Authentic Vietnamese foods with friendly service. I came here with a friend to check out this newly open restaurant since it's the only place to sit down in the area. The foods remind me of home and each portion is big enough to serve 2 people. We got pork chop on rice and beef pho for main courses and flan for dessert. Needless to say, we left the restaurant with a full and satisfied stomach. Saw chicken wings and shrimp on rice on the menu too so I'll make sure to come back and try those. read more

Walking to this restaurant was a little suspect at first... not going to lie, my friend and I were discussing the possibility of us being robbed if we came here after dark. During the day it still is a little shady, but the food and experience are worth it. As soon as we walked in we were taken to a table immediately. greeted with water and menus before we could even pull out our chairs to sit. The restaurant definitely does not reflect the neighborhood its in, with a clean area, tables, and a bound book for the menu my friend and I were shocked. I ordered the small ($7.50) Pho Ga and ($4) fried chicken wings that came out relatively quickly. Just like most Pho places the small bowl is more than enough, a huge bowl that could feed someone at least twice. The broth had a light flavor and you can definitely taste the star anise and clove slow-cooked, so you know they know what they're doing. It was refreshing and what was needed on a chilly Sunday morning. They provided plenty of noodles, but i did feel the chicken was a little bland. Using some hoison sauce, sriracha (I like it HOT) and the toppings that come with it (jalapenos, bean sprouts, lime, basil leaves) balanced everything out. The fried chicken wings- to my surprise were really good!! They were the perfect amount of crispiness and were hot and fresh when served. It was lightly seasoned and the chicken was extremely juicy and tender. I expected 5-6 wings with a price so low, but I got 10 wings! definitely bang for your buck! eating those two had me so stuffed, and I definitely would come back here when I want some warm comfort food. four stars bc the pho needed some help but everything else was great! I had an appointment at the Temple Hospital. I was fasting for 12 hours and looking for a decent meal after the appointment. I was so glad to trust other people's review! This is new place so there were only 2 reviews. I ordered an Eggroll Vermicelli and Vietnamese espresso. They were so good!!! I forgot to take pictures because I was too hungry... I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants in NY and Philly and this place is probably in my top 3 (including tastes, staff, prices, clean). I need to go back to try their pho! We've visited a couple times and had takeout once, it was always good. Hard to find tasty Vietnamese food so far away from South Philly so we're grateful to have this place. BBQ plates are generous and tasty. The pho is especially good-- broth is beefy and complex, noodles aren't over cooked, and they are generous with the toppings. If you're craving chicken wings, those are really good too! They also have smoothies and fruit juices. I recommend the watermelon juice. All the prices are affordable and fair. They have a pretty big delivery radius, but it's nice to stop in and see the people working there-- they care a lot about customer service and the interior is clean and comfortable. Giving 3 stars because we enjoyed the deluxe beef pho, but the other two items we ordered were incredibly disappointing. The fried chicken wings tasted exactly like wing dings - not what we were hoping for. We also ordered the chicken pho, which had a terrible broth. It tasted like nothing but star anise and I usually drink all the broth from my pho, but this was so unpleasant that I completely avoided eating it and just went for the noodles. Those were a good texture at least. Hope this place can get better quality food and succeed, but at this point I don't think I'd come back just based on that chicken broth! read more

Ordered delivery from here tonight while staying with my son at Shriner's Hospital. The Shrimp Pho (tail-on but deveined) and Bubble Tea were exactly what I was craving! Perfectly packaged for takeout with separate containers for broth (a full quart) plus Thai basil, lime, sprouts & chiles in a baggie. Went to pho Don for lunch during a weekday. Initial impressions were excellent- the space was clean, well lit, and was obvious the owners put a lot of pride into the restaurant. The menu covers the standard Vietnamese food with pho, bun, and bahn mi. We went with the bbq pork bun and banh mi. Service was super quick, but you could tell everything was fresh. Both of the dishes were amazing- you could really taste the individual components and fee the crunch of the veggies. We also used the condiments- all of them were clearly new bc the peppers and the sriacha sauce were super hot. In my mind that is a clear sign the owners know their stuff. Highly recommended- I only wish grub hub would deliver their food further south! read more

This is a great Vietnamese restaurant located near Temple hospital. They offer take out and dine-in options. Generous portions and it's not too expensive. They're extremely welcoming and make great recommendations. I was looking for a place to grab food while I was visiting someone at nearby Temple Hospital and the options are limited. They have the most amazing vegan fish with rice! It tastes so close to actual fish. The watermelon juice and espresso are also amazing!

Stopped by here after getting my nails done a few doors down. I heard them talking about pho, & even though it's almost 90 degrees, I had to get my fave, shrimp pho takeout. It's SO good. Broth is tasty and shrimp were nicely cooked. Really like how they packaged the takeout. The noodles, fresh onions and herbs are in a nice big bowl to add the broth to, and the accents (lime, fresh basil, bean sprouts & hot & hoisin sauces) are all in a separate baggie. Most other places I've gotten pho takeout from expect you to use that tall container that's super awkward to eat from. I saw they have vegan options too.
