    Egg Fried Veggie Spring Roll
    Sandra C.

We went here for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. We were seated right away and given water. The decor is vibrant and colorful. We ordered the lunch special. I had the crab rangoons (up charge), salad, and pad Thai. The rangoons were my favorite amongst the 3. I ordered the pad Thai at a spice level 2 but would prefer a level 3 for some heat. My husband had the crispy vegetable rolls, basil chicken, and steamed rice. The basil chicken was by far the best dish out of everything. Overall, the food here is fresh, delicious and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go again!!

Nice restaurant on the main road. Tried the chicken satay, red pumpkin curry with shrimp and sautéed beef and garlic. Everything was delicious. Friendly service and casual. They have a good deal for a pre fixed lunch menu too.

Good food, quick service. My mom, brother and I decided to stop here for lunch today after taking our toddlers to Gymboree. We popped in and requested a table for 3 adults and 2 littles. They kindly sat us outside quickly and were very quick to come get our order. We all ordered the special opting to try different items. My mom got the fried egg rolls, salad and tofu eggplant. My brother and I got the spring roll and pad Thai. All the food arrived quickly, was a good size and seemed fresh. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it. I thought it was good for an informal, quick lunch.

    Short rib soup

Went here for lunch on a Monday and was so happy with the food and service! We got the hot Ginger tea and kombucha which were both delicious. The short rib soup was so flavorful and our server recommended the jalapeño vinegar to add from the condiment tray and it was a fantastic pairing. The stewed pork belly (Palo) was complex and the flavors were heavenly. We also got the crispy garlic shrimp which was light and so tasty. The mango sticky rice had crunchies on top but that added a great texture. I'm not in the area often but I can't wait to go back when I am! The service was also prompt and friendly.

Name? Had a Thai language name, foud at back of menu under Specialties. Minced chicken, herbs, and quite spicy. I requested "Thai hot."

Great vibe, food and service. Will go again when in the area. Prices are reasonable as well, given high restaurant prices these days.

To start my review, I'd rate the food a solid 4, but I have to knock them down to 3 stars. We put in a takeout order for 7 dishes at 7:15. Got there at 7:10, received a warm and friendly greeting and was told it would be a few minutes. I was shown a nearby seat and given water. Hospitality is a plus here. Unfortunately, I had to wait til almost 7:35... nothing to get upset about, just an inconvenience. Got home and found we were missing chicken satay and got pad Thai instead. Called them back and they believed we ordered the pad Thai vs satay... obviously a miscommunication... it happens. Now to the food: tasty and well-seasoned dishes; the pork belly app was good, garlic prawns excellent. Noodle dishes were good too. Yellow curry had a nice bite to it. All in all, food was good, wait time and order mixup was not so good. We'll be back, but next time we'll eat in.

This review is long overdue! The food at Amarin Thai Cuisine restaurant is absolutely delicious! Every dish is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The best and most fresh spring rolls are my favorite! My triplets love Roti Curry Dips to start off their meals. Then they follow with their favorite plates: Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and The Yellow Curry with Coconut Rice. They have HUGE appetites so they love that their portions are BIG! The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The owner, Ethan always goes above and beyond to ensure we have a positive experience Everytime!

Had lunch w/ my mom and her friend last week on Sunday. Went w/ the lunch special. I ordered Pad Thai, Papaya salad, and egg rolls. Everything was good except the egg rolls. Was a little too soggy and oil. However, the salad was really good. Pad Thai's chicken was a little tough but the rest was good.

Pad kee mao, very bland and onions were undercooked
    Jen Q.

They recently changed ownership and we wanted to give them a try since they are local. Ordered takeout got pad kee mao and Tom yum soup. Pad Kee Mao: 1/5 very disappointing. As a dish that is often eaten with beer it was lackluster and bland. When I opened the lid I immediately noticed how pale it was. Came with a few pieces of chicken, bell pepper, basil, and undercooked onions. Tom Yum Soup: 5/5 phenomenal. Best Tom yum soup I've had in a while and I eat Thai food at least twice a week. It was savory, tangy, and just the right amount of spice. Not too salty or sweet. I would come back just for this soup alone.

Our friend recommended this place to us. We love spicy food and wanted an impromptu, intimate, and fresh date night. The place is very colorful and upscale feeling, nothing drab or pretentious. The staff was super friendly and made great recommendations. We started with the Thai sausage appetizer followed by the chicken larb. We were so hungry we didn't take pictures but the larb lettuce was presented in beautiful basket. We finished with the curry beef and rice as the main. We don't usefully eat red meat but we were glad we did. It look and tasted amazing full of flavor, spicy, and not salty.

Amazing, delicious food! Last minute on Valentine's Day, we decided to go to dinner as a family. We knew it would be challenging to find a place. We went to three different restaurants that we normally go to, and as expected, they were all either full or need reservations. We needed up finding this place and decided to try it. The place is nice and clean. The customer service was exceptional. The food was flavorful. I've had Thai food before in other places but it's been awhile since I've had a really good Thai food, and this place really hit the spot. My kids also loved the food and asked if we can come back! We were really glad that the other restaurants were booked that we were able to find this place and add it to "our top restaurants" to come back again as a family.

