aside from just pho. We stopped by for a quick order to go and got their Bahn Mis; combination, crispy pork and meatball. All of them were very good and portions were generous. Price seemed a little high but you get a large baguette instead of the regular size so I feel like it's justified. Lastly, I wanted to comment on their Vietnamese coffee. It is the best that I've ever had. The flavor is nutty, creamy and strong. Kept me up for a while. Price seems high but if the quality is there, I don't mind paying the premium. My wife and I just had lunch at Saigon District 1. The food is delicious and authentic Vietnamese! We started with Goi Tham Cam (Lotus Root Salad) - super fresh. My wife ordered the Bun Rieu and I got the Mi Vit Quay.Both noodle soups were excellent. We were stuffed but had to ordered a couple of Banh Mi sandwiches to take home. I think we just found the best & most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Colorado! To get the same level of quality and authentic dishes as Saigon District 1, you would need to go to Orange County California. If you enjoy authentic Vietnamese food go to Saigon District 1. Been driving to Denver for many years to get good Vietnamese food (New Saigon). So happy to have found this great local option, with a nice dining room. Service was excellent and the menu...amazing. All of the items we ordered were excellent, and the large portions allowed us to eat leftovers for a couple of meals. read more

Every so often, one finds a restaurant where everything is perfect. Saigon District One is just such a place! The food is fresh, flavorful and appealing with lots of variety. They have a large menu so don't be afraid to take some time to find something you'll love. The staff is welcoming, friendly and fun, and they are happy to help you find something wonderful. Don't be surprised to find the chef out talking with patrons as time allows. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and well thought out. Some places skimp on table space, but not so here. As a big guy, I felt right at home. We started with the deep-fried soft-shell crabs and shared seafood stir-fried with curry and the combo noodle bowl. I was the only patron at the time after work at about 4:30. My waiter was walking towards me with my food in his hands, coughed directly onto it, saw that I was looking and smiled at me. He put it down directly in front of me. I promptly asked for the bill because I had lost my appetite. I did not tip (I know, shame on me) because of what I had just witnessed, got up, and left. I can't believe I even put my card down. As I was doing my accounting I looked and they had entered a tip anyway on my bill. Not only morally wrong but completely illegal. I really really wanted to love this place--with such a broad and exciting menu, independent ownership with a great history, and so many prior failures of restaurants in that location so near my home. I went 3 times. The first two times, the food was really mediocre, but the portions were large, and I told myself 'maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. There are 1,000 things on that menu.' The third time, it honestly felt like I walked into a restaurant that was closed. Took me over 20 mins to get a Banh Mi even though I was the only customer in the restaurant (they did have one small Door Dash order while I was there). They seemed very confused when I wanted to pay, and when I did, I was charged nearly 40% more than the listed price of the dish. When I pointed to the specific price clearly posted on the menu, the guy just shrugged and said, 'That's what the computer said,' and refused to review or explain the price further. Such a sad little experience. I wish I could say I would return, but 3 strikes and you're out. read more

