SN1) Mi Xao Don hoac Mem - Combination Fried or Soft Egg Noodles
    Emma N.

This place was great! We ordered take out from here the other evening. I placed my order on the phone without any complications. The restaurant seemed nice when I went to pick up the food too. Everyone was really friendly. We ordered the Hoanh Thanh Chien - Crispy Pork Wontons (A6) which were good. The sauce was yummy, but I might try a different appetizer next time. I also ordered the chicken pho (P1) which was really delicious. It came with the sauces on the side, so once you add them in, the broth is even better! My husband ordered Mi Xao Don hoac Mem - Combination Fried or Soft Egg Noodles (SN1) with fried noodles. It was really good! The flavor was incredible! I'd never had this dish before and would definitely recommend it! A great experience. I look forward to eating here again soon.

Neighborhood spot that I love going to! The pho is amazing. I always get the oxtail pho and it doesn't disappoint! Lots of tables to choose your own seat. Fast, quick service! My kids love the boba too!

Recently I tried Pho Avina after seeing a raving review on a FB page I am part of. I got it to go. I ordered two Pho Tai, two orders of pork egg rolls and one order of short ribs. The egg rolls were delicious..the short ribs had good flavor but a LOT of oil/grease and a lot of fatty pieces instead of good meat. The Pho without adding sauces was just ok. I wouldn't rave about the flavors. Once I added the oyster sauce and the spicy sauce, it improved a little. I also added the lemon but prefer lime with my pho. I also got a mango pineapple boba smoothie. Now this I would be back for by itself. Delicious! The main reason I docked a star was because the meat they gave me was raw. This isnt necessarily bad as usually pho has thinly sliced meat placed in the bowl and then the boiling hot water poured over it, and the noodles, thus cooking the meat, but what bothered me more was the fact that the bag they put it in did not seal shut and so the blood from the meat got over all of the utensils and everything else in the bag, thus rendering all of the rest of the items unusable. (See pictures) I might try this location again if I were to go eat in the restaurant but probably won't get to go again.

P2. Pho Tai / Eye Round

A great place to get some inexpensive pho. I got the Pho Tai dinner sized, and I was surprised when this huge bowl was served to me. The pho was okay, there was nothing that really made it stand out, but it definitely has great value that would make me come back again. I have not tried their other menu items, like the drinks. The waitress was extremely nice and worked fast between all the tables that she had.

I've been here many times (probably over 20) in the course of 2 years- any every time without fail, I enjoy myself here. I've gone with a group of 8 people, 3 people, 2 people, and by myself and every time is enjoyable. The service is great- always bring water and offer the menu. There is a man and woman there who run the restaurant and they eventually remember your face and what you order (if you are a regular) which is nice. Multiple times, I would go with my aunt and as of recently she had not been coming along and the woman there would ask about my aunt and where she was- it's the small things like this that makes a restaurant feel inviting and homey. This restaurant is like going home for a meal. The place itself is cozy and the service is always friendly and punctual. All dishes have been delicious. On different occasions, I have gotten the beef pho, chicken pho, meatball pho, shrimp pho, fresh shrimp spring roll, fresh veggie spring roll, and various vermicelli noodle dishes and each have been satisfying and delicious. When I feel like a sweet treat, I will order the Vietnamese coffee or shaved ice dish with sweet toppings like chocolate sauce, etc. They also serve boba drinks and smoothies. As most Vietnamese restaurants are popular for their pho, I will say that this restaurant has delicious pho. The broth is rich and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Whatever meat is added is always fresh and perfectly cooked. They will give you a small dish with toppings before the soup comes out. There are two sizes for pho- lunch and dinner. I usually get the lunch size because the dinner portion is huge!! All that to say, this is easily one of my favorite go-to restaurants.

Came here for try the desserts! Pho Avina's fruit shaved snow is incredible. We were quickly seated at one of the dozens of tables by staff. They were efficient in taking orders and quick to bring out the desserts. We ordered taro, coconut, and mango flavors which were perfect for sharing amongst 6 people. Would definitely get this again!

Came here for a girls night and it was great! Pho was tasty and I also got the vegetarian spring rolls which were delicious and fresh. Family restaurant and the energy was great! Welcoming service from the employees that leans on that family atmosphere.

