Very impressed with the food. We had the egg rolls, a vermicelli bowl and a pho bowl. The egg rolls were quite crispy, tasty and filling for an appetizer. More importantly they were not greasy. Vermicelli bowl was sizable and full of flavor. Plenty of fresh ingredients to counter the texture of the noodles. The sauce added a nice boost to the flavor. The pho bowl was quite pleasing. A nice flavorful hot broth with plenty of meat (if that matters). Plenty of sprouts, basil, jalapenos and culantro for the pho. Add a dash of the chili sauce and hoisin sauce to taste and enjoy. Tried shrimp FR W/ Vietnamese sausage close to $12, a few pieces of shrimp, frozen peas/carrots, that's what I do at home when I don't feel like cooking this is a restaurant so you'd expect something better. People joke that it's not a legit pho place unless there's a number in the name and some suspect-looking businesses located next door. If that's th case, this place is the real deal. We've been by on rainy gloomy days, the best day for pho, and left full and satisfied. Your order is taken at the table and the waiter will leave you a ticket stub at your table that you'll take up to the cashier to pay later. This is definitely the best pho place i've ever been to, I came with my friend Phillip Phan. He recommended this place to me. I eat a lot of pho due to my girlfriend being Viet so i'm always around pho and how it should be made. The broth was amazing you can tell they took their time preparing the broth unlike I luv pho which is the worst pho you can find on this planet. Stopped by on July 4th at the recommendation of a friend (she assured me this location was the best out of the 3 Pho Dai Loi's) and she was right! ...Well, I've only been to one other - the one on Buford Highway, but this one was definitely better. The medium-sized pho came with a TON of meat and I'm someone who usually can't get enough meat! For dessert I ordered the avocado shake with boba. This avocado shake is up there with Lee's Bakery is tastiness. Yum! But...it came with these light pastel-colored boba that were slightly undercooked and tasted like soft rubber so I'd recommend skipping those. All in all, Pho Dai Loi pho the win! read more

