The only reason I keep coming back is because this is located close to work and the lunch prices fit a budget. Sometimes the pho is OKAY, other times it is just downright flavorless. Pho - overall bland, small portion, and nothing extraordinary. Be warned if you get the rare steak, it has been known to have large portions of fat floating in it - it made my coworker sick. Sushi - oftentimes smells fishy and not fresh. I would only suggest coming here if you are desperate for sushi and pho, and I mean really desperate. Came here tonight for some quick good sushi and we are pretty happy. Prices were very reasonable, we got a lot of food for a good price. The food was good and I would definitely eat it again. My sushi was amazing, beef bulgolgi was amazing as well. As far as the Yalu Udon, we were not impressed. The noodles were wet and soggy which kind of ruined the whole dish for me but my husband was whatever about it and ate some of it But this did not kill it for me! Nice little restaurant, but NOT high quality Asian food. I had the dolsot bibimbop, which was so-So. It was super pricey for what it was and I've had way better at Korean restaurants for a better price. The toppings were subpar-- frozen veggies, lettuce, broccoli, carrots, etc. Didn't remember seeing the seasoned bean sprouts or cucumbers or other typical Korean veggies on top. The beef was low quality and grisly and not flavorful at all. The red spicy sauce was too sweet. I snagged a few bites of my hubby's bulgogi bento. The bulgogi flavor was good, but the texture was sorely disappointing. Bulgogi is supposed to be tender, but this was super fatty, grisly and chewy. The tempura was good though-- crispy and light. The wait staff was really nice, so I appreciated that, especially after I spilled my water all over the place. Oops. Even when they get busy like today.. CON: Service- when I arrived we asked to see a menu but got ignored. We finally got one...then we got ignored more for another 10 Minutes...so advisory my girl was sitting there 20 Minutes... A Latina woman was rushing around obviously overwhelmed... After she disappeared for a long time, We stopped an older Asian man to ask if someone could take out order and he actually Rolled his eyes at us like " ugh more customers"- it was so obviously that we couldn't believe it had to laughed..another couple near us say his look too and mentioned it to us late. My girl actually called him out like... Yeah people like to order to eat! Later when we actually got our beer and food no one checked on us and forgot to give us the sides for the soup- we had to ask... Pro- we liked the food. 8.99 for a bowl of pho and a whole 8 piece crunch roll was a good deal. They have a beer special of the day that rotates... I was at the restaurant waiting for my family to arrive, I told the waitress (wearing a wig) that my sister and her family would be coming in as well and I asked if the table next to me could be held for them. When my sister arrived (party of 5) the waitress told my sister that she would have to charge 18% gratuity for her and her 4 children. We were surprised, she had never been charged gratuity for dining with her 4 children. I had already ordered my food prior to her arriving but the way she came across to my sister was very rude and unprofessional. I also happened to not mention that when she came to take our order, she was upset that we didn't know what we wanted so she said, "look at the menu!" Then she turned around and walked away. I thought, maybe she is having a bad day, so I let it slide. But then the whole 18% gratuity thing just told me she was being a B period. We decided to get up and leave and dine elsewhere. I did not open the Sprite nor did I receive my food. We left in our own vehicles to the next restaurant. The waitress (with the wig) followed my sister to her car and argued with her asking why did we leave. My sister explained that we were turned off by her customer service, the lady continued to argue with my sister and demanded she explain why we had all left. I order from Postmates a lot. Pho & Roll's pho transports beautifully. They keep the noodles, fixings, and broth separate and you combine them when you get them. The broth is always piping hot and cooks the tender meat morsels in no time. This is truly the best pho I have ever had. The texture of the noodles, the perfect light taste of the broth, the tenderness of the meat, it's all amazing! I always order a side of the their egg rolls. I split this meal between two days and it's filling and has amazing flavor. I really can't rave enough about this place. I ordered the Las Vegas roll and my husband ordered the Macho roll. I lreally liked the menu because there are a lot of options for baby sushi eaters like me who prefer rolls that are fried or partially baked. Our rolls were really tasty and a good sized. It's cool that they offer a salad ahead of your meal, and the dressing is, as my husband put it, amahzing. We also ordered edamame, and the sauce that they pour over it is a little bit like crack. Like we were literally scooping up the leftover sauce at the end. My husband's Thai iced tea was creamy and delicious and very sweet of course. He walked towards another table and started taking plates and bought some out, then he headed towards the sushi bar area and right away got some salads out, was not clear if he washed his hands but he brought them out quickly so who knows. Later a lady assisted us who was way nicer and patient. She was the only "non-Vietnamese" employee, she checked in more on our table than the guy. Our teenage son took his girlfriend to Pho and Roll to celebrate their 5 months of dating Saturday. He wanted to surprise her and then walk around Uptown and get Boba at their spot Chillin. Well their experience was not what he expected which made us very sad and upset since we always want to show support for local businesses. They ignored them and never came to ask if they needed anything while people that came after got treated with care. One thing that stood out with my son is when the lady brought the bill he gave her the cash she then said, Tip!!!! He told her I always leave tip when I am done, which they weren't. We had struggled to post or not, but the way we raised our son, right is right and wrong is wrong. We will no longer be giving them our business. Just wanted others to know.
