Sweetest little man seemed to run the store and did mostly carry out. New owners I believe, I inquired about a kids menu and the owner said they needed to make one for kids, Currently a small pho bowl will run you $14.50, that's too high for a kids meal IMO. I was finally able to stop by and give this place a try. The place looked clean and spacious. Utensils looked clean and shiny. I was able to catch the lunch special, which was a bowl of pho, spring roll or garden roll and a soda for $10. I got the pho tai which was just the plain steak meat, I did not smell or tasted the aroma of pho. The soup was not as hot and the pho noodle was chewy, but that's personal preference. I could have let it sit there and the noodles would have expanded. But the soup wasn't hot enough to do that. Spring roll was good and crispy but they didn't give out any lettuce to wrap the spring roll. Guess I'm asking for too much, but a spring roll on a plain plate doesn't look appetizing, but it is the lunch special. The soda that they brought out was from a soda fountain, no flavor or carbon left. The soda was flat, blah... I was hoping that they were serving sodas out of a can, so keep that in mind. I also ordered their fried wings for my appetizer, only a few pieces were crispy, the rest were soggy and I hate soggy wings. The sauce was drizzled with nuoc mam which is fish sauce, which tasted pretty good but not with soggy wings. Over all I think it's alright, the fact that they are the second viet restaurant around the area, they will be alright. If you want pho just go down the street where Red robin is located and there is a pho restaurant there that makes it better. I will definitely come back for their rice dishes. read more

Increased prices, reduced portion size, ice water = $1.50 bottle of water I didn't request. I'm so disappointed in Viet Flavor with the reduced service. I paid $26 for Pho, Fresh Garden Rolls and bottled water served on paper plates and a plastic throw away bowl! I will drive to Manassas for my next Pho fix and get far better service, an appropriate soup portion and free ice water. There were 3 paying customers in the restaurant and 3 employees at 1230pm on a Friday afternoon, it's clear to me Viet Flavor has sacrificed customer service for an increased bottom line. Please call ahead. I was there for 45 minutes. Received terrible customer service. No procedure, no communication. The lady there that is handling the food is also handling the money while speaking to her husband on speaker. She was completely not focus on taking care of the customers.she forgot what I ordered and she didn't manage other customers payments and orders accurately. Tried this place because a student recommended their veggie pho. Their Vegetarian Pho was a huge disappointment. My bowl came out with one small piece of broccoli. Before I ordered, I asked if broccoli/tofu were included and was told yes. Asked the server if I could have the broccoli that was supposed to be included and he brought out a small side dish of broccoli. Bill came and was charged extra for a Side of Broccoli Mix. When I brought it to the server's attention, he said he was told by the owner's sister to charge me extra. False advertising. Please add note to your menu; broccoli not included. Our family was not impressed with the food here. We ordered the pho and chicken fried rice. I consider myself an expert on pho and I've probably had a milllion bowls of it in my lifetime but the pho here seemed to have a unusual aftertaste, and not enough hoisin or hot sauce could fix it for me unfortunately. Finally Viet Flavo is open! First off, I love how they have good selection of vegetarian options. I got to try their vegetarian pho ($7.95) & the egg noodle soup w/wonton & roast pork ($8.95). Both were amazing! In the veggie pho was a lot of fresh veggies like bell pepper, culliflower, & carrots. My fave of the two so far is the egg noodle soup. The broth had a real nice flavor & the noodles were perfect. I am excited to try more off their menu. The service is excellent too. There seemed to be a lot of employees ready to help you. They were very polite offering me water when I took my order to go. When I aske for extra hoison sauce for my pho they gave me plenty without any attitude. So all in all. I love Viet Flavor. We've been to the other two Vietnamese joins in Gainesville and decide to drive down and try this one. We ordered the papaya salad as an appetizer and were very impressed with the way it looked. The taste was awesome. We next ordered the vegetarian Pho and the clay pot rice with seafood. My wife outright declared this to be the best vegetarian Pho. The clay pot rice was very unique, steaming hot and very delicious. The manager walked by seeing I was adding the hot sauce. He recommended I try the Vietnamese sliced peppers but I don't have the guts. The owner stopped by to make sure everything good. She explained how each of the veggie items were prepared including the fish oil alternative. Amazing people, great food. Will back for sure! My husband and I have been looking for an amazing pho place that is local, and after reading the reviews, we decided to try this one. We came here a few weeks ago and were greeted by a very nice hostess and beautiful decor. The menu was easy to understand and the waitress very knowledgable with the specials and ingredients. The pho was amazing and definitely worth another trip for. The spring rolls, summer rolls and wontons were suberb. All in all, the meal was definitely worthwhile and if you go at lunch you get a great price with a full stomach. We went back today and decided to order different appetizers and one of the rice vermicelli dishes with the beef, pork and shrimp. The chicken wings had an "interesting" batter for lack of a better word, and if you can make it past the texture, the taste is pretty good (almost like a sweet soy sauce and fish sauce mixed together). The calamari was decent with a sweet dipping sauce. The rolls and wontons were still great (though the wontons were shaped differently than the last time we had them and only contained half the amount of filling). The Vermicelli Flavor dish was good and the flavor of the beef and pork were wonderful. The meat was very tender and the veggies crisp and fresh. It also came with a crispy spring roll. The service wasn't as outstanding as last time, but it wasn't horrible either. The staff always seem polite and wanting to please. We're going to attempt our next trip with kids in tow and see how that goes. read more