Wonder why I gave this place a two stars?? First of all, when my sister ordered her favorite #12 (steak and fatty brisket). She specifically told our waiter NO CILANTRO. And he looked confused and didn't really know what he was jotting down on his paper. So I repeated what my sister told him. I also said NO CILANTRO (caps, because I specified on those two words). My mom got the pho noodle soup with shrimp in it. Don't know the name of it, though. We also ordered fresh spring roll. Our food came out and guess what?? There were a lot of CILANTRO in my soup.. but not only my soup but my sister's soup as well. I hate the taste of CILANTRO.. BLEH!!! The fresh spring rolls were all right. The sauce that came with it was very yummy! But I didn't like the little pieces of peanuts in it. No.. not allergic but every time I eat dry peanuts.. my throat gets all scratchy and weird, then I cough a lot.. and that's why I don't like eating peanuts. My sister found these mushy, squishy things in our soup which we soon found out that they were tendons. Now we definitely know we didn't order this soup!! My sister called our waiter and told him, "Excuse me, there's tendon in our soup and we didn't order this one!" Well something like that anyways... the waiter has this sort of dumbfounded look upon his face and said, "Just take it out." What the efff man!? What kind of restaurant tells their customers to take it out themselves? I was so PISSED!!! Then my sister asked them if we could get more meat.. they only gave us two slices of meat.. wow... two... really?? Just two?? This was my worst experience at one of the Pho Dai Loi restaurants ever! But this was my first visit.. I hope my next visit won't be the same. I don't want him as my server!!! That's how bad the service was over here! I think our waiter didn't know any English. And I'm guessing it was his fault for not telling the cooks not to add the CILANTRO... grrrr!!! I think if there weren't any CILANTRO in my soup, then the pho would have tasted a lot better!! While I've heard many amazing reviews about the pho at this place, I just thought it was ok. My mom and I split an order of spring rolls (and actually got one to go because they were so cheap). They were HUGE and kind of overly filled with lettuce but they were good and the peanut sauce was better than most I've had for spring rolls. We both ordered large combination beef phos. I had never seen so much pho in my life! We had to get two to go boxes but of course pho doesn't really keep well (noodles tend to disintegrate in the broth) so mine ended up in the trash. That bf has been wanting to try this location since it's close to home and he has always claimed that the Buford Hwy location had the best pho he's ever had. I'll admit...I was skeptical. Dear Lord, that's a lot of pho!! One a rainy Sunday evening, my boyfriend and I were trying to figure out what to eat for dinner (we'd had a late lunch and been pretty lazy that day watching movies), so it didn't need to be huge and heavy. We'd been debating various pho places for a while, so we finally decided to go for it. It came down to either What the Pho or Pho Dai Loi, and since this one had more positive reviews, I voted for trying Pho Dai Loi. Good choice. As pho places go, this restaurant is pretty ritzy. A couple of crystal chandeliers, well lit and clean, TV playing Korean soap operas in one corner, etc. Oh, and the decided aroma of pho that's been cooking and simmering and growing ever better the longer it cooks, permeating the place. We entered and one of the girls showed us to a table. Thank goodness there were pictures accompanying most of the menu or else I'd have been slightly lost (I've not had a lot of interactions with pho in all honesty). Everything looked really good from the pictures though, and I'd certainly go back to try another dish in the future. In typical fashion though, the waiter came over to take our order before we were really ready, so we stalled for time with an order of pork spring rolls. Then after more musings, I decided to go with the pho bac diet (the combo pho of all kinds of meats I'd never heard of) and my boyfriend got the pho with two types of beef. We both ordered the medium size since we weren't starving. Mistake. The first surprise came in the form of the pork spring rolls. They were large! They reminded me of small burritos in rice paper. Very good - they were stuffed with rice noodles, shredded pork, cabbage, carrots, etc with a sweet, hot sauce to dip them in. Yum. And then the pho came. Holy moly. That was a medium bowl?!? I'd hate to see the large. The bowl resembled close to a gallon of soup chock full of rice noodles, meats (some identifiable, some not), scallions, bean sprouts, and lots and lots of fragrant, steaming broth. And oh it was tasty. Like I said, I'm kind of a pho novice, but with a little hoisin sauce and chili sauce mixed in, the pho was great. I couldn't finish it sadly, I might have burst if I hadn't put my chopsticks and spoon down. But I wanted to. I now know just to order the smaller size next time. While I couldn't eat pho on a daily basis (it's a unique taste that can get a little rich to me), I would certainly come back to Pho Dai Loi for another fix. I couldn't go into the restaurant because they wouldn't allow the guide dog that I am training, as a certified trainer, through the Guide Dog Foundation. In the state of Georgia, guide dogs in training are allowed the same access rights into restaurants and other establishments as graduated guide dogs. My boyfriend who is Vietnamese explained this to the manager in Vietnamese. They just responded to us saying there is a sign on the door that says no dogs because they don't like the fur. It's illegal for them to turn away service dogs in training as they need to be acclimated to these kind of environments once they go into formal training at the foundation and get matched with their handler. I will never eat there and I can never eat there because they do not support the training of service dogs for those who are disabled or impaired. read more

My tummy told me we were getting some vietnamese food the other day, so I decided to stop by Pho Dai Loi. We ordered fried shrimp wraps that my sister claims to love here. However, she told me it was weird that the order came out within a few minutes. Sure enough... when we took a bite of it... we knew why. The fried shrimp wraps must have been made/cancelled from a previous customer because it was stone cold and did not taste good at all. I brought this to the attention of my server and he put in an order for another one. I ordered their Bun Bo Hue without the coagulated pork blood (I tried it and did not like it. haha) I haven't had this soup in such a long time so I was pretty excited. For those of you who don't know what Bun Bo Hue is, it is a vietnamese soup with a spicy lemongrass flavor and vermicelli noodles. It generally comes with coagulated pork blood!! So... ask your server to leave it out if you're not into that. The broth wasn't bad compared to what I've had in the past. I wish the broth was a little more flavorful as it tasted a tad bit watered down. About 10 minutes after finishing my soup, the fried shrimp wraps finally came out. Nom Nom. finger-burning hot fried shrimp wraps.... Now this is what we were waiting for.... It was sooo much better than the cold one they tried giving us earlier. As you can see, this appetizer takes a super long time to come out in general. Make sure you put in your order quickly in the beginning so you can enjoy your appetizer AFTER your meal. =p read more

A group of 12 walk into Pho Dai Loi 3 and have an awesome experience. The main hostess was very diligent at catering to us, making sure we each had our orders in a timely manner, and keeping the cycle of food coming, starting with: Cafe Sua Da Guaranteed to counter a food coma. Balanced sweetness, and ask to have it in a to go cup (you'll get more). Spring rolls. They come 2 in a plate, either with shrimp or vegetables, are delicious and freshly made. Some of the best in town. Bánh mì bò kho (#26) It's a beef stew with fresh crunchy french bread. It can be a bit heavy on the fat, but don't eat it. Just dip the french bread in it, and enjoy. You can't go wrong with this dish you're looking for something soupy and warm without having Pho. Can be shared. Lollipops Get some on the counter on your way out. Orange is pretty good. read more

