Have been here so many times over the years and it's so reliable. I always get a large pho tai (they only have large and XL lol). We also like their shrimp spring rolls (comes with 6, about $10) Pros: - extremely fast service. Maybe like 5 minutes or less between the time you order and the time your pho comes out piping hot. - lots of parking available (can be a busy plaza but I've never had any issues finding any) - Decent portions - authentic - [[HIGHLIGHT]]casual vibes, perfect to come in PJs or sweats lol nobody will judge you[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - very generous with the meat - [[HIGHLIGHT]]great for large parties, lots of space[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cons: - pho is getting expensive these days but I guess it's not their fault, you can easily leave here with a $40-50 bill for an app and 2 soups. It is what It is these days; sad I will be back lol

I'm in this restaurant in numerous amount of times this place is always solid. My secret hidden gem. This restaurant has been around for quite a long time and it's always solid every time I go. The soup is always hot and flavorful and the produce and noodles are always fresh. This spot is locally loved by many. Definitely if you want a fair price for a nice bowl of noodles or some good Vietnamese food come to the spot. There is reason why this restaurant has been in the community for so long quality solid!!

There isn't a lot of great Vietnamese food in the San Leandro area. I've tried most of the local spots, and when I'm craving pho, my go-to places have been Pho Auntie in Castro Valley or Pho Huong Que and Pho Ao Sen in Oakland. I've passed by Pho An Hoa plenty of times but never stopped in until I saw someone on Reddit recommend it as one of the better options. I came by during weekend lunch and it was pretty busy. I ordered my usual pho chin bo vien, which is pho with brisket and beef balls. I also got a side of scallion oil since I like a richer broth. For takeout, I added an order of eggrolls because a lot of people on Yelp mentioned they were good. I was pleasantly surprised by the pho. The broth has a slightly sweet flavor, the brisket was tender, and the portion size was generous. The eggrolls, though, were disappointing. I'm Vietnamese, so I know what traditional eggrolls should taste like, and these were missing key ingredients like glass noodles, wood ear fungus, and taro. They tasted more like Chinese-style eggrolls filled mostly with cabbage, though at least there was some pork in them. I probably wouldn't order the eggrolls again, but I'll definitely come back for the pho since it's close to home.

What an amazing find in San Leandro!!! When I'm not stuck in the 'burbs, I love to explore different restaurants. We found Pho An Hoa on Yelp. Drove to it around 8pm on a Friday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty packed. Must be good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu definitely had more options than what I'm used to so I ordered something different: GỎI CUỐN TRÁI BƠ or Avocado Spring Rolls: What I love about them is the peanut sauce! So good. CƠM CÁ BÔNG- LAU CHIÊN DÒN: A generous size of perfectly fried crispy sole filet with a side of rice and steamed veggies. Ooh!! So delicious. They had me with the piece of butter on top. I would order this again. HỦ TIẾU BÒ KHO: Beef stew with rice noodles. Flavorful sweet broth. Very filling. Friendly staff.

Vs. what was delivered. Entirely different

Photo vs. Reality. My job orders from here monthly but I decided to switch my order up only to be deceived by the photo on DD vs. what was delivered. To make it worse the sauce sent was not sweet and sour but spicy.

Been coming here for 10+ years but won't be coming back. The taller lady at the register is super shady. Check your receipt when you're dealing with her.

Been here three times (twice in person and once for takeout) and finally getting around to reviewing this place. Must say their pho is much better than their bun (vermicelli) and that eating in makes all the world of difference. I got their #10 (L) which was generously portioned and well flavored, but I wasn't a huge fan of the well done brisket. When I went back recently for take out, I asked to switch out the well done brisket for the fatty brisket and I think they ended up giving me a #14 instead. Hoping the next time I go back I can get the ttuen#10 combo with the variety of meats and just switch out the well done brisket for the fatty brisket.

Summary of our experience: good food, bad service. Their #10 pho dac biet was really good. It had a generous amount of meat and good broth. Not sure what their #23 is about. It said crispy brisket, but the meat looked the same as the #10. The menu had additional authentic food options. We particularly appreciated how they included pictures and descriptions. Anyway, food aside.. the rest of our experience was pretty meh. It took awhile before anyone took our orders. They also didn't come by again after bringing our food to the table. Payment is done at the front. Weird moment here for us. They didn't like it when we picked up the machine.. but come on it's not like we're going to run off with it or anything.

Beef Stew with Egg Noodle Soup

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. We came in to eat a late dinner so there was plenty of parking available at the time. Others in the group have eaten here and said the food was always good. There weren't a lot of people in the restaurant as it was after 8 p.m. so we got service right away. We ordered the shrimp spring roll for an appetizer. It was delicious. I ordered the beef stew with egg noodle soup. I brought part of it home as it was too much for me to finish. The beef stew was still delicious when I ate it the next day. Beef noodle soup and grilled pork chop were also ordered. Everyone said their dishes tasted good. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

It was our first time here and we enjoyed the food. The service was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the menu are sticky! That was a turn off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That's why they are getting a 3 Stars

    Crystal H.

We ordered pho dac biet and bo kho through DoorDash. The broth was perfect favor! Not salty at all. They gave a lot of beansprout and toppings. There was only large and X-Large size available. They have flat noodle (ho fun), egg noodle, clear noodle for $1.50 substitution. Good quality food.

Tried Pho An Hoa today and went with the Grilled Pork Vermicelli. The pork was grilled nicely, really flavorful with a nice char, and the portion was huge. Definitely didn't leave me hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the sauce that came with the dish was decent but it did the job. Service was pretty fast and friendly. I'm a big fan of Vietnamese food, and overall, this spot hit the mark. The only downside is the price, it's a little on the expensive side for what it is. Still, the quality was solid, and I'd come back to try more from the menu.

Then, as much as we loved the banh mi, the banner and the sidewalk sign advertising them as a new lunch option last year seemed almost like they were really, really trying to pull in more people any way they could. Every time I walked past this place, it was either empty or there were one to two tables with guests at a time. So when the word finally broke a few days ago that the owners have sold the place and are closing, I felt really sad, but wasn't surprised. It's definitely the end of an era, and is one of those longtime San Leandro restaurants in this strip of E 14th that has a comforting, early 2000s vibe -- and is now gone, like so many before them. It's frustrating, especially because the likelihood of them possibly getting replaced by a chain or yet another taqueria or Chinese place is high (though they apparently don't know what will be moving in after them). Dropped by yesterday with my husband for a final lunch. He got the bun bo hue and I got the yellow curry stir fry and fried rice. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the restaurant was nearly entirely full with people having their own last meals and saying their goodbyes to the owners. While the owner was incredibly nice, service was terrible. She was overworked, working the counter, packing up to-go orders, taking table orders, bringing out food, AND bussing tables alone. The party next to us was a little frustrated that she still hadn't come by to take their order and went to the counter to flag her down. I don't know how much longer Le Soleil would've remained viable if service has been like this for months. It's a sad situation, but I wish nothing but the best for the owners, especially if they decide to open another restaurant in the future.

We were in the area and it has been years since we ate at the original one, probably since they first opened. We were greeted and seated right away. Our order was taken in a timely manner. We ordered the Oxtail pho, banh mi xiu mai, bot chien, and an avocado smoothie. Our food came out pretty quick minus the bot chien which the server said usually takes awhile. Oxtail pho was as good as we remember. Oxtail was fall off the bone, actually, all the meats in the pho were very tender, which we love. Banh mi xiu mai was all right. I felt like something was missing, but I can't figure out what it is.
