You order at the counter and pick up once your beeper buzzes. I ordered a jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle) and tangsyuyuk (fried pork) to share with my sister. The portion makes sense with the price. I must say the best experience is to eat there while the food is piping hot. Mr. Paik hands down the best jjajjangmyun and tangsyuyuk that I had... the texture, sauce and everything was just perfect. They had other items that I want to try next step, like the stir fried jjampong! Reviews on their seafood jjampong didn't seem too popular, but ordered one to go to try and it was good too!!! Whenever I'm craving pho, and I don't feel like spending $15+, I always come here since the bowls are a few dollars cheaper. I think they give a little bit less beef, but it's perfect amt for me, and if you want more, it's $5 for an extra serving. Portion is very good for the price, especially in today's economy, where hole in the wall restaurants are trying to charge $18-20 for below avg food. Perhaps it's due to it being portioned extremely small amount of sauce where most of noodles looked naked. It also lacked the signature crushed ice bath in the sauce that adds the cooling effect to the spicy taste. No such ice nor good sauce to make it the experience in warm summer. As I was about to place my order at the kiosk, an employee informed me that only takeout orders were being accepted and that dine-in was no longer available. I was told this was due to a policy change from management. What I don't understand is that there was no notice posted anywhere about a dine-in cutoff time. Maybe this is normal for this restaurant, but it is not what most customers would expect. When a restaurant posts a break time of 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, most people assume that orders are accepted until 2:00 PM and that the break time begins at 2:00 PM. That has been my experience at most other restaurants. If dine-in service actually stops at 1:45 PM, then that information should be clearly posted at the entrance, on the kiosk, and online. Otherwise, customers may arrive before the posted break time and still be turned away for dine-in service. In my opinion, if customers need to finish their meals before 2:00 PM, then the restaurant should either post a dine-in cutoff time or list an earlier break time. Other restaurants with a 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM break time typically allow customers to enter and order before 2:00 PM. This appears to be an exception. I made a special trip to eat here and was disappointed by the lack of communication. Going forward, customers should know that a posted break time of 2:00 PM here may effectively mean you need to arrive early enough to finish your meal before 2:00 PM, not simply arrive before 2:00 PM. Because of this experience, I will think twice before returning during lunch hours.
