Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food finally in the area!! You can taste the difference in the pho broth. 100% fresh beef bone simmered for 12 hours!! The quality is worth the slightly elevated prices. They've now started using fresh noodles too and wow - so bouncy! Super friendly staff, though def could have used a refill on our waters and we did have to remind them that we ordered a drink. Wow finally a Vietnamese restaurant on the northern side of queens. I'm just glad to have options! But as an added bonus, the food was good! The pho broth was a little different than what I'm used to but still delicious! hubs and I got our usual - 2 bowls of soup + spring rolls (and a coffee for him) and our meal kept us full for the next 5 hrs. While prices are higher than average for a Vietnamese place, they more than make up in portion size. Restaurant is mostly no frills and service was fine. Grilled lemongrass chicken Vermicelli needs to marinate more because the lemongrass flavor is not strong enough. Can taste the spices in the pho broth but again, it's not enough. Finally there is an authentic Vietnamese spot in the area. The meats might lack a bit in flavor in comparison to what we're used to in other Viet spots but everything was pretty great. Pho broth was flavorful and unique with the scallions added. Vermicelli had a nice bounce and we also tried the fried crab spring rolls. I'm excited to try other items and hope they stick around. A friend recommended this place so I decided to stop by and try it out. I seen this place driving by and felt odd a Vietnamese place in this area. Let's give it a try. FYI i was born and raised in Chinatown; experienced many pho places, visited viet friends in Philly, Louisiana Houston every year which has a huge population of viet food. Being on the side street serving viet food in rego park/forest hills at that price point? Price is too high for sub par food that don't taste like viet. I'm not even sure if the people there was viet cause based on the flavor it felt like Tibetan seasoning definitely not viet. The owner said Italian bread for bahn mi? No viet place serves bahn mi on Italian bread; it's French bread. This place is over priced for sub par wanna be viet food. Sorry but I really wanted to love this place but I have to tell the truth. Have ate at this establishment 4 times now since it opened. The service each time is great, and their beef flank and grilled pork pho noodle soup taste great as well. The soup is always hot and the meat is not overcooked. The type of noodles they use is wider than most Vietnamese restaurants, which I like. The only thing I would like to see more of is attention to cleaning of the tables and sauce bottles. The times I have been in there, the tables and sometimes seats as well were wet. Nothing large like puddles, but streaks. In addition, there was quite a bit of residual sauce outside of the openings of both the hot and oyster sauce bottles, and this was during the first hour of opening. read more