I have visited this location a number of times with no issues - so I decided to have a Valentine's lunch with my girlfriend here. Ordered a Pho Tai, and it was great. Ate the entire thing. Little did I know it would be the last thing I ate for 3 days. I'm very sad to say this place gave me the most violent food poisoning I have ever had in my 30 years of life. I went here, by myself, after work this week. It was 5pm on a Wednesday, and the place was literally dead. There was one other couple that was there, and otherwise... No one. It was kind of eerie, to be in a medium-sized dining room, and to be one of the only people in the entire establishment. That being said, I might be a bit sacrilegious in this instance because I did not have the pho. I decided to try that another time, and instead try a pork dish with rice. The pork was delicious! Spicy, a little tougher than I usually eat pork, but very very flavorful. Also, bone-in, which was interesting for me to eat. This never fails. Every time I walk in, get seated, immediately a waiter would be standing over my shoulder waiting to take my order. I'll tell them to give me a few minutes to adjust my buttocks and maybe look at the dang menu first?? 2 minutes later, they'll be standing right next to me asking me if I'm ready. It's one of my biggest peeve!! I know it's fairly predictable when you walk into one of these Pho joint, it's quite obvious you want a bowl of Pho. Well, I am one of those unpredictable one... I do alternate my options between the Pho and the Rice Noodles depending on my mood. Despite the rush and their constant stacking and squeaking of condiments... the food is fairly decent and cheap. Their menu is pretty typical, just like any other Vietnamese Pho joint you go to. Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Coffee, Rice Noodles, Rice Plates... The. Absolute. Best. Bun. Bo. Hue. I've. Ever. Had. Including my mom's (yes I said it). Not only do they give a generous yet proportional amount of noodle & meat, the bowl of soup comes out straight in front of you in like 5 minutes from ordering. Their veggie plate is ALWAYS fresh & plentiful. I always order a side of white onion and put a heap of it on my bbh. Their pho is also the best I've ever had, and comes out from the kitchen even faster than my BBH. Their large bowl easily rips your stomach open bc they're so generous with the noodle & meat. Flavor is ALWAYS on point, and noodle/meat ALWAYS cooked perfectly. I've been to this place at least once a week since it opened and never had a bad experience. I always leave full, happy, and smelling like the sweet aroma of my favorite soup, making me wish I was hungry again so that I could come back for more. Their spring rolls/egg rolls (appetizers overall), bun bowls, rice plates & special drinks are all so delicious. This is Vietnam in Duluth y'all. If they ever close, I will legit cry. I found definitely call this place overhyped. I got really sick after eating their pho and vermicelli bowl with lemongrass chicken last weekend. Fish sauce that was served with chicken bowl was very spicy and pho broth was just ok, I was very thirsty afterwards. I am a very picky eater, especially when it comes to Vietnamese food. There are not very many pho places here in Atlanta, and being that I, myself, am not a pho-lover either makes it very very difficult for these restaurants to get my approval as far as pho. So when I first heard about Pho Dai Loi's 3rd chain nearby my apartment, I decided to give it a try since both their other locations in both Morrow and Buford Hwy are satisfying, I didn't hesitate to come in here. I was surprised at their spacious and very CLEAN location. That was something that I really liked about this restaurant because it was very neat and spotless. They've been opened for 2 years but sometimes restaurants can't keep up with their place if it is a busy. I always love the way they make their Bun Bo Hue so it was a given that I ordered that and my brother ordered their Pho Dac Biet (special pho). Both bowls were exceptionally delicous! I was very surprised at the pho my brother ordered because it was something that was the utmost fantastic pho i've had since California. I even started to question if the chef was from California! Next day, I decided to return and see how their other dishes were so my brother, being the pho lover that he is, ordered the same thing because he claims its the best pho in Atlanta. I, however, ordered their Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong (Vermicelli Noodles with eggrolls and bbq pork). I do not lie when I say that it was unbelievable. They didn't put any beansprouts in it, which I hate because most places will put the beansprouts in there not for the flavor profile, but to just add volume to the bowl making the perception that you have more of a serving when all you really have is more veggies. The flavor profiles were all there and it was delicous. To top it off?...they actually brought out my eggroll fresh and HOT. The waiter said he was sorry for bringing it out "late" but I told him it's better because it just came out of the fryer! Thank you, Pho Dai Loi for opening your 3rd chain up in Duluth. i will definitely recommend all of my friends and family who come to visit me from out of state, to eat here more often. The food is pretty good, but the service could be better. I am generally a fan of the Pho Dai Loi's around the Atlanta area, but my experience here was just average. I didn't order pho, which is probably the first issue. Their rice dishes and vermicelli noodles (bun) were just okay compared to their pho. I do appreciate that they give very generous portions of meat and rice/noodles for both (like a LOT of rice/noodles). The rice dish was on par with other popular Vietnamese restaurants, but my date told me that the vermicelli noodles were a bit bland compared to other restaurants (adding a little Sriracha helped). My biggest complaint is the service. The food came out quickly, but the server was sitting and playing games on his phone when we tried to ask for more water. Probably tired from a long day, but it didn't leave a good impression. I'd still return to Pho Dai Loi 3 for some pho. Maybe I'll end up editing my rating after another visit. read more