This place was kind of a disappointment but was ok I guess since its out in Bristow VA. First off, its kinda pricey for a normal bowl of pho, and the flavors compared to other places in Manassas and Falls Church VA came up short. Yes broth was clear and light but not that flavorful. Service was ok but was lacking... Not sure what happened, but my nieces bowl of Pho Tai came out like 30 mins after everyone else's food... which is kind of strange since almost all Pho places I've been to, the pho is usually out in 8 mins or less after ordering and sometimes out in less than 5 mins. Oh btw ... dont request extra anything.... they will charge you for it! I asked for extra limes and when it came time for the bill, there was a charge for the extra limes on my check and also a charge for to go containers! Like seriously never been to a pho spot that will charge you extra for that stuff.. So will I come here again??? hummmmmmmmm maybe not ... but for those that are located and Bristow and have a Pho craving??? I would say go the extra few miles and hit the places in Manassas, you will like it much more. read more

While exploring the area around our new home, my fiancé and I decided to stop here for lunch. My fiancé absolutely loves pho--it's his favorite food. So of course he wanted to try this place out. I really enjoyed our meal here. All of the people working there were so nice. We were seated right away, and someone came to see us and take our drink orders as soon as we sat down. Our food came pretty quickly. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. Our food was great! We both decided to do something different from our usual orders during our visit, and it was a great decision. I ordered the green papaya salad, which was so delicious! I enjoyed it so much and ate every bite of it. My fiancé decided to do something different from his usual order of pho, so he went with some vermicelli this time. He really enjoyed his food as well. This restaurant has excellent service. One man in particular was extremely welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere is enjoyable. It's very classy, unlike most traditional pho restaurants, which made me suspect the food wouldn't be as authentic as I am used to. Unfortunately, my suspicion was true. Maybe it wasn't unauthentic necessarily, but the broth (a hugely important aspect of the soup, in my opinion) was pretty bland. The rest of the soup was good but the broth can make or break a bowl of pho, and for me, the restaurant in general. Sadly I will probably only come back out of convenience when I'm in the area. Viet Flavor is NOT a bad restaurant. If you need a quick fix for your pho craving, this place will be just fine. Overall, my experience was very enjoyable, which is why I only deducted one star. This is a great location for Pho! I had my favorite, Pho Ga, but I got it to go because I wasn't hungry at the time. Even eating it at home later, it was great. We usually order take out from Pho Saigon, but Viet Flavor is right down the street and our whole family was sick and needed that pho cure fast. It was slightly more expensive but the convenience made up for it. When we got home and opened our food I noticed the broth was very light in color and only filled 3/4 of the container. The restaurant is in one corner of the shopping center adjacent to a TexMex place and a burger joint. On a whim, we decided to drop in for lunch. WHAT A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. Having eaten in several pho "palaces" in the Bristow area, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly greeting, seating was perfect. The are not a big, overpriced restaurant. We tried the grilled dishes and found both the shrimp and the pork to be cooked and seasoned properly, with sides of rice and salad. The pepper sauce is extremely HOT, but the brown sauce is mild and flavorful. We have already decided to return in a couple of weeks to try some of the other dishes. I've been a customer for several years, no more! We went for lunch, no customers or take-out activity. A grouchy old man was the only person we saw and he was the whole staff. One word sentences were the extent of our communication with him. We asked for a glass of water and got bottled water and a ceramic mug. Spring rolls were served on paper plates and sauce was in a take-out container. The main course was served in a take-out tray and the sauces were in individual take out containers. OMG The pho is to die for!!! I love pho and decided to try Viet Flavor. Boy am I glad I did!!! The service was great, place was clean and the menu options are out of this world!!! So many choices and only one belly!!! The summer rolls were yummy. They have a great lunch deal for under $9. Pho and summer roll!!! I got the veggie pho and was impressed. This is the first time I have seen veggie as I usually get the Tai Chin (I think I spelled it right).... My hubby got the Tai Chin and loved the broth and meat. I am addicted to the veggie pho as I usually don't eat all the meat. I have definitely found another wonderful Pho place.
