The soft tofu soup was flavorful and comforting. They're currently having a special for only $14.99 for the soup, which is such a steal! Our waitress was also incredibly nice and welcoming. The only thing I wish they had was rice served in a stone pot so you could enjoy nurungji afterward, but other than that, everything was great! Would definitely recommend. So happy to have a new go-to sundubu (soft tofu) place in this area! I tried the oyster sundubu & it was delicious, & they served a great variety of fresh banchan (side dishes), too! Everything tasted natural & not over seasoned or sugary. I think there is no MSG in the sundubu which is a huge plus because a lot of places do put MSG & it triggers migraines for me. I really loved the banchan (seaweed, potato salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cakes, Korean fried zucchini pancake!). They have a summer special right now - $15 for sundubu (not sure how long they will offer it). Next time I will try to go before 3pm so I can get the lunch special with sundubu + galbi (BBQ short ribs). The service is very kind & they give you a slice of watermelon for dessert. When I arrived there were only two tables occupied and I was seated promptly. The restaurant itself is pretty small but overall very clean. I ended up getting the Mushrooms Tofu soup mild and let me tell you it was still pretty spicy to me. My parents and I saw the restaurant's grand opening sign, and after taking a look at the menu and soup deal for the month, we decided to eat here for dinner. The place was quiet and empty at the time we arrived, with only one server. She was friendly and quickly got our orders started. Our side dishes and food came out within 15 minutes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious! (I'm not a big fan of tofu soup, but after trying some from my parents, the flavor was great and had me considering ordering my own soup the next time I visit!) Our server checked in occasionally to ask how our food was and to refill our side dishes. When we finished, we were pleasantly surprised to receive some freshly cut watermelon slices for dessert! I also really appreciated the level of care the server gave to the customers. There was another couple who came in later, and I noticed the server giving the couple tips on how to best enjoy their food. I want to compliment on the beef bulgogi hot pot bibimbap, but being this is a tofu soup restaurant, I'll start with that first. It tasted exactly how tofu soup should taste. It was great and had enough soft tofu. It wasn't overly spectacular, but it was definitely grade A enough for me. Now, the beef bulgogi hot pot bibimbap was absolutely delicious. I loved how it contained everything a great version of that dish should have. It was simple, yet perfectly balanced with just the right amount of vegetables and ingredients. Everything worked together so well, I absolutely will be eating that again. The cherry on top was the price of the combo. My husband and I went to your restaurant for dinner for Father's Day around 7:30pm. While the food was great, we had a very disappointing and rude interaction with one of your servers. While we were finishing up and had paid for the check, I pulled out cash and left it on the table to tip the server. When the server came back to grab the bill, she looked at the receipt and saw that we didn't tip on the receipt and came back to us and said, "No tip?" but in a very rude voice. We told her we were tipping in cash, which I had right in front of me. The server saw the cash that was in front of me, took it without asking and walked away. No thank you, no apologies, nothing. If you had a dental procedure I recommend getting the vegetable tofu soup with no spice, and the side dish of potato salad is soft and fluffy.