This is my go to place when I'm craving bun bo hue. It's delicious! I've tried a few other dishes here but nothing really stands out except for their bun bo hue. Bun bo hue is a spicy noodle dish that has rice vermicelli noodles, beef, pig knuckles and pork blood. I don't really care for the pig knuckle, but the pork blood is actually quite delicious. First Vietnamese restaurant of this trip. I came here knowing exactly what I wanted, a brisket pho and some spring rolls. I came in kind of late (close to 9) and they close at 9 according to yelp. The restaurant its very spacious, not the nicest but clean. I was attended very quickly and ordered as soon as I sat down. My meal consisted of the Brisket pho, and a pair of spring rolls. Also I have never been asked if I wanted my bean sprouts steamed or normal! I opted for the steamed ones since I've never had it that way. Once the pho arrived the smell had me smiling! I added all the goodies in the broth and onto my first bite. Ummmm it was a satisfying first bite. The broth was very refreshing, and clean.... The brisket as soft as it can be and definitely less fat on them compared to other places. The springs rolls well good as well, but just ate one since I was already too full to finish them both, plus I have to leave space for dessert! Overall thanks for a great meal! Pho Dai Loi 3 - Brisket pho with steamed bean sprouts.. - Vietnamese Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

I went here with a group of friends after a long day of strenuous hiking in North Georgia. We agreed to meat here for dinner since it was on the way home and we knew Vietnamese food (especially pho) would hit the spot. Bahn mi seems to be to pricey here compared to other pleas I know, so we decided to go with spring rolls as an app instead of those. 3 out of the 5 of us ordered pho; 2 out of the 5 ordered vermicelli bowls. We also ordered spring rolls to split amongst the group. I ordered the Pho #5 which has everything; all the fatty cuts and organ meat typical of classic pho. Most places call it their pho#1. It was great. I got the large size which is their largest (no xl size; only small, medium and large). Pho Dai Loi 3 is very good, but doesn't do too much to differentiate themselves from other pho places in the area (i.e.. I Luv Pho, Pho Bac et al). They all seem to be about the same in my book; all are good. My only complaint is the lack of condiments on the table. They had some but not all of the good stuff that I like to see. You have to ask for the sweet, thick brown sauce (not sure of the name) typically found in other pho restaurants along with the Sriracha. I did not see any Sambal Oleek (?) red pepper chutney either. They also do not have the tiny little saucers other places have with which to mix the sauces in. Other than that this place does not differ too much from the others. Pho Dai Loi 3 is located in a retail strip shopping center on Pleasant Hill Rd. on the other side to the interstate from Gwinnett Place Mall. There is plenty of space in the parking lot and plenty of seating inside the restaurant. Perhaps really deserves 3.5 strs; however, service was spot on, so I will dish out 4 stars. read more

I have been here several times, for both lunch and dinner.Although I grew up with Pho, occasionally I will get a craving for it. Either Pho Dai Loi places in Duluth or Buford or Pho Bac will satisfy me. I have taken my parents and relatives here when they came to visit, which should be a sign of how high their Pho measures in my book. My charming mother convinced the waiter to give us some extra lime which we took and made some "lemonade". We ordered apps and some non-Pho dishes but since they do not stick out in my mind, they were probably a-ok. There are few ways to go wrong at a Vietnamese place when you order Pho and Iced Coffee. I usually rate Vietnamese restaurants based on their Pho. This place has one of the best in Duluth. The broth is has a delicious, clear, almost crisp taste that marks a broth done right. For dessert or the trip home, the iced coffee is tasty. When I say coffee, I mean Vietnamese coffee. While this place does not have the best Vietnamese coffee, it is still tasty. read more
