But some attention to details needed: there was tv ready to be mounted lying on floor in quite prominent place, paper numbers glued to tables in a little messy way, toiled was opened for some time during some its cleaning or repairs, etc. Waiters were ok, quiet but efficient. I normally am not a huge fan of Pho, but I happened to be next door so I stopped in. The parking kind of sucks, so I would park in the 10min parking and take it to go. I got the shrimp pho and it was tasty. I love spicy food so it was good to me, but if you don't, you should ask them not to put jalapenos in it! Would def go here again. read more

I can't say it's my favorite, but considering my favorite pho place is all the way in San Diego, I gotta give this place full points. :) It's definitely not overly sweet, but it is more sweet than spice-y (not a very strong spice flavor in the soup). Solid pho that comes out quick with great portions for the price. The ingredients all taste fresh (something that you worry about when the food comes out so quick and for so cheap). It was just ok. I'm not sure what makes a pho place 4.5 stars but it looks to me like the meatballs. I had a standard bowl of pho soup and the iced coffee and they were both about the same as I've tasted at every other pho restaurant. I don't know about other people's experience but when I went up to pay the cashier she verbally confirmed a few items I ordered and told me the amount of the total bill. I said ok, and paid by credit. I got a receipt but it was of the total amount. If you have a large party, there is no way to confirm if the bill is correct. The pho broth is average. Although this establishment is in a nice location the RUDE STAFF does need major work. I waited to write this review because I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Management will more than likely ignore this review. But I feel it was my duty to warn others and possible help prevent identity theft Today 11/19/16 was my 3rd visit to this pho resturant. My 1st visit was about a month ago. I'd always see the resturant driving to and from the 24 hour fitness I frequent. So I decided to stop in for lunch and have some pho. It wasn't crowded so the food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the pho tai. It was good. Now comes the weird encounter. I approached to pay I presented my visa debit/credit card. I informed the cashier I was paying via credit card. I always select this option because I do not feel safe punching in my PIN number especially with some of these 3rd party card readers some places use. It's not safe and I highly recommend paying attention to this when dining our or on your weekly purchases from Walmart. Card skimming is a multi million dollar illegal operation and identify theft is NO JOKE. Always I tell her I'm paying by credit card and she asks me to key in my pin. The look I gave her wasn't the best in hindsight but I restated, I do not want to key in my pin I have that option. I'm using my card as credit." She looks at me and says "we don't take credit. We take debit" and she point to the debit word on my card. I stated again yes it say debit but it's also a credit card. It's both. So she runs it and the reader says some error. Mind you there is nothing wrong with my card. I used it prior to going to the pho spot. She then unplugs the card reader and restarts it. Same result. Now people it's 2016; technology has evolved and still is. How the Fu*k doesn't your card reader take credit card? Luckily for them I had $10 on me and paid cash. STRIKE 1 My 2nd visit about 2 weeks later I decided to grab some pho for dinner. It was probably around 7:30/8pm. I walk in. They ask how many? I say oh it just me. They try to sit me at these high boy tables right in front of the door. Not the greatest location and also hey had the door open and a crisp breeze was coming in. I polity declined and choose the booth. The same lady that ran my card tries to say the booth is for a larger group. So I look around the resturant including myself there was about 6 pple in there. There was so many empty seats. After I looked around the resturant --as to say, who's coming in to eat?-- I sat down at the booth and waited for my Order to be taken. This time I ordered Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup). After I finished I paid cash but did not leave a tip. STRIKE 2 On to today as I sit right in front of Pho Avenue writing this. I was so upset I wanted to write this while it's fresh. So I walk in again more seats open than occupied. I look around the booth were taken but I saw the football game was playing on the TV so I go and sit at a table that had 4 chairs. It wasn't a huge table. Realistically it's a table for 2 but they crammed 4 chairs in. So I sit there and this Asian lady with glasses walks over and says how many? I say it just me. She then tries to tell me to move over to this smaller table and says this is for reservations. I look at her like she's from another planet. So I look around the resturant again and said whose coming it's empty. She then come back with this table is for a larger group. So I say again who's coming? There is no one here and I say seated. She mumbles something and walks off. I sit there watching the game and a few mins later she comes back and ask am I ready to order. I told her I'd need a few mins so she walks of again. I open the menu but I'm completely turned off at this point. She comes back and says are you ready to order. I look at her and ask, why was it an issue for me seating here? She says oh this is for bigger parties. So I say but no one is here. She then tries to cut me off and say " ok you just order". So I close the menu and say I don't want to eat here and I'll be writing a review. DAMMIT STRIKE 3 Keep in mind I've been sitting here for the past 25 mins writing this review and I maybe seen 3 pple go in and about 6-10 leave. Oh yea I'm an African American male. Save your money and identity by not going here. That card reader only taking debit sounds dodgy (as my Aussie friends would say) be careful where you pinch in your pin. Pho Avenue isn't immuned to being hack and all your card info & PIN being stolen. What kind of card reader are they using anyway that only takes DEBIT? I could actually be curious to see someone else go in by them-self and sit at a booth or the table for 4 and see what they say. From my 3 experiences this place is not that busy. This place is small, with nice decor. The food is great their spring rolls are amazing, the rice wrap was not tough and it is a light appetizer. The pho is also very good because the soup is very flavorful. On the night I visited it was cold outside so it was very nice getting a hot bowl of pho. I'm a vegetarian, so maybe I'm not the person to ask to rate a pho place, but they make the best veggie pho I've had in years. Broth was actually tasty, not just water with salt and cabbage in it, and there were tofu, tofu skin, some other sliced soy thing, and some veggies as well as the noodles. Good fried crunchy spring rolls, right out of the fryer, and they also make the soft kind. There were also half a dozen other veggie dishes. My wife eats meat, and while there wasn't as extensive a set of meat choices as some places, it was pretty reasonable, and she liked the broth. She got the one with flank steak and a couple other things, which the waiter recommended as the one with the most fat, since she's not a fan of lean meat in pho. It had the vermicelli-shaped noodles rather than the wider chow fun shape; not sure which is more traditional. Both of us got small, which was plenty large even for me, and it came with enough basil, peppers, lime, and bean sprouts. The menu also had noodle plates, rice plates, half a dozen choices of grilled meats plates, some more appetizers, reasonable collection of drinks. Good luck to them in this location - most of the restaurants there haven't lasted that long, probably because it's a bit awkward to get into the driveway and there's not much walkup traffic from the nearby stores. new place in a corner strip mall that has never been crowded despite all the busy businesses around the area. standard pho with fresh ingredients. a bit on the sweeter side, darker broth--maybe already a bit more hoisin in there. the vermicelli bowl with thit nuong not like the usual grilled strips. made with the wide slices and the nuoc mau was kinda weak. needs a lot of additional fish sauce to be added to mix in the bowl too. more competition is better since all the gold standard ones are more south! read more

No customer service at all. Did not expect any. Worst bowl of Pho, I ever had. Too much OIL!!!! I feel sick the whole day. I will never comeback. For a while, I had stopped eating Veggie pho because when I thought of veggie pho, i thought weak veggie broth, some bok choy, maybe a couple of small pieces of tofu and cabbage. Pho Avenue got me interested in eating Pho again despite only eating Veggie Pho. Their broth is super tasty and comes with sprouts, cabbage, bok choy, generous filets of Tofu and mushrooms (I know, I haven't seen this in a while).
