When I see a cute and/or interesting biz name, I can't help myself, but to check them out. Pho Bro got my attention. I'm not sure if "Bro" stands for brother or broth. I'll have to ask them the next time I return. It is located in the Canyon Point Marketplace in Rowland Heights. It was in the late afternoon. I walked in and there was one table occupied. It's a very spacious pho place. Very clean and comfortable. Long, the owner, was very humble and hospitable. I had a nice conversation with him while I was waiting for my order. Thank you Long. I got 3 items to-go... here's our take on them. 1. Pho Ga (Chicken) - OMG, chicken broth was the B*MB! Very light and not oily... just simple clean and flavorful broth. Lots of shredded chicken that wasn't dry... quite moist. Fresh onions and herbs. Tons and I mean tons of rice noodles. I'm getting this again! 2. Pho Tai (Rare Steak) with tendon - My daughter ate this. She said it was very very delicious. Broth was amazingly savory. Tons of rare steak slices. Tendon was good. Fresh veggies. Lots of rice noodles. Another must get! 3. Shrimp Egg Rolls - These were tasty. Shrimps were good size shrimps. Wonton skin was perfectly fried and crispy. Delish! I would get this again, too. Everything was fantastic! Broth was authentic and tasty. Flavor was on point. Taste was delicious. Portion was huge. Owner and service were top-notch. I am coming back for more pho-bro-liciousness. Stay true to your pho craft, Pho Bro!

Ehhh, just a-okay. I don't think I'd return. Their vermicelli bowl was subpar - the beef was fatty and grisly, vegetables didn't taste that fresh. The only upside was the probably frozen egg rolls.

Too bad we went on a Friday during lent and we couldn't eat pork/try their egg rolls! But we ordered Pho seafood and Pho vegetables. At first we thought there was a mix up with our order because they first served a large bowl with broth and some veggies in it and then served with a plate of leafy greens and then we asked about it, good thing our server was kind enough to teach us that the leafy greens goes with the broth and we mix it together and my order of Pho seafood is still being prepared. The taste of both pho is truly exceptional, will definitely come back and order the same one again or try a new one and by then I would be able to order their egg roll, hopefully! The Thai tea is very tasty too!!

They offer comforting ambiance with friendly service, and my son endulged on his "beefy" pho noodles and gave his thumbs up. We thoroughly enjoyed their pho with tasty beef broth on a rainy day and would recommend the experience.

Nice and chill spot to go for a lunch break. I've come here a few times and there staff here are really nice. Usually, just find an open seat when you walk in. The food is here is good I personally like the Vermicelli bowls when I would come eat for lunch. Food comes out pretty quick and usually it's not to busy so it's a good restaurant to come in and chill and have good bite of Vietnamese food.

Be wary!! Their bún vermicelli with grilled beef (B2) is a HOT dish, not a cold vermicelli dish. Also the beef is not technically "grilled" as you would expect it to be. More like stir fried. The vermicelli came out piping hot and was very soggy. Their pho broth is lacking depth of flavor and is extremely oily (see picture). Tastes nothing like a good pho broth you would expect, just get mouthful of oil with every bite. It was noticeably sweet too. Their beef balls however are pretty good. Cheap prices compared to other local pho places but I don't think it's worth it. Wouldn't come back.

The special!

I love Vietnamese pho this place has a special that combines steak, brisket, Tribe, and meatballs on the same boat so I just had to try it out and it was incredibly delicious I always like to order extra peppers, fresh sliced jalapeño peppers mixed in with the bean sprouts this is a full meal!!! This whole area is full of great places to try but you can't beat the price here! The quality is also top notch so you won't need to worry about anything. The flavor is perfect and makes me crave this stuff 24/7! Stop by, the atmosphere is so relaxing and the food will top it off perfect!!!

We stumbled upon Pho Bro in a strip mall and decided to try it. There was only one waitress on a Sunday afternoon, but she did well in taking orders and delivering food in a timely manner. There are plenty of tables that can accommodate even groups of 8-10. My husband appreciated the size of the pho and said it was pretty good. Nothing to beware of or get super excited about. The grilled pork banh my sandwich was super tasty. I was thankful the waitress suggested the grilled pork instead of the grilled beef. I appreciated that I could order spring rolls with either 2 pieces or more. They were okay, not the best, but satisfying.

This restaurant's pho is ok, but I don't like the grilled spring rolls and the accompanying sauce is not good.

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"

I've tried their beef noodle soup, and it's one of the most authentic versions I've had outside of Taiwan. It's got great beefy flavor, balanced by that iconic five spice. We also steered off the beaten path by trying a rice dish, and this wasn't as spectacular, hence the 4 stars. I'd focus on getting the noodles, which makes sense since it's in their name! Great little local spot.

The online menu also allows for less oil, so I decided to go for the healthier option. In general, I like how their menu allows for easily adding and removing toppings from your orders. The house beef noodles even at mild spice can pack a good amount of heat, so I'd give a warning if you have a low tolerance. The zajiang noodles had a great texture, and the flavor was light but still flavorful. I'd definitely order that again but with mild spice next time I make a visit. The restaurant has a nice and clean ambience with space for group and solo seating. Unfortunately, the restaurant was undergoing power issues, so we couldn't use a phone to order. A server took our order and explained that one area of the restaurant was even unlit because of the power issues. The lights briefly went out as well, and the servers were understandably worried about the situation. Thankfully, they quickly turned back on. Payment was conducted via Zelle; the other option was cash.

I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The noodles had the perfect bouncy texture, the pork was super tender, and the bok choy added a nice crunch that helped balance the richness of the broth. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good noodles Mian is definitely worth checking out!!

It's tucked away in a strip mall, and while it wasn't too busy when we arrived, the ambience was cozy and inviting. We ordered a couple of noodle dishes and a few appetizers, and everything was brought out fresh as it was ready. The flavors were outstanding--bold, well-balanced, and unlike your typical Chinese takeout. What really sets this place apart is that they make their noodles fresh in-house--you can actually watch them being pulled through a window in the dining room. They also incorporate spices you don't usually find in Chinese cuisine, like cumin, which gave the dishes a really unique and delicious twist. A couple other things to note are that you order food through your phone which makes things super easy and they also do not serve any alcohol. However they have a wide variety of teas and soft drinks. This spot is definitely one of my new favorites, and I'll be coming back anytime I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

We had to pack our leftovers ourselves, and after paying, the receipt was simply placed on the table without even a word of thanks. The service is truly not what it used to be!
