Banh Mi Tofu with no mayonnaise
    Aries F.

Vegan review: Local Vietnamese restaurant, overall, I give it a 7 out of 10. Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere, with good music playing. Food: I've ordered their Tofu banh mi, Veggie pho with veggie broth, and fried rolls with veggies. I definitely enjoyed the fried rolls and the banh mi, those are staples for me. The pho was delicious regarding flavour, 10/10 but the noodles were pre-cut and I wasn't the biggest fan of that. Nonetheless, that wouldn't stop me from ordering it again!! Drinks: The Sweet Tea(s) are out of this world!! Sooo delicious. The Lychee sweet tea is the perfect amount of sweet, and the passionfruit. It appears they use real fruit as well, making the flavour ten-times better.

First time there and not my last!!! Great pho! The flavor was just right! The portion size was great for my large pho. Egg rolls were fresh and good. Customer service was excellent. Really clean place. Thanks guys.

A good place to crab Vietnamese food if you're in the Des Moines. The food is good and isn't terribly over priced. The service could be a little slow at times.

    Unacceptable Experience at Pho Dinh.

We were the only ones inside. The Pho was water pretty much. No flavor at all. We ordered crab cakes that were cold inside.

It was not overly greasy and it came with 6 bao, sauce, cucumbers, cilantro and watermelon radish. Presentation was beautiful and we got upgraded to a bigger table since there is no way it would have fit on the tiny table they sat us at. Does take 20 minutes so order and appetizer or some drinks. The 9 flavor basil beef was wildly tender and very delicious. The bed of sprouts and onions was almost better than the beef. Couple of cocktails and we had to waddle out. I cannot believe none of the reviews for this place mention the floor. It is quite gross and feels and sounds like your neighborhood discount movie theater auditorium. I heard someone mention they are resurfacing it. Probably should do that while you close for a couple days if that is the problem

I kept it simple and ordered the shrimp fried rice. It was good, genuinely good, though it leaned a touch bland, the kind of dish that makes you wonder what it tastes like when the kitchen is firing on all cylinders earlier in the evening. Still, nothing disappointing about it. What really caught my attention was what I didn't eat. Glancing around at the other tables, the dishes coming out looked seriously promising, colorful, well-composed, the sort of plates that make you lean in for a closer look. That alone is enough to earn a return visit

I put in a simple order for my son & I. My son's pho & side of rice came out within 10-15 minutes. I waited for our spring rolls & my vermicelli bowl well after my son had started eating. I asked about my food just before 7pm to which I was told it was still being worked on. I paid my tab then asked a short time later that I'd like the remaining food to go. At 7:15pm I went up to the register to request a refund for the items I never received. I was asked if I had paid my bill (by the same young lady that took my payment). I handed her my receipt & she informed me that my food had been ready. It's unclear why, it was never brought out. I had told her that we had been waiting for an extended period of time to which she agreed. I pointed out that another two person table, that arrived after us, had been served their food before us. The young lady plainly told me that it was out of her control since there were new people in the back. No apology just an excuse. No one took responsibility for the disorganization in the back. I again requested a refund only to hear that she didn't know how to do a refund. I'm the end, I was given the cash for the two items minus the taxes. I've been to this establishment in the past & never have I experienced this type of situation. Hopefully, it was just a one off because they have excellent food. For now, I have no desire to return

The calamari was good, the salmon tartare was delicious and left me wanting more, and the shrimp ceviche was absolutely outstanding--one of the best I've had (chef's kiss). For mains, we had the stir-fried cabbage (very nice), pumpkin curry salmon (great flavor combo), basil roasted duck, and the signature carbonara. While the mains were good, they didn't quite live up to how impressive the appetizers were--the duck was just okay, and the carbonara didn't really stand out. Overall, I really enjoyed Di Fiora and would definitely come back to try more dishes. Highly recommend.

In fact, the interior is so unique that you wouldn't immediately guess it's an Asian restaurant. The staff were friendly, though service was a bit inattentive; I found myself waiting longer than expected for basic things. Interestingly, when I ordered noodles and asked for chopsticks, they told me they didn't have any. It was quite a surprise to find an Asian restaurant serving noodles without chopsticks. As for the food, it was fine, but nothing memorable for the price. I've had better Asian food elsewhere in Seattle for less. If you're after a stylish, brunch-aesthetic spot to try Asian-inspired dishes, Di Fiora fits the bill. But if you're going purely for the flavors, you may leave underwhelmed.
