    Bun Bo Hue

An unassuming restaurant conveniently located right next to Lee Lee's supermarket. We had been here before many years ago but heard it went through a few different owners since then, so we decided to give it another try. After looking over the menu, we decided to start with the shrimp and pork spring rolls, and the steamed rice rolls to share. The spring rolls were of a good size. However, the ratio of the filling was not to our preferences. There were way too many veggies and very little noodles. The steamed rice rolls were hands down our favorite item of the meal. It had a good balance of contrasting textures to it; flavors were delicate but delicious. For our main entrees, we ordered the Bun Bo Hue and the vermicelli salad bowl with grilled pork and an egg roll. The Bun Bo Hue was hearty but could've been more aromatic. There was decent amount of meat. However, there weren't enough noodles for me so next time I would order extra. Overall, service was fast and friendly. I would say prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food we received. This is one of those places you don't come to for the ambiance, you come for the food. I highly recommend paying by cash or Zelle to avoid having to pay the additional 3% fee if you pay by credit card.

Pro-tip: If you pay with cash or Zelle, you can avoid the 3% credit card fee. The Zelle information is at the check out counter. Highlights: The servers were very nice and attentive. The food came out quickly, and the portion was pretty good. Lowlights: I don't like how they add on a 3% credit card fee. I also thought the flavor of the pho broth was salty and the bun bo hue was pretty oily.

Stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. It's adjacent to Lee Lee's supermarket, sharing the same bathroom. We sat down and ordered the Pho Combo and BBH. Both came out very quickly and piping hot. The broth was pretty good, and the veggies very fresh. The pho came with an appropriate amount of meat, and decent broth. The BBH could have been a tad more lemongrassy, but still quite tasty. We opted last minute for here instead of their neighbor UnPhogettable based on pricing, and glad we did! Payment is cash, card, or Zelle.

This place!! I decided to eat lunch here since I had shopping to do at Lee lees. What a great choice! I only got the spring rolls and chicken potstickers but let me tell you. The food is extremely fresh and delicious. Probably the best potstickers I've ever had hands down, combined with their amazing dipping sauce. Can't wait to come back to try their other items! It's also very clean and service is great! Highly recommend.

I just finished a doctors appointment and I really craved a bowl of pho. This place was nearby and was only one of two places that opened earlier in the morning. I went in with the intention of ordering a combination pho, but after I browsed the menu, I decided to order the Phnom Penh Noodle soup. The guy who took my order asked if I wanted rice or egg noodles. I asked which he preferred. He then suggested both. Heck yeah, why not! Great suggestion! I also ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was brought out in a to-go paper cup. I was expecting the traditional apparatus. The coffee was very very sweet and tasted like it had a lot of cream and sugar instead of sweetened condensed milk. When I brought this to the attention of the server, he verified it did consist of cream, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. I could hardly detect the condensed milk because of the overpowering sweetness of the drink. I threw it away after I returned home. As for the noodle soup, the broth was definitely imitation chicken broth possibly from bouillon. It definitely wasn't made with fresh chicken. Just FYI - this dish is made with chicken broth, ground pork, pork, shrimp, and quail eggs. The egg noodles had nice texture and chew. The rice noodles were your typical Phö noodles. Good, but the egg noodles are definitely the way to go with this dish. The pork pieces tasted old, like old socks and dry! The quail eggs and shrimp were good. There were only a few specks of ground pork in my soup. Overall, I was disappointed with my meal and dining experience. How can you mess up a simple Vietnamese coffee? $5.00 down the drain, literally! As for the Phnom Pehn Rice & Egg noodles! I'll pass!

Spicy beef.. If you don't like bologna style ham in your dish don't order this one. And not spicy at all for me at least.

This place has gone through so many different owners .. Figure I try this Pho place... Wanted to try new one. Nice and clean restaurant, friendly staff. Price is not too crazy.. Ordered the brisket Pho and spicy beef one. Broth on the Pho was actually pretty good. Better than most of the place. Although the bowl looked some what lonley. Spicy beef one #12 was pretty good also. Over all yummy place but then there are so many to choose from... Nothing out of the ordinary but above average on the broth itself. I would come back here again if I'm in the area again.

Recently visited here on a trip back to Arizona over Christmas break, needed a place to grab some food on Christmas Day and saw this place was open. Let's start with the service. The service was second to none as the waiters constantly checked in and made sure our waters were full and the food was good. Moving onto the food. The food was pretty standard all around with my SO trying out their pho and myself grabbing the hue style noodles. Overall, everything was spot on, nothing to write home about, but solid for a cold winter day. If you are shopping around Lee Lees or just in the area, definitely stop by here!

I always love a good bowl of Bun Bo Hue - or in the case of Pho Dam - a PHENOMENAL bowl of Bun Bo Hue! Pho Dam has great food, quick service and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Amazing pho with homemade broth and 2 types of noodles…read more We came on a Sunday morning. At this restaurant, you order before you sit down. Pho with rare steak: (5/5) Comes with the option of thick or thin noodles. We tried both of them, and I prefer the thick noodles. Came with noodles, homemade broth (most pho restaurants use a standard MSG broth, but not this one), rare steak, onions, mint leaves, bean sprouts, a lemon wedge, and jalapeños. The beef was very tender and flavorful, it was not chewy or dry at all. The broth tasted much better than other broths, but I'm not too sure what is in it. All other ingredients were fresh. Service: (3/5) You order before you sit yourself at a table. You get your own water. They do bring the food to your table though. Ambiance: (2.5/5) The restaurant is a little bit cramped and the tables are mismatched. It can also get very busy but they also have outside seating. Overall I would recommend the pho here just remember that it's mostly self serve and the broth is very good.

Feels built for takeout, not dining in - Despite all the self-service, they still ask for a tip at the register; which felt off - Staff seemed disinterested; ask a question and you're treated like an inconvenience - Casual, no-frills vibe. Got a medium or large party? You're rearranging tables yourself or splitting up Bottom line: decent food, but the service model and the tip ask don't add up. Probably won't be recommending this one.

I finally visited it again after 10-15 years When I come here, I always order hu tieu sa te. The prices have always been so cheap here and they continue to hold prices true. I tried the crispy chicken for the first time and it was full of flavor, marinated in a tangy, salty and sweet sauce. I didn't need to dip in extra soy sauce. The dish comes with a side of rice as well. The appetizer I got was the crispy tofu. The tofu is so soft inside the thin crispy layer, enough carb and not overwhelmed with fryness. Overall I would continue to come back because they continuously are consistent with the food quality for a cheap price.

In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised by their growing menu and their willingness to better themselves by listening to Yelp feedback. You can really feel the spirit of home-cooking and the cozy atmosphere of a locally owned restaurant here. In the best way possible, service hasn't changed - it's still the same friendly owner greeting you with a smile and overall cheerful attitude. You can tell that they are actively growing as a restaurant and I can't help but want to cheer them on! Today, I had their banh mi pho with a side of Chinese donuts to dip into the pho broth. Absolutely delicious and great concept. My constructive feedback is if they can dial in their pho broth (which I already enjoy) to have more in-depth bone broth/spice flavor and less reliance on maybe the salty aspect.
