First off - the current restaurant at this location - Pho Banh MI 89 - IS NOT owned, managed, or affiliated by the owners/managers of the previous Pho restaurant - Viet Flavor. I know - because I asked the restaurant staff when I recently visited in person for some Pho. Why is this important? Because, for some reason - the previous business listing under the "Viet Flavor" name - was simply updated/changed on Yelp to "Pho Banh MI 89" - and of course this keeps all the reviews that were under the the Viet Flavor name. What should have occurred - is that the Viet Flavor business listing is "Closed," and a new business listing created for "Pho Banh MI 89." Until that happens - I have no way to post a review except for here. I visited recently to sample the Pho Ga. The Pho Ga was expensive - I paid around $17 and change for a bowl - seemed a little high. I also ordered the Summer Rolls - which were pretty standard quality-wise. The Pho Ga chicken broth is a bit light for my palate. I'd like to see more depth of flavor and complexity to the chicken broth. As usual, after tasting the broth - I added all the accoutrements: Fresh Basil, lime juice, Jalapeños, and Bean Sprouts. Noodles were not clumped; broth was steaming. Decent bowl of Pho Ga - but not outstanding. The inside of the place was totally gutted during the transition to the new business. Bright, clean, lots of seating. Service was good. Quality of food is questionable. It appears they were ladling broth from a Home Depot bucket. Order was incorrect. Takeout did not include a spoon. Drive to the next shopping center and go to Pho Sapa, the customer service, portions and food is much better. read more

Disappointed by my fellow yelpers giving this place 5 stars as it's not the best bowl of pho or bowl of bun I've had. I inquired about their bread for their banh mi and upon their answer, did not order it. The pho broth was lacking in depth of flavors and the noodles had a strange consistency. The shrimp in my bun was not grilled as the menu said it would be and the ratio of noodles to veggies was half and half. Too much noodles...there goes my blood glucose levels. I also questioned the freshness of ingredients by the sad look bean sprouts. It was good and edible but I will not be coming back. I'll make the drive to Eden Center instead. read more

We stopped in for carryout to bring home for the family.... We ordered three Phở gà and an extra small broth. Fortunately they wrapped each in a plastic bag as well as put them in those pint and quart containers with a snap-on lid, because the small (extra broth) leaked considerably and half the broth was in the bag. When ordering they told me they only make beef broth, not chicken broth, so the broth was darker than the typical Phở gà chicken broth. The flavor was rich and really good. The star anise was noticeable, but not over-powering. They forgot (or simply didn't provide) the jalapeño slices with the accouterment, but they did provide little cups of siracha. The other issue with the carry out was that they mixed the chicken with the broth and gave the noodles and other items separately. We order carry-out pho often and we've never gotten it this way, but it turned out fine. The chicken was shredded, versus sliced. Overall, the family loved it, the flavors were great, despite the mishaps of their ability to provide reliable carryout. read more

I wish I could give this a zero rating!! Our orders arrived to the table cold. Taste of the food for my spouse and I was average. The fried rice was salty. When asked to return the fried rice the Manager came to our table and told us we were liars. Told us we can't tell her the food was salty because she knows it's good. This place is a pass from jump. Walked in for a to go order of lemongrass chicken banh mi and a salty lemonade. The menu has items scribbled out and price changes throughout. It looks like a rough draft, not what a customer should order from. No salty lemonade, I order a regular one. Salty lemonade is my term, I think it's just salt lemon drink. I place my order and walk over to cvs. I meander through there and head back over; figuring it won't be long. I have seen that shop in Eden center sling banh mi so that's my time reference. So I wait And wait And wait. While waiting I peep the true lemon jar that made my lemonade and guess what's folk, it was not good. Not the least bit quenching while I was trying to eat my not lemongrass BEEF banh mi. I was too far from there to turn around and the best thing I can do is not return and post this review. I have had lots of pho from many different places and the pho tai from here is absolutely delicious! The broth on its own smells heavenly and tastes so good. That's how you know it's a good pho. This will be my new place for pho. read more

This is spot is under new ownership. Don't get it confused due to the reviews going back years. Freshly renovated and bright. The new owners shared they've been open a few months now. My son and I ate there last week. Had the REAL Vietnamese rice paper rolls w/shrimp, pork and crab meat. Delicious! If you've never tried, do yourself a favor and try it. We each had pho and soup was good. Service was excellent, attentive and super informative. Took the wifey to lunch today. Ordered the Vietnamese rice paper rolls to start. She had the seafood w/crispy egg noodles. Fantastic! Noodles were amazingly crunchy but still absorbed all the delicious sauce. Even cut the squid cross sections like my mom's . I had the bun (Vietnamese vermicelli) w/grilled pork and mum sauce. Everything was on point. Go and give these folks a visit, well worth it. They're super friendly and kind. First off, I'm perturbed because I ordered through Yelp/GrubHub and picked up my food. Everything went well until I got home and realized they didn't give us the 2 orders of spring rolls we ordered. It's hard to know when you pick up a giant, tied-off bag and assume it has everything you need, only to be disappointed when you get home and don't have items you paid for. The pho itself was tasty, but it didn't seem they offered as much sauce as typical; they did have plenty of peppers/sprouts/mint/etc. I also wouldn't have classified it as great by any means. What a big disappointment! I had placed a big order for dinner for pick up two days ago. Went over the orders twice and they still messed it up. I ordered one dish without onions because of sensitive to it and it came with a spoonful on it. The meat was tough and not tender, both pork and beef. And I even included a big tip with the orders. TL;DR: Friendly service, good food Came in here on a Sunday afternoon at an off time, so it wasn't too busy. Several tables still full and eating. The service was very nice, attentive, and friendly! They were just great! The pho was pretty good. Good enough for if I ever have a hankering for it. It will definitely fulfill my cravings. I had the opportunity to try a few things here yesterday. Their setup is for takeout only now due to covid and they wore masks and have spaces for you to sanitize your hands. I appreciated that in this time. We tried the chicken fried rice which was pretty good and seasoned well and we also tried the chicken pho. The chicken was kind of tough but it was a decent bowl to go. They wrap up everything separately so that the pho is fresh when you eat it. The best thing that we tried was their Vietnamese wings.