If you love authentic, fresh, and flavorful Thai food, Amarin Thai Cuisine in Lafayette is the place to go! Under new ownership, this long-time local favorite is thriving with Ethan at the helm--one of the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant owners you'll ever meet. His passion for great food and hospitality is truly felt the moment you walk in. The restaurant has a relaxing, cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for a sit-down meal, but their takeout is just as excellent. We ordered a mix of dishes and were blown away by the quality: Fresh Veggie Spring Rolls - These are wrapped fresh daily and served with the best peanut sauce ever. Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Kai) - A flavorful, creamy, and comforting bowl that transports you to paradise. Basil Chicken (Pad Kra Pow) - Perfectly seasoned, packed with fresh ingredients, and full of bold flavors. Chicken Pumpkin Curry - A rich, creamy, slightly sweet curry that's an instant favorite. Pineapple Fried Rice - Light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. Drunken Noodles - A must-try for any noodle lover! We ordered everything at spice level 2 (out of 5), and it was just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavors. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes, especially since they also serve breakfast! If you're in the area, make sure to stop by, show some love, and say hi to Ethan! And if you're feeling adventurous, don't forget to grab some jasmine rice to soak up all that delicious curry. Highly recommend this spot--whether dining in or grabbing takeout, you won't be disappointed!

The chicken plate was VERY good, incredible taste and cooked perfectly The pad thai, solid choice and my Mrs. was very happy. I didn't get a pic of my son's yellow curry with chicken, as he dove into it before I could take a snapshot . He said it was one of the best curried he's had Only two little minor points on this visit. Being a popular spot, service ran a bit slow would be the biggest critic, along with being out of Singha Beer. The crispy egg rolls were tasty, but literally the size of my pinky and I am used to a more substantial egg roll like my mom makes. But you know me, food is what it is all about in my reviews! Lol! Cajun calamari 5/5 not too spicy at least I didn't notice but it was excellent and very crunchy. With a honey mustard style sauce which complimented the calamari. Chicken satay 5/5 excellent and smooth with yummy peanut sauce and tiny cup of cucumber salad. Garlic wings 4/5 ( some family members liked this the best). Garlicky and flavorful but for me, these were dry type of fried wings and I like mine with a glaze or sauce. Samosa- 4/5 a kind of sweet mashed potato type of filling. Fresh spring rolls 4/5 ok I am used to big kind where you can taste shrimp. These were small, and cut up. Fried veg rolls 4/5 kind of like small lumpia- ok Eggplant with chicken and basil 5/5 Pumpkin curry with chicken 5/5 one of my favorites Grilled lamb chops 5/5 my favorite of all. Grilled perfectly. Taste was excellent and served with special rice( forbidden rice or purple rice on top?). Drunken noodles with beef-5/5 ( some of my family's favorites). Pad Thai I paid extra for chicken and shrimp together. 5/5 I don't usually like shrimp but the prawns alone were amazing! Whole dish was perfect. Pad See Ew- 4/5 good but if I had to pick the other two pad Thai (#2) and drunken noodles (#1)were better. Laos sausage wrapped in leaves with a mix of peanuts, red onions and fresh lime and garlic. 5/5 A spicy sausage cut into slices to be wrapped in lettuce leaves. Pineapple fried rice 5/5 Mango Lovers- 10/5 surprisingly a star showcase of varied mango desserts with macaron cookies. Thai iced tea ice cream( loved this one), mango ice cream, mango slices and sweet rice, and a fresh strawberry and mango slices and a mango mousse cake slice. All excellent! I was surprised how big this was, so don't need to order any other dessert if you order this!!! Then my favorite fried banana fried in like a eggroll type wrapper. Smooth and yummy! And coconut ice cream complimented it perfectly. 10/5 So here you have an idea of menu offerings. All of them delicious and service and ambiance wonderful! I had a group of 12 in our party. It was a nice place to have a party. They loved all the drinks from lychee martini, Thai iced tea spiked and regular Thai iced teas and one with a basket drink. I am glad they helped us celebrate my daughter's achievements and sent her a complimentary ice cream. Thank you Torsop Thai for making it memorable and delicious for our family! Yes, that was my family and not even all of them were able to come-I have a big family! Definitely will come here for more family get togethers!

There was a slight mishap this time though I made the reservation about three days before Valentine's Day and received a confirmation text. I ask the waitress (different than the food runner) if this is accurate and if it is a violation to which she says yes and then takes our food away. we do have to wait quite a bit of time until our remade food comes out but it is what it is. additionally, when the remade food arrives, the non baked sushi looks exactly the same as it was before. im guessing their plating skills are exquisite and accurate because the waitress saw my concern and also brought out the contaminated plate to show us that the one at our table was newly made, as shown in the photos. i really appreciated that clarification but it seems as though they just don't care about basic health code protocol here or constantly slip up, which is rather unfortunate. and all in the name of having some japanese/thai food with the family.
