So i am writing this review soley based on the food. Everytime I get either number 69 which is vermicelli noodles with beef and egg roll. It is honesty the best one i have every had. The egg rolls are always amazing , the in house fish sauce is so savory! Everything is fresh, light and has sweetness , you can never go wrong. They are also so kind when it comes to service. I love places that don't upcharge on to go orders! It is nice place i share a time with my sister, no loud tv no nothing ,just nice food and sweet times. The staff is attentive, but the restaurant is nondescript. We arrived just before the lunch crowd. Door dashers were abundant, too, so this restaurant definitely has a loyal customer base. The presentation of my grilled chicken, shrimp wrap, and egg roll on vermicelli was beautiful, but the dish overall lacked flavor. Even after the second serving of nuoc mam and lots more chili sauce, I asked for ớt hiểm (fresh chili), hoping that was what was missing in the flavor profile. Sadly, the restaurant doesn't have any. Vietnamese restaurants in La Mirada and La Habra do though. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish, so I'll order the pho next time. read more

Really yummy local spot! I had the #3 pho and I thought it was really good, the beef was very tender! The service was quick, and the staff was so nice and friendly. I felt like the prices were comparable to other pho spots, and it's only $1 more to make the pho bowl from a regular to a large. The thai tea was also really good. I've only experienced their take out food option and have yet to sit inside the restaurant, but it's such an easy process to either order online or call in to order. You can go wrong with ordering any of their many pho soups but my go to is the brisket pho. This was my first time trying their beef spring rolls and it was worth it! Definitely recommend trying them out! I posted the receipt as the yelp photos are pretty old essentially all the pho items are roughly the same price of $15. So glad to have a legit Vietnamese restaurant close by. There's just something about a good bowl of pho that lifts you up. My boyfriend and I came here after a rather busy day of moving and decided to sit down for pho. Pho is like albóndigas for me which means it's nice and comforting. I have yet to try other dishes on the menu but I'm looking forward to more. The prices are fairly average and the portions are good. There is a small private parking lot but lots of street parking. A half block off of Whittier Blvd and a bit hidden from view is a small strip mall of mom and pops like Pho Saigon, one of the few Vietnamese restaurants operating in the area. Luckily, it's quite good. The menu is an interesting combination of items of SE Asian basics (pho, vermicelli bowls, pad thai) as well as traditional items (they serve broken rice dishes!) The crispy squid is fantastic. Calamari gets fried in a light batter and tossed in a flavorful fish sauce vinaigrette and sliced jalapeños on a bed of lettuce (presumably to protect the container) which turns wilted and yummy in that warm sauce! The house special broken rice com tam is excellent and includes very good versions of cold shredded pork, pork egg loaf with wood ear mushrooms, grilled sugar cane shrimp, and other yumminess. Chicken chow fun was also great with plenty of fresh sauteed veggies and big hunks of chicken in a great sauce of unmistakably Vietnamese flavors. Fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork were a bit of a miss for us with fresh shrimp but uninteresting sliced pork and finely shredded iceberg served with a blah dipping sauce. The wrappers were also a bit hard, which may be a sign that they were not made to order. We'll skip this next time. Anyway, overall, this place is a totally pleasant surprise to me in an area mostly lacking this kind of food. They do brisk takeout here so they're well set up to handle to go orders quickly and efficiently. I will be back! read more
