Rice plate with the salt bomb soup and cold veggies.
    Marcos S.

I have no idea how this place is a 4.4 stars. I ordered the rice plate with chicken and prawns and spring rolls. The veggies were literally cold like someone forgot to turn on the microwave past 30 seconds. At least they were crispy. The rice was lukewarm, which was hard to mess up. The chicken was OK but again just warm and the shrimp was rubbery. We tried to drink a small bowl of soup that came with it, but neither of us could actually get it down because it was so salty. It tasted like someone spilled half of a salt container into it. Which is incredibly disappointed given that PHO is the real reason I love Vietnamese food. My wife got the BUN, which was marginally better at least edible although a bit on the greasy side. This probably doesn't even deserve the two stars. I'm giving it. Restaurant is weird because there was a radio playing Mexican music than Christmas music playing over the speakers Nickelodeon on one of the screens and some strange Christmas display on the other screen. It was a bizarre experience and they would never recommend.

Vietnamese chow mein with chicken and shrimp.

I had the Vietnamese chow mein with chicken and shrimp. I've never had this dish before. Unlike a Chinese restaurant chow mein is typically oily but not here. The Vietnamese style more of a broth and not greasy. It's not served in a bowl with broth but on a plate where you can see evidence that broth was used in preparation. There are plenty of vegetables. I would consider it healthier than Chinese counterpart. I love Chinese chow mein but this is a healthier alternative. The server never came by the table after taking our order and bringing it to the table. The ambiance is a cozy atmosphere.

My fiancé had pho with steak on the side. Broth wasn't as flavorful even after putting his sauces. But he did finished it cause he was hungry. I was craving for some Bun Bo Hue and this place had it. I asked for extra spicy but of course you can add more with their chili oil. I instantly tasted their broth before adding anything and it had the kick that it needs and most of all the flavor was good.

We come here at least once a week! Service is amazing and staff is so kind. My go to is the vermicelli bowl but you can't go wrong with the pho either!

The food was good and the service too! The breaded fried shrimp tasted like it was from a Costco package thawed and then fried. The restaurant itself has a good vibe and the location is in a safe place. I wish the place could have better ventilation because it gets crazy hot inside.

Conveniently located next to the Trader Joe's with ample parking, love coming here to grab a quick bite before or after. I usually get the beef stew which was really flavorful and the shrimp rolls which are good but could be better but they skimp on the shrimp a bit and the beef as well. I wish the bar seats weren't so wobbly, but I love that they have a bar area with wine and beer on tap. Overall love the service and the ambience

Hidden gem in Lafayette - highly recommend the vermicelli and Thai iced tea. Little bit pricey but worth it . Lots of flavor!!

Be aware of 3.5% credit card fee (which used to be illegal in California). Overall, it's overpriced for their food or the service.

There is a lot of parking since it is in the Safeway shopping center in Downton PH. We were sat right away and looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes felt more modern than traditional (when I compare it to other Vietnamese restaurants I go to). Decided to go with my comfort dish, which is Grilled Pork Rice Plate. Grilled Pork Rice Plate: I opted for brown rice for a healthier approach. The pork was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was also not dry and had a good amount of flavor to it. It sat on a bed of lettuce, which gave it a nice presentation. Overall, a simple dish which I thoroughly enjoyed and had leftovers after. I had a great time eating lunch with my parents and my partner. I look forward to coming here again.

The quality of the meats in the pho…read morewas noticeably higher quality than a lot of pho we've had, which justifies some of its higher price points. Thai tea was solid. For appetizers, we tried their crispy rolls. The husband couldn't eat these because they had some shrimp in them, but more for the kids and me. Came with a side of fish sauce, and overall was pretty tasty. My son isn't too big on pho, so he tried a pork chop plate and the garlic noodles. He said both were good. He ate it all, so actions match his words there. My daughter mentioned the chicken pho she had contained a lot of chicken and she likes it that way. She also noticed the better quality of meat and bigger portions. Their special pho is an XL size and comes with the shortrib on the bone. I need to come back here very hungry to devour that or at least split that and other stuff with a friend. I've had their other beef pho, and they were good. Def good quality beef. There was a time where I wanted a certain combo without the meatballs and requested they added more of their tendon and tripe instead, but it seems they just took out the meatballs since there were just a couple pieces of tendon in there. The noodles really cooked within the broth. It was interesting since the broth didn't feel too hot as I was able to eat / drink it right away, but the noodles ended up much softer than I'd like. Casual setting here with the tables, cashier, some TV on the walls, etc.

First, parking can be a pain especially during peak hours as this place can get quite busy. With that said, there is plenty of space inside for quite a few people. The menu is straight forward offering all the regular suspects in a Pho restaurant. I went with the normal beef noodle soup and some appetizers. Both items came out super fast and I can understand why as this place is a mecca for to go orders, so quick delivery is a must. Honestly all the food was great, no complaints on my side and a happy belly afterwards. Price wise compared to portion was great too, really nothing to complain about overall. Would happily revisit soon!

Their beef pho with steak and brisket, TOP TIER. I also recommend their crispy egg rolls, pork chops, and pork vermicelli bowls. A pro tip my dad taught me whenever I eat pho is to ask for a separate bowl. And in this bowl take half your noodles (no soup) and mix it with hoi sin and sriracha. Now you have two noodles: one warmed up in soup, and another tossed in yummy spicy sauce! But seriously I've laughed, cried, everything in this joint. The workers are soooo friendly and always so speedy with bringing out your food. One time my friend ordered a small kids bowl because she wasn't that hungry and before the waiter even returned back into the kitchen the food was out! Crazy!

It's located in a small structure in front of the Atrium building in Walnut Creek. Inside is a small counter with no place to sit. They take your order and you're expected to go outside, on the other side of the store, to wait for your meal. There are a few tables and chairs outside that's ideal when the weather is good. The aroma of freshly cooked Thai tea filled the space. I ordered BBQ pork and it came out smaller than I expected but it tasted clean and fresh. It was enough to satisfy my craving. Service wasn't very fast as they cook the meat as you order that accounts for the freshness of the sandwich. I paid for extra pâté but it still wasn't enough. If you're used the the huge delicious banh mis from Story Road in San Jose, the pork bbq sandwich from here don't measure up as far as I'm concerned. They're much smaller, almost half the size. I wish the pork bbq had more flavor to it and more veggies were added. If you have a big appetite, one sandwich might not be anough.
