I have definitely found my salvation in this place after a night of debauchery. I am a big fan of pho already and this place has got to be my favorite place ever. Their broth is just so flavorful and the meats are also tender. My go to here is P1, which is the combination pho and their spring rolls. Out of all the pho places I've tried their spring rolls are the best. Everything is just so fresh and they don't just overstuff it with vermicelli. They put just the right amount of everything in there to make you savor every bite. This place has a good variety of add ons for the pho. My friend ordered bone marrow the last time we came here and they thoroughly enjoyed that marrow. I also appreciate the fact that they are open at 10am. Most places usually open at 11am and the fact that I can get my hangover cure so early so great! I think the only downside is I am not a big fan of their fruit smoothies. Ever since my first UYE with my fellow yelpers: Lou C., Chris C., Erin A., Maria W., Tracey S. and Brian D. I've been hooked about this place. I tell all friends who live in the area about 59 S Pho Binh. On the inside of Pho Binh is very calming gives me a feel of being in a jungle or rainforest. On the wall is pictures of bamboo sticks, landscape, and smooth colors that are all so welcoming. The tables aren't just plain ole' wooden table or granite, there is a different tone of agates, cloudy quartz, and I believe green quartzite rocks in resin. I was super thrilled to see that! Wow!! Another bonus point for my return of this place. The ultimate trigger which stained my interest was the signature sandwich. It is the bomb bombdiggity! No joke. I fell in love with the sandwich even dreamed of it. The special Fried Egg sandwich is soo good, better than the original sandwich in my opinion. Please don't come here, assume it's on the menu and order the wrong thing. Like I did.. that's the secret part of the special sandwich. It isn't on the menu, so ask for it when you order. i've always passed by this place coming home from work and never really had the chance to check it out until today. my parents wanted something nearby and this place came up first so we decided to go. i got the chicken dried noodle soup dish just cause it's something i havent tried before. i really enjoyed the flavor and the fried garlic tied it all together. the only downside is that it was a bit on the pricier side. so if you decide to come here, make sure you just got paid and you had already paid off all your bills. read more

It was a cold, rainy, and depressing night, my daughter and I decided pho was the perfect medicine to relieve the misery. We decided to give this Pho Binh a go since it had a more extensive menu than the location on Bellaire. After securing a table, we were informed that the kitchen was out of beef broth. We decided not to face the bad weather by looking for another pho shack, so we rolled with the chicken broth which we never had before. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls an also the shrimp version with our chicken broth base beef pho. Both spring rolls and the sauce were really fresh and tasty. The big surprise was the chicken broth. It was full of chicken flavor and it complimented the beef pho nicely which we did not expect. Table service was attentive and friendly. We always love getting Vietnamese food when we're in Houston, and when our plans for getting it for dinner fell through, we made sure to get some for lunch on Sunday before heading back home. We ordered a beef pho (rare steak and brisket), chicken vermicelli, and pork dumplings. The dumplings were great, and while the accoutrements for the vermicelli dish tasted fresh, the chicken was like chewing gum and gross. Pho: the meat was fine and we loved the unclouded broth, but there seemed to be a bit missing in the flavor department. It was good though. (However, when we unpacked our leftovers the next day, there was a strange milky substance throughout the whole thing that was weird and it had to be tossed.) Also weird was the service. Since we were basically the only people there, the servers just kept staring at us. They didn't seem to notice that we were making a "we're all set here, please stop staring at us" look. And, not that there's a lot riding on this, but nobody asked if we wanted our sprouts steamed, which they allegedly do here. 3.5 stars, but we're not feeling generous enough to round up. This Pho Binh is fine, but nothing special, and especially not worth visiting again given the embarrassment of Vietnamese riches in Houston. read more

