My husband is NOT an adventurous diner, but I convinced him to try Pho with me by telling him it was like a bowl of Ramen on steroids. He ordered a Pho with brisket and steak, doctored it up with the fresh flavorings and sauces and is now a huge fan! This place was very clean and we got prompt friendly service. We ordered a large bowl each and were shocked over what we got for $7! The greens were super fresh and included basil and cilantro, sprouts, jalapeños and lime. Ordered a couple shrimp spring rolls and really enjoyed them. Our server patted my husband on the back and congratulated him on finishing his huge bowl. If you are ever in Denver this is a must eat! This is the best Pho spot in the world. Now, I know this is a huge statement. But I'll stand by this statement until I'm proved wrong. My GF and I visited Vietnam in search of the best Pho. We learned that Pho changes in recipe from up North to South. In North Vietnam, the Pho was very simple and plain. The deeper South we traveled (Saigon) the more flavor and elaborate the Pho became. So, Pho95 is a southern Vietnamese style pho with an American punch of flavor. We asked our waiter at Pho95, why is the Pho so different here in flavor then what we could find in Vietnam. His answer was perfect. In Vietnam we have our diet. It is not influenced by different cultures. Here, the diets are influenced by other cultures. Spices and flavors have to be combined to cater to the culture here. Americans need stronger flavors because we can get food from every culture here. Taste buds are different here. Pho95 is my favorite pho joint. read more

Why is this place so good?? This is my 3rd time here and it is still my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Denver. I'm not Vietnamese but I've had a handful of pho in my life and have yet to find a place that serves as good of a meat to noodle ratio as Pho 95... and to be honest, that is what keeps me coming back. The first time I dug my chopsticks in the bowl, I couldn't believe how difficult it was to take them back...they were buried in meat! And as for the vermicelli, you can't even see the noodles at first because of how much meat they give you. So for meatlovers, just come. It will not disappoint. Pho 95 is the real deal. I've been eating pho since I was four, only a handful of times have I ever had perfectly seasoned broth and this is one of them one being my step mom. I ordered the large pho with brisket, tripe and rare steak. They don't skimp on the veggies or meat either. Usually I order extra noodles, big mistake... couldn't eat them because I was so full. My girlfriend had the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken. She fucked it up.. she never fucks anything up when we go out. I wish I lived in Denver.. COME HERE. read more

Aaron has eidetic memory. It's freakish. I met Nicole from Boston there today to share in the pho-ey goodness, and not only did Aaron remember me (last meeting: Labor Day), but he also remembered what number I ordered at the UYE pho event like, what 2+ months ago? I was just boggled. And classic Aaron of course: warm, and caring, and just a delight to be around, as always. I got treated like his best friend...almost too much. Had the #13 (everything but tripe), delectable; spent a good 10 mins preparing it with shredding bean sprouts, basil, coriander and so on. (Now I know what coriander looks like. Dandelion leaf!) I don't know what Matthew "I'm your huckleberry" is talking about with Pho 95's broth being anything less than heavenly. I doctored mine with some hoisin and rooster sauce of course. Nicole was kind enough to let me sample her mango boba...when you spend your life mostly avoiding sugar-laden stuff, tasting a boba shake really makes the "THIS HAS MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SUGAR" alarms go off like an incoming missile. I can only dream of guzzling a whole boba; it'll never happen though. :( I tipped 30%; Aaron and crew earned every penny of it. We are from the DC Metro so have a good taste in authentic Vietnamese food. The pho was decent but the meat portions were extremely generous. The soup was your typical base, nothing too special but it was nice that they had Sate available upon request. The client base here was pretty mixed but lacking in Asian business, I think it is more catered to the American taste but does the job for a quick fix. There are several pho places to choose from around Denver but we decided to stop by Pho 95. Parking around the area can be a pain. The restaurant has a small parking lot and it was completely packed! However, there's a huge parking lot on the other side of the fence and there's plenty of parking. I came here for dinner with friends and we were seated immediately for a table for six. I ordered the pho dac biet and it was delicious! The broth was savory and there was a lot of meat in the noodle bowl. Also the service was quick. This review is basically an average, as the food was pretty fantastic. However, the service was lackluster...actually it was poor. We walked in and were ignored for at least 10 mins. There was a server or busser who almost ran us over on multiple occasions as he passed by. Then when we finally got seated, I had high hopes for our server, as he was seemingly pleasant. But ultimately he too ignored us. He took our orders and delivered our check. Someone else brought the food, gave us to-go boxes and took our payments. I really wanted to LOVE this place. I mean look at the reviews! First of all this place is busy...like packed to the max busy...even on a saturday at like 2 pm. Most of the seating is for 4 people so if it's for more make sure you get there with your whole party or early in the day. We ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls. The pork was tender, flavored, and lean inside. Very tasty and I was pretty impressed. The Vietnamese egg rolls tasted good but nothing to rave about. Average fried egg roll. Now for the pho. I ordered the seafood pho. Medium or even the small is plenty of food for a 5' chick. It's huge...but disappointingly, it's mostly noodles. I wanted more of meat! Or in my case, seafood. The flavors of the traditional pho were there but I was missing that GASM moment I thought I would have.... Did I overeat? Yes. Was it delicious? Yes. This place has one of the best phos in the Denver metro area. First off, the place is a diamond in the rough. Sure the restaurant looks a bit iffy for my standards, but to me location and the ambiance does not matter as much as the food. I went here with a good friend of mines because we just are in love with pho and we were looking for a more delicious pho joint. We came across here randomly, and decided to eat here. Let me just tell you the broth here has that "brothy" taste lol. It's also very flavorful, which I believe a lot of pho joints are lacking. A lot of pho places also worry about filling the whole bowl with meat and noodles, but I believe that a good noodle soup depends on the broth, and this place gets an A+ for their broth. One issue I had though with the pho here is that the quantity is a bit lacking. After I finished my small, I wasn't full. Pho 95 has been on my to try list for a while. After standing outside at a race finish line passing out water in a chilly wind, I was wanting something that would warm me to the bone. And Pho is my version of chicken noodle soup. I opted for the vegetarian pho with the meat broth (I'm not a vegetarian). For starters, I love that the tofu came fried and I didn't have to specifically ask for that (my last pho place would always make a bit of a show of asking the chef if the tofu could be fried). The veggies were also a nice combination of broccoli, carrot and snap peas. The broth makes a pho though and this is the best broth I have had. It was nicely balanced to begin with and then I added additional hot sauce and teriyaki to give it my personal flair. It was lava hot which was good because the noodles and veggies came cold so mixing everything together created the perfect temperature. With this order I got it to go but next time I go will definitely be at the restaurant. read more

