    Well done flank

First time and the vibes are super chill. This isn't your super fancy, authentic atmosphere, but it's still great for some lunch. as you walk up, the menu is along the wall, it has pictures which helped a lot a. The cashier was helpful as well. I went with the well done flank, and ended up adding a lot of the siracha and other spices, lil soy sauce, add the basil and roots all those goodies. Really quick service, very tasty as well. The plastic or metal chopsticks they give you is a little odd and harder to use than the normal ones most places have in my opinion but I'm always down to tackle a challenge. Gf got some broth and noodles, and when she needed to go cup, they brought out a big XL slurpie looking cup and we dumped the soup in there lol. I thought that was a unique touch. Overall would definitely come back and try again!

I live about 30 minutes away from this place, but come here so often the staff recognizes my order. The employees are really diligent here, and provide a clean and calm environment. Their vegetarian option for pho is just as delicious as the meat options, my meat eating friends will often order the vegetarian one because it is so good! If you are sick, or having a bad day, this restaurant's soup is a cure-all!

Disclosure.. I am from Southern California so the Vietnamese community and accessibility to all things Vietnamese are quite convenient.. so my expectations are probably different from most. Anywho, this pho is probably one of the best pho in Cincinnati. The broth was nice, it wasn't too fatty and the quality of meat was good. Few things that bothered me that aren't food related.. the way I had to order lol... I know it's weird.. but I'm used to a server taking my order vs having to stand in line like a fast food place. The condiments at the table, like the hoisin sauce bottle, were dirty and sticky. Lastly... This was probably the most expensive pho I've ever bought.. $16 for a regular size bowl. DAMN... You know times are tough when the price of Pho is that much.. not their fault.. it's the sign of the times.

My wife and I tried this place for lunch recently and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is cafe style where you order at the counter and take a number to a seat of your choosing. Ambience allured to a modern diner with pictures on the wall of various pho ingredients and Vietnamese decoration. I got the meat lovers pho combo which came with an egg roll and drink and she got the beef pho with a fountain drink as well. Fountain selection was decent but the meal was phenomenal. Of course any pho isn't great unless the broth is spot on and of course they made a deep, rich and flavorful broth. Accompanying were the general topping you get like jalapeño slices, bean sprouts, lime wedges and basil leaves. There wasn't any cilantro which surprised me but I assumed the basil made up for that. On the table were some sauces like chili oil, hoisin sauce and soy. The meats in the broth were cooked to masterfully and tender as ever and the rice noodles were perfect consistency. The egg roll almost stole the show of the meal by being the best egg roll I've ever had. Extremely tasty and the crispiest, flakiest pastry roll that just made me want to order 100 more. Good pho, in my opinion, is pretty easy to find but great pho, such as this, is somewhat rare. I'm so happy we found this establishment and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next meal here.

I'm in Ohio for work and love to visit Vietnamese restaurants. My brother recommended this place and The nouc mam was so flavorful and delicious. Banh beo was probably made hours ago but it was still great. Bun Bo hue was good but not as heavy on the lemongrass as I like it. But still good!

This place was pretty alright. I would agree the veggies to add were a little on the wilted side. Overall it was good. The prices are right. I got some egg rolls, papaya salad with dried beef, and a round eye steak and meatball phó. I like the way a lot of the restaurants here do shrimp fried with the pork in the eggrolls. The papaya salad was good. Never had it with dried beef before. Not too bad. The pho broth was good. A nice bone broth. I liked that they had lots of phó seasoning available. It was good to not have to ask for something.

The food was disappointing here. We ordered pho and beef stew with french bread. The pho broth was decent, but hardly had an beef in the dish. The vegetables for the pho were wilted and browning. The beef stew had raw carrots that were thrown in last minute. I do not recommend this place if you want authentic Vietnamese.

#11 Eye Round and Well Done Flank, 2 Vietnamese Egg Rolls

I stopped by for a carry-out order before work yesterday. I've only had Pho one other time so I might not have a strong frame of reference but I really enjoyed the #11 Eye Round and Well Done Flank meal I got. The broth came in a large container and all of the components of the Pho came on the side so it was an 'assemble' yourself kind of situation. Once 'assembled' the flavors were out of this world. In addition to my noodles I got 2 egg rolls. The sauce for the egg rolls had a great sweet/spicy combo that I won't soon forget. It was a great meal that felt fresh and light. I will say this place is probably better enjoyed as a dine in experience due to the difficulty of transporting piping hot broth. Next time I go I'll be eating in but I'll certainly be going again.