Dude who took my order decided answering phone, filling to go orders, everything but serving me was more important. Can understand if he was the only employee but I heard and saw numerous employees. When he finally got around to making and delivering my shrimp banhmi, I was, once again excited. Again, turned to bitter disappointment as I had no idea what I was presented with. I traveled long distance to check this place out so I had high expectations. I was surprised to see how big this restaurant is considering they are not in the Denver Metro. The outside signage looks awesome. Inside, there are plenty of seatings, nice ambiance with Vietnamese music, which is always a plus for me. Their menu is impressive. I don't know how you can cook that much varieties. I ordered Bun Rieu and Che Ba Mau (The three colors dessert.) Che Ba Mau was delicious! The best I have had in Colorado. Bun Rieu was good, not as salty as other places, and had a lot of ingredients. Service was fast and they check on you often. Amazing. And I hope it lasts. The last four restaurants in this space all went out of business. But based on our experience last night, Saigon District One should be here for a long time. My wife and I eat copious amounts of food in this place did not disappoint. We chose three appetizers and two of the giant sampler type platters and it was all a plus. It was a ton of food for $110 which is insane because we essentially had two regular person full meals that night and then leftovers that equated to enough food for two more people with huge appetites. We all enjoyed our food. It's currently a soft opening, and it's clear they're working out kinks. We absolutely loved our fried veggie spring rolls which come with fresh veggies and rice noodles. They don't have alcohol yet, but they said they will. We like how they have redecorated the place, it's got lots of flowers. They were very nice and accommodating to me and my family. I see from other reviewers that some folks find this place a mixed bag, but my 2 cents is that we had a fantastic meal today, service was great, and no complaints. I will mention that one item I wanted was no longer available, and I suggest the owners cross unavailable items off the menu, to avoid customer disappointment. (it was the Vietnamese Pancakes) The reality is however, that there are probably over 100 menu items to pick from and I had zero issues finding another worthy entree. My DH has a vegan option (!) and I had a noodle dish with grilled meat that was so good, I knew it would become one of my "go to's" here. And yes, I will definitely be returning. With so many items to choose from, how could I not keep trying new things? Sure, I've had some of the more common items elsewhere, like Pad Thai, (like who doesn't have that??) but get adventurous, and take a chance on something unique! This is the place to do it. I felt I couldn't go wrong, no matter what I picked. They also have a full Pho menu, so that will be my next tryout. Anyhoo...I recommend giving this place a shot. The only hot thing on the plate were the eggrolls. And I was suspicious because the plate came out like 10 minutes after I ordered it. Went in to eat today with my mother before she flew back home. The host who greeted us if you could call it that, seemed like he didn't want to help us from the very start. I asked the waiter specifically about what certain menu items were and he couldn't even describe what certain number dishes were or what was in them. He at one point just said, "I don't know why they don't label the menu outright"....I asked about a certain plate, he just said with no description whatsoever, "you wouldn't like it"... At almost $25 to $30 a plate, I decided to just get up and walk out since both the host and waiter didn't seem like they wanted to actually explain the menu or treat us with respect. Even if the food is as good as others describe, I won't return due to rude service alone, hence the reason we walked out and just left. read more

I really want them to survive but I fear they won't. With so much competition in the area and the loyals to pho cafe (a few blocks away), I worry they won't be around much longer if changes aren't made. The food was amazing!! My friend and I went on a Friday for lunch and got seated right away!! Chris and the wait staff were so nice and considerate, noticing my discomfort with a booth and immediately offering a table for us instead. They kept coming back and checking in on us if we had any questions about the menu and were on top of filling our waters. We ordered on the of rice paper dishes and it tasted amazing!! Both my friend and I don't like shrimp and they were very kind in helping us substitute more meat instead of shrimp. The price is a little high but the amount of food that is given well compensates the price. Definitely recommend and will have to come back!! read more

I think if they iron out the kinks this place could be better. My daughters and I ate here last night. We arrived just before 5:00p and after we got there then the dinner crowd started to roll in. I could only see one or two servers the whole time so I don't fault our server completely. However, it took quite awhile to get our drinks. Then our food. Our server came back twice to ask what we ordered. Two of the three tvs were playing CNN's coverage of a plane crash in Philly. The mood was pretty low. And it's pretty expensive for what you get. Husband and I decided to try this new place for date night on Sunday 2/23/25. We were so disappointed. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We ordered grilled mussels, stirfry seafood with vermicelli noodles, mango salad with beef, salty fish fried rice, and a fruit tea. It took almost 30 minutes to get the first dish and then about every 10-15 minutes the next dish and 10-15 minutes before the next dish. They messed up on the mango salad with beef and brought us shrimp salad. We had to get their attention. Then they brought us the wrong noodles stirfry. They kept coming to ask if I have gotten my fruit tea yet but never brought it. After all the food was finally on our table they brought me milk tea and quickly walked away. Every time a dish was dropped off our table, they never made sure it was correct or if we needed anything. They would quickly walk off. It was a challenge flagging someone down. They eventually brought my fruit tea but by this time, I was hungry and frustrated. The food was horrible. Everything was overly sweet like msg, sugar and soy sauce on all the dishes, except for the fried rice which had no flavor at all. My fruit tea was so concentrated that I couldn't drink that, either. Nothing was edible! This place lack customer service, extremely disorganized, very inefficient way of running food to tables, and horrible, inedible food! Total before tips $120. Such a waste of money. We left hungry because of how gross the food was. We also watched the server take one of our wrong dish (shrimp salad), stirred it around, and take it to the correct table. We had already eaten into it when we saw the shrimp under the vegetables and herbs. Gross. What they should've done is stay to ask if we'd be OK with taking the dish we already ate into and comping that dish but no, they couldn't be bothered to check with their customers. read more