As someone visiting Denver from LA, I was naturally skeptical of the quality of Asian foods that would exist in Denver. But it was the last day of our trip and on a cold day, we really were craving for some Asian goodness. Out of desperation, we searched for some food options and saw this pho place had 4.5 stars on Yelp. We saw the reviews and photos and thought it had to be somewhat decent so we came to this place. I ordered the Pho Tai and shared pork spring rolls with a friend. I realized the Medium pho was definitely big (being a girl who eats a good portion amount) so I would say the Small is fine to order for any average person. The pho was pretty great though! It was on par with many of the top pho places I go to in LA if not better. The broth was rich but not too overdone. It was clean tasting with the right amount of taste that it had been cooked for a long time with beef. The noodles were on point as well and so were all the veggies. The spring roll was pretty delicious as well. It was as authentic as it gets. The restaurant was on a street that seemed to have lots of asian restaurants (especially Vietnamese restaurants) so it seems like the right area to go to for asian food options. My friend and I went here for dinner because his coworker had recommended this place. He got a pho tai filet mignon dac biet, and I went with a pho dac biet, my go-to choice at any pho restaurant. My friend said he liked his pho. I enjoyed my bowl as well. Flavor-wise, it's on par with most of the pho I used to eat growing up in San Jose, CA. What made this a 5-star for me was the meat to noodle ratio. Many pho restaurant usually give a modest amount of meat and pile in the noodles; I'd either have to eat more noodles with each piece of meat, or I'd end up finishing my last few bites without any meat. At Pho 95, this was probably the first time I still had meat in my bowl when I finished my noodles, and I didn't need to eat large mouthfuls of noodles with each bite. That will always be a plus in my book. I definitely would return here the next time I'm in town. read more

Love this pho place! It's one of my favorite go to pho spots in Denver. The prices are super affordable, plus the portions are big. I always get the large combination pho and they always serve it with plenty of meat, broth and noodles. Not many people like the tendon or tripe but it's always super delicious when I get it here. The tendon is soft and melts in my mouth and the tripe has nice chewy texture (not rubbery) that goes well with the pho. I really don't have anything negative to say about this place because the food is always fresh and flavorful. Even the service is fast and friendly. Also I love looking at the fish tank! I came here on a chilly night. I ordered a couple of beers while I waited for my order. They had my order ready before I finished one... I had the flank steak and filet minon. The large was a little over ten bucks and could have easily fed a family of three with generous portions. Here's the only downside of this popular joint... My fiancé and I decided to give this restaurant a try after seeing that this place had a high rating. I was really excited to try their pho, especially since it was a cold and rainy day and I was craving pho! I was disappointed. They were busy and the waiter seemed to be in a rush-ok, they were busy so I understand. But the waiter asked my fiancé what he wanted to drink and left without asking what I wanted to drink. I had to ask for water myself when he came back to take our order. He did bring the water out pretty quickly after I asked and apologized. We ordered the egg rolls and two small bowls of the pho and realized that he brought out two medium sizes halfway through eating it. We ordered the small bowl of pho with rare beef, tendon and tripe. We had to pay extra for meatballs and was surprised as we never had to pay extra for them at any other pho restaurant. The rare beef was low quality. The broth to me was a bit on the bland side...it wasn't horrible, but definitely not the best I've had. It was sweet, but didn't have that rich beef flavor that I'm used to. They do give you a good portion of Thai basil, culantro, lime and bean sprouts for garnish, which I loved because I like a lot of herbs in my pho. But there was no cilantro..strange. The egg rolls were good and came with noodles, lettuce, herbs and a yummy dipping sauce. The bill was expensive-$37 for an order of egg rolls, two medium bowls of pho (they were supposed to be small instead of medium :/), and a Dr. pepper..this was not including tip. Overall, I don't think the food or service was worth the amount that we spent. We won't be coming back the next time we're in Denver. read more

I can vouch wholeheartedly that this spot has the best veggie pho. As for other pho's, not sure how they compare. If you like lots of veggies and a crisper tofu in a very flavorful, oniony veg broth with kick--look no farther. 4 stars for the food, -1 for ambience.