Pho 96 is a good place for noodles and soup. It's a real casual atmosphere. This is order at the counter for dining in and takeout. It's brought to your table when it's ready. This isn't all that authentic, but it's better than that Panda Express shit. I had the vegetarian pho. It's about $10 for a humongous bowl. This came with basil leaves and bean sprouts. It's put on top of the soup before you eat. They have instructions how to eat it above the tables. Other things on the menu include bubble tea, which all look pretty good. The service was pretty fast considering it usually takes awhile to make this. I know this isn't authentic Vietnamese. It's still good. This is one of the best local places for pho.

The egg rolls are homemade, and I think the lady that made them delivered it to our table. Better than PF Chang's! My husband tried the Cumin Beef, and they were kind enough enough to omit the cilantro. The smell was divine - it was spicy though! A bit surprised they didn't ask what spice level he wanted the dish? I think I ordered the Fish Fillet Delight (the online menu is slightly different than the in person menu), it was a mild sauce, almost tasted like nothing. Towards the end once or twice I tasted the ginger, other than that, very bland. I would not order this again. Lots of food on the plate though! Ordered the pumpkin pastry at the end of the meal. It did not taste like pumpkin at all. It was melting molten mochi and vaguely yellow. Would not get this again. Thankfully I ordered the Chrysanthemum tea, which was delightful. I think Great Tang has the potential to be a great hidden gem, I just need to find my go to dish. If you like spicy, try the Cumin Beef!

I ordered the Sizzling Beef with Vietnamese Baguette from their specials menu, along with a taro milk tea. The special dish arrived sizzling hot. The beef and meatloaf were delicious, the salad vegetables tasted fresh, and the bread seemed freshly toasted. The presentation of the dish was also excellent for the price. However, I felt that the portion size of meat was a little disappointing. For a $17 meal, I expected a bit more meat. One thing that really upset and frustrated me was the unreasonable long wait for my taro milk tea. It wasn't served until after I had already finished my meal, even though I reminded both my waitress and another waiter. It was just a plain taro milk tea without any toppings or boba, so I was confused about why it had to take so long. I understand that weekends can be busy, but it still didn't make sense for such a simple drink to take longer than my entire meal. To their credit, they ended up not charging me for the taro milk tea. However, the experience left me with a bad impression that ordering a boba drink here could take forever or possibly be forgotten altogether. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but if you're planning to order a boba drink and are in a rush, this is not the best place. The taro milk tea tasted good though, so I'd probably order again when I have plenty of time to spare.

We noticed this Vietnamese restaurant as we left jungle Jim's grocery store so we decided to eat here because it was close by. We visited on Saturday, the 22nd of August 2026. FOOD -- Classic Vietnamese favourites such as the Bah Mi, Egg rolls, beef stew or beef pho, etc. What I ordered: -- (3/5) stars Banh Mi Sandwich (Banh Mi Thit Nuong) -- listed as S1 on the menu -- Grilled Pork ($9.50). The banh Mi sandwich was good but the bread was slightly hard and some parts of the pork meat was tough to eat but overall, it was an edible lunch. -- (4/5) stars Summer Roll / Goi Cuon (listed as A03 on the menu) - contains shrimp, pork, vermicelli, and vegetables wrapped in soft rice paper. The summer roll tasted refreshing especially being dipped in the provided sauce which I think was a peanut sauce. My friend and I split the summer roll so I got one and she got one. A slightly warm summer roll would have tasted even better but eating it cold is good too. The pork didn't taste as fresh. -- (5/5 stars) Nuoc Mia Tuoi ($7.50) - an absolutely refreshing sugar cane drink with kumquat (a type of lime) - I ordered this without pineapple and orange because the waitress told me that the traditional Vietnamese way to drink this sugarcane drink is just with the sugarcane and kumquat. I really enjoyed the sugar cane drink even though it was slightly too sweet because sugarcane is sweet. At least there are no added and artificial sugars in the drink. It is all natural sugar. While I was only visiting Cincinnati for the weekend, if I lived here, I could definitely see myself coming to eat at Pho District again. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 185/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1026 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 3 September 2026
