The restaurant is cross street of my hotel, and they are the very few restaurants that open late (most of restaurants or businesses in Canada close early). We ordered one pho, one rice dish and fried banana with ice cream. The pho and rice both good, the fried banana tastes like frozen banana instead of fresh banana.

Great place for soups and Vietnamese food. Their food has a great flavour and it came as a big portion. The service is fast and friendly.

This guy sat down and did nothing for a awhile. Rude as well

Wouldn't come here again because the fact the waitress didn't even say hello to us. The food wasn't the best and No body does anything there

https://www.instagram.com/vanleo.eatsfood1015/ I have been here several times ever since they opened once upon a time - it's awesome that they have a large menu and are opened until 1-2AM - I used to really enjoy their different Pho offerings - as I found the broth clear but tasty and filled with proteins - but over time the quality seemed to decline , and you begin to see less protein , the and soup base begin to taste salty. So I tried out their vermicelli bowl - and it was mediocre at best - the meat was so hit and miss - some pieces were tasty and soft , while others seemed to be tough and old - not even sure if the meat was from the same batch? Spring roll filling was disappointing - didn't taste fresh , however it was still super crispy so that's a plus ! Not sure when my next visit will be , as I'm afraid of being further disappointed , especially with competition in the 5KM radius pretty tight in the Pho category - but if you're in the area it's worth a try still !

The good thing about this place is that it is open till late like 1-2 am. Perfect place for midnight supper. I have been here several times over the years and found the food to be quite standard. It is not mind blowing nor is it terrible. It is decent. The prices have also gone up over the years. Fortunately they did not stint on the ingredients with a price increase. The small is now $13.50 for a basic pho and there are lots of meat in it. I could not finish it despite the tiny looking bowl. I have tried a few types of pho here and nothing stands out for me. Service is ok. You pay at the cashier though at the end of the meal. Parking is available in the lot or on the streets.

It took a while before the server took our order. I had their vermicelli and rice dishes before and didn't really care for them. But their bun bo hue was delicious. Cant complain about the abundance of meats and thick vermicelli noodles and low on msg. My gf had the chicken pho and it was just grilled chicken with pho which was weird since it looked like they used the grilled lemongrass chicken from rice/vermicelli dishes. My bf had the spicy peanut sate soup and they weren't kidding it was spicy but still thinks their bbh is better.

All i can say is that this place Is average at best! Its just conveniently Located at the crossroads of van and burnaby, but foodwise...average at best. Tried their phos and the soup lacked the PHO flavour. Tasted very light. Also had the salad roll but forgot to take a pict. Interestingly, their shrimp salad roll came with viet ham. Most places just put shirmp. Good side is the beef was tender and plentiful. And the prices were relatively cheaper than most places. Service was quick and efficient. The most negative part of the review was the cleanliness of the restaurant. On the floor were strands of noodles and dirt and even a dirty fork leftover from Previous diners. The staff did not even bother to clean after every service. If they are lazy doing their job on the dining floor, imagine the kitchen! Lol. I would not repeat for sure. Cheers! Happy eating!

Had a late dinner at this place after watching a concert at PNE with group of friends and our experienced was good. The place was very busy at 11pm but we still got seated right away. The place was short staffed and order taking and serving of food took for over 30 mins. The food was great and the soup of Pho was very tasty. The Spring Roll was meaty and very tasty. Will definitely go back here.

My absolute go to for Pho if I'm craving for Vietnamese late as they are open everyday of the week from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM. Restaurant has been given a facelift recently with new wall tiling and upgraded lights to give a near contemporary ambiance. Me and a friend almost always start off with their appetizer item #1 Crispy Spring Rolls (2 rolls). Not the best in town but I would consider above average in taste and portion size. Their Pho is where they shine as I ordered item #50 Hot & Sour Seafood Noodle Soup and he ordered item #52 Hue Spicy Beef, Boneless Pork Hock, Ham in Vermicelli Soup. Both bowls offered a nice rich beef broth flavor soup and ingredients were plentiful. I recommend going for the large over the small bowl size as the average $1 difference in price is definitely worth it to achieve satiety. Aside from our two choices I also recommend item #54 Fish Cake and Vermicelli Soup. Our two waitresses were friendly and our food came out really fast. Free parking is abundant in the strip mall and on East Hastings Street. Definitely looking forward to be back to try out their Com dishes.