Pho combo flank steak and shrimp

The service was great! They were very welcoming and kind and served our food quick! I ordered the pho combo flank steak and shrimp. It was alright, not bad but the broth tasted a little old and not fresh. Don't get me wrong I still ate it but I wouldnt go back for the pho. I would love to try their other dishes though. Again, the service was great :) the price was great especially for the portion!

Altho seem empty at times, the place was spacious for any busy day/ night. Most customers came for their boba but not knowing their Oxtail Pho and service was a hidden gem ! Super tender and Yummy soup, as well as a variety of under $6 BahMi sandwich. Would definitely help if their top/ favorite menu was posted with pictures on their ordering register. But service was super attentive and kind, food was gr8 and will definitely recommend the visit anytime! Please try Pho will definitely broaden your taste pallet and crave for vietnamese broth and rice noodle for life Ox Tail Pho

You walk in get seated. Then that is really the last time you talk to someone. You scan the menu and order from your phone. I think this cuts out any confusion. You then have someone bring your food and drinks to your table. They do walk around and offer your more broth as there is a lot of food in those bowls. And when you add the dry noodles you need more broth. I think that is cool. They do drop off the check midway through. It does get busy around 7pm we got there just before 6 so got in no problem.

When we got a table, we ordered using the QR code. It took a bit of time for our food and drinks to come. But the spot was pretty busy. Only saw the server when they brought our drink and our food, and when we ordered additional drinks. This is not like the typically hot pot spots where they bring you the broth and meats/veggies separately to cook yourself. You pick a "soup" premade and it comes to your table in a hot clay pot. It's a bit heavier broth. Definitely not what my taste buds enjoy. However my husband liked it. I don't think I'll dine here again only because I prefer the cook myself experience, simple ingredients, and lighter broth.

After reviewing the menu we decided on Lemongrass chicken with vegetables, beef with vegetables, beef vermicelli, and shrimp vermicelli. Service is always fast here. I ordered the lemongrass chicken. It is pretty spicy. The flavoring was really nice with a fish sauce in it. It was probably spicier than I wanted. Think I'll go back to my noodle order next time. The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. I really hope things improve, especially for long time customers who have supported this place for years Ambience The ambience was very cute and charming. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

Parking is pretty small so parking can be a little difficult when it gets busy! Service is decent and they are very friendly but could be more attentive. There is even a lunch special menu Mon-Fri 11-2:30pm and has a good selection of bento boxes! I've gotten their beef teriyaki bento box and it came with rice, salad, 2 piece California rolls, and 2 pc fried gyozas. Pricing is $13-20 The beef teriyaki is pretty tender, flavorful, and not too salty. The salad is underwhelming and didn't have fresh greens. The fried gyozas were decent, nothing special. The California rolls were ok, not bad. I would say it's 7/10. The bibimbap was very fresh and delicious but a little pricey ($18.95). The bulgogi was marinated very well and rice was super crispy inside the hot stone bowl. Seafood tofu soup was pretty good and not too overly salty. It was very flavorful and the tofu was very soft. I would say it's 8/10 Would definitely recommend and return

The menu doesn't say you can't do that anywhere. Not on the board, not in fine print, nowhere. Instead of just making the order, I was told "you can't do that." No explanation. No logic. Nothing. I asked for the manager, and Zana wandered over. She had no clue what the policy even was. She had to stare at the menu board, then ask a coworker, just to come back and tell me no again, still with zero reasoning. Then she hit me with the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard in a restaurant: it's "implied" that you shouldn't order two soups. Implied? By who? Because it sure wasn't implied to me, and it definitely wasn't written anywhere. Instead of owning the mistake or providing a real answer, she got visibly aggressive the second she was challenged, like I asked her to solve rocket science instead of a lunch order. When I asked for her District Manager to contact me, she took my name and number, but not before throwing out this gem: "Do you go to Panera Bread and do this too?" Yes, actually. And unlike Café Zupas, Panera doesn't whine about it. They encourage it. I left Café Zupas and went straight to Panera for a stress-free lunch. I even kept the receipt so Café Zupas can see how a real company handles customers. Bottom line: the menu is misleading, the manager has no command of the policies, and the attitude was downright unacceptable. If this is how Café Zupas chooses to treat paying customers over something this small, it says everything I need to know. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere.