After reading the reviews on this place I had to go, the crave of Pho was real the day of & only a five minute drive! Upon arrival they provided us with a menu, I ordered the spring rolls for my appetizer & even though they were just two they were beyond this worrrrld!!!!Ended up placing 3 orders of them.... I really like the pho! I've only tried the brisket and the broth has great flavor. However, I've tried the thai iced tea and it was not sweet. Just tasted like milk. The smoothies also taste like they are made from powder but still have good flavor. I always get my pho to-go but I dined in a while ago and the server was not great.. AT ALL. She never brought my veggies for my pho. I had to ask. She never refilled my water. Or came to check on me. Luckily there was another man serving and he refilled the water for me. My friend and I both got pho and he got the spring rolls. The large pho is $8ish and the medium is $7 so it's a bit pricier than other places in Houston. But the large is very large. The spring rolls came with fish sauce which is a bit odd since it usually comes with peanut sauce. The meat was very tender and didn't have much fat to it. The broth was my favorite part of the pho. I was skeptical at first bc it was so dark in coloring and that usually doesn't bode well for me in pho broths, but it was very light and flavorful without being overpowering in salt. I opted for the chicken pho dry. It was really good! Needed a tiny bit of more sauce. But I just ended up putting a small spoon from my pho broth into and it worked! The broth in the side was refreshing after eating sticky sauce. My dad had the pho dac biet and added a side of bone marrow. I've never had bone marrow with my pho before. I'm not sure where the fat came from but the broth that the bone marrow was in was super super fatty. Fatty and oily. The pho broth had a punch of flavor! I love that! This place is like a 4.5 but there's no option for that so I tapped the 5. The server was very good/exceptional compared to the other Pho Binhs that I've been to, but it could be because it wasn't as busy since we came around 7:20 and they close at 8. The lady boss was very nice. I liked the place, the only down side is, is that the large bowl is actually the extra large, didn't find this out until I got the bowl. The pho tai was pretty good, I think I tried better from them in the past, from the "at night" one. The cha gio (Vietnamese egg rolls) was fresh (wait there is another down side, sorry) except that they don't give enough lettuce, it could be enough for y'all though, because it seems that I have to ask for extra lettuce every place that I go. The egg rolls were also pretty good. Now the peach smoothie was what surprised me, it was like a smoothie that you would get at a smoothie place, very good. Fresh fruit too. The egg rolls were very small for the price, but the flavor was good. They gave me a sweet chili dipping sauce with them first but I asked for the fish sauce that's usually served with them and they brought some out and it was ok but watery. I love how happy i am everytime i get to come here. Its so far away from where I live, so when i am close, I come here. It hits the spot everytime. The meat is generous, the broth is hot and super tasty, the noodle is cooked just right. Everything is perfect. my fave pho in houston. you get a lot of bang for your buck here, a regular sized bowl is more than enough to fill me up and i love getting large pho. the broth comes out nice and hot, lots of beef flavor, just enough saltiness. but don't stop there. you need to order the bone marrow to top it off - this is the absolute game changer that you don't get at many other pho places. toss that stuff into your pho and flavor goes through the roof! by no means is this healthy, but if you cared about health you prob shouldn't be eating pho. it tastes so damn good. this one bowl usually covers my meal for the day bc of how rich it is. pricing has gone up slightly as of late, understandable with inflation. read more

This is our new go to place to satisfy our Vietnamese food craving. The place is brand new and has a nice, clean and welcoming ambiance. The food is good but a tad higher priced compared to a place in China Town. I had the pork vermicelli bowl, my daughters had the pho ga which is the white meat chicken pho and my hubby go the pork with the bone and rice. They did not have the usual fried egg that comes with the plate so my husband was sad about that. He likes the same dish at Don's Cafe better. The service was fast, speedy and polite. Oh man. This has dethroned Pho Da Lat as my absolute favorite Houston pho restaurant... and PDL has been my favorite for easily a decade! We go here after an archery LivingSocial date with the Hubbs, because it was close by and Hubbs needs his Asian food. Even though they were closing in 30 minutes, we got a warm and friendly greeting by a Vietnamese lady (who we later found out was the owner), and she promptly took our order. I had gotten the vermicelli, and Hubbs got their special pho. As we were waiting, I couldn't help but admire the decor and cleanliness of the place. It was so cute and welcoming. I'm used to the typical hole-in-the-wall pho places with dingy paint and old 80's faded posters of Asia (which I'm fine with). It was a nice surprise. The food took a little bit longer to come out than a typical hole-in-the-wall, but it was well worth the wait. My vermicelli had been arranged with aesthetic care, and it was even more of a treat when I found out it was DELICIOUS. The extra small ingredients they add really take it to the next level. Hubbs' eyes popped open when he put the first spoonful of pho into his mouth, and urged me to try the broth. You can just tell when someone puts a lot of effort into something as special as pho broth, and I could even detect extra spices. They put a lot of love into their pho, and it shows. Hubbs and I kept switching bowls so we could have the best of both worlds. But right before we had to switch, we'd be sad because what we were eating was so good. But then we'd get each others' bowls and be so happy, and then be sad when we had to switch back again. It was so good we brought some friends the next week for lunch. We were seated immediately I ordered a bun thit nuong while my bf ordered their large pho combo. What I noticed was that their appetizers were a bit pricey. For example the spring rolls 2 for 4.95! Definitely not worth getting. The food came out almost 2 mins after ordering. The meat of for my dish was almost perfect. Could be more seasoned.