Nice spot. Seems like a local favorite. This is my second visit. First time my date and I had the Pho with rare beef, salad roll and spring rolls. This evening my guy ordered #24 which is a pork, chicken, beef fried noodles dish, and I had the #12 beef spicy satay with vermicelli noodles The noodles were good. My beef satay was a little salty. I am allergic to MSG and forgot to mention it. My bad. It does not impact my review rating. The plane seems ok. Service slow. Casual atmosphere. Seems popular and they see a good flow of business. The pho was good. Salad roll ok. Both visits my dates were happy & enjoyed their meals. It's ok. I would have given it a 3 but both visits my dates said 4 so I'm posting a 4 star for that reason.

Love this pho / Vietnamese spot. Extensive menu and they're open late. Service is normally good. My go to orders are the chicken lemongrass pho and the house beef, both are great options - there's some great side dishes available too.

They also have a bar area. Kind of an Asian French fusion menu. Food dishes were good and creative, but it didn't really appeal to me. I appreciated the good service and chill atmosphere, but not sure if I would come back. I would say that their house made spicy was really good. A mix of sweet, sour, and spicy. Had a brightness to it yet also very, very spicy. Tastes great on many of the dishes, especially if you wanted a nice "kick" to the food. I believe you can order a jar to take home if you wish.

The space is much nicer, with high ceilings and lots of light - great looking bistro. I ended up trying the following: - Mussels: Very good. Classic dish, but I really like the use of cream in the broth. - Bánh Mì Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Baguette Sticks): Good. A nice little snack, although it would be easy to recreate at home. - Lamb Chops: Very good. Cooked just right, and the pepper sauce added extra flavour. - Fried Frog Legs: Very good. This was probably the surprise dish for me. They weren't just the legs, but the entire bottom of the frog, so the pieces were huge. The garlic, butter and chili flakes gave it a extra punch. I really enjoyed this one. - Pho Bo: Good. Not the best pho I've had, but it's good enough to stand on it's own. Service was quite good. Very cheerful and quite attentive. Overall a nice meal. It's a great space, the food is solid, and service to match. What I really like is having the variety of both French and Vietnamese dishes, without either of them suffering in quality. Only downside is that is it expensive for what you get.

Went in for lunch with my granddaughter, both of us fans of Vietnamese food. Ordered Green Papaya Salad ($12), Lemongrass Chicken on Vermicelli with one spring roll ($17), one lime soda ($6.50) and one pop ($3). Food arrived within minutes of ordering. Portions were very generous. The salad was perfect with everything very fresh, as it should be but often isn't in some places. Plump prawns and the scent and taste of basil was prominent. Delicious! The lemongrass chicken (we ordered extra chicken) with a spring roll was also very generous. We did not finish it between the two of us. Again, all was fresh, tasty and hot. This is one of our standard orders and Pho Goodness did not disappoint. Granddaughter declared it better than at our regular favourite, and Pho Goodness is around the corner from her home and not a bus ride out to Kingsway! Service was friendly and responsive. We asked that the volume be turned off on the massive TV over our heads (which nobody was watching) (it was), requested a glass for the pop and immediately received a tumbler full of ice. Lovely. We have found a new favourite on Davie Street, a true foodie heaven with a collection of independent restaurants of many ethnicities available. We will return to Pho Goodness when the urge for Vietnamese food strikes again.

The Garden Rolls were absolutely the #1 worst ones we've ever eaten! We've had hundreds of fresh rolls at dozens of places and sadly, none were as tasteless as these. They consisted of noodles, a bit of flavorless tofu and cucumber. Fresh rolls MUST have at least one or more of the following: fresh mint, fresh cilantro or fresh Thai Basil. Hestia's had NONE!. To add insult to injury, the watery sauce also had NO flavor. To add more insult, they were baggy and poorly wrapped and the innards kept falling out. Not fun and definitely not good. The king oyster mushrooms were very good, but there was a ton of pink mayo dousing it. I would have preferred the sauce be in a separate bowl so we could choose how much dipping we'd like to do. The saffron tofu bowl was sensational! Perfectly spiced and full of a huge variety of well-cooked veggies plus the saffron rice was good too. No one came during our meal to ask if we needed anything or to ask how our meal was. The customer service is in need of some work.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant. The veggies were overcooked, but plentiful and nicely chosen. Decent place for veggie pho.
