Wish I knew there was a pho spot near by sooner! Typically I avoid ordering from vietnamese places since we cook at home and it's a hit or miss. Would have helped with cravings during covid as well since there's speedy delivery. And it delivered in taste. Our favorite place for rainy day pho. It's local. The food is consistently good. Be sure to ask for hot sauce if it is not already on the table. The service is excellent. The rare times they have made a minor mistake or have made me wait for take-out, they have compensated me with an extra drink or other menu item. Ambiance is great. read more

First time ordering from Pho Duong. Coming from NYC, I've tasted the best pho in various restaurants and thought I'd never find a place comparable but Pho Duong proved me wrong! (Which I'm very thankful for.) First off, take out is usually never as good as fine in but their pho was amazing! We ordered #18a- House Special Beef Noodle Soup. The broth was deeeeeliciou! And they were generous with their noodles, sprout, and basil. We also got Grilled Porkchop which was very flavorful. Spring rolls were huge! And their chicken wings were excellent also. So disappointed that the Burke location will not make vegetarian summer rolls. We have shellfish allergies in our house, and while we love the pho, chicken and noodle dishes, it was just so disappointing. First time trying pho and it did not disappoint. The place is clean and quiet, staff is friendly, and speed of service is excellent. I ordered a small well-done brisket pho, served with nice and crispy bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and limes. The noodles were light, broth was warm and yummy. A couple things I will keep in mind on my next visit: 1. the difference in sizes is not huge, I couldn't even tell between a large and a small. Stick with a small, as it is plenty of food. 2. The brisket lacked some flavor, therefore I will be trying a different meat choice. 3. One togo container is enough for both me and my significant other's leftovers. The space is really small and if you come during busy hours you may have to sit next to strangers but it's not bad. It gives off the local Asian night market feel where you sit where you can. The food is so good!! Their menu blew my mind. I had not seen half the items at most pho places. I loved the variety of options and it gave me a chance to branch out. Set aside our COVID fears tonight and got some delicious take out from this little Vietnamese spot in Burke. We had apps, and four entrees and they were all wonderful. This place is AWESOME!!!! I tried them for the first time today and had the 7a - Beef Soup, Chicken Pho with extra noodles. I don't give 5 stars often but this was outstanding. The flavor of the spicy beef broth was fantastic, the sausage was great, the beef had a little fat and amazing flavor. Not dry! The chicken breast used was moist. The noodles weren't overcooked and they have noodle Options. I will be back and to know they deliver is excited plus I want to try their Thai Tea. Lastly, they are priced well. read more

If you have allergies, beware! Especially if you have a peanut allergy. Friend I was with has a sever peanut allergy. We told them repeatedly. Peanuts showed up on the meal. We sent it back after again telling them she has a sever peanut allergy. When the vermicelli bowl came back it looked like they just brushed the crushed peanuts off. We asked again, and was assured "it's good". We ended up in the ER to treat her anaphylaxis shock. Flavor wise: the food was indeed tasty when not killing my friend. read more

Came here for lunch. Vietnamese food is one of my preferred choices to eat. This was my first time eating here. The waiter was responsive and friendly. I ordered the Com Thit Nuong (pork over rice). I did notice that on the menu you can order a side of Cha Gio(spring rolls) for only $1.95 for one as opposed to $4.95 for two. I proceeded to take the cheaper option and get the 2 singles for $1.95 ea, saving me $1.05, lol. He pointed out that on the menu I can order the $4.95 cha gio for two of them. I informed him I understood but I'd prefer to get two of them for $1.95. I really am not cheap and love paying more for quality but I wanted to see if he would honor the order I presented him with. After some banter back and forth about the appetizer vs extra side pricing he resolved that I had a good point. Lol. This was a fun exchange and I giggled a little as he walked away defeated some. Again just trying to see if he'd honor it. While i was eating my food i overheard the waiter and owner talking about the price difference on the menu that i caught, that would save me money. Besides the food being absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection this exchange was all I was able to really think about in anticipation to seeing the bill. As I finished up the extremely generous portion of pork they used (most places use half their portions) and the rest of my food, I walked up to see the moment of truth. Well it wasn't $1.95 they marked it at $2 exactly for each one, so I saved $.95 instead of $1.05. I gave them the extra $.10 and was on my way. Our family just got takeout from this restaurant. Obviously it's takeout, because were in the middle of that epidemic. Anyway, I am pleased to report that our appetizers ( spring rolls and summer rolls) and are four entrées all were top-notch! Plus, on top of that, the nice gentleman at the counter threw in some extra spring rolls. I will say that our family is a little bit leery right now where we get our takeout.We felt like we might be taking a chance but we were relieved to see how sparkling clean the restaurant was. This restaurant has great food. We are only in Burke for a short period of time a few times a year so we have narrowed our restaurant choices. No use eating food we would not order again. Not driving far is also a priority. We have ordered three times in the last two weeks. Love the summer rolls. Our son loves all the soups. It's worth ordering extras to reheat. I love this place. When it first opened (forgot if it was before the pandemic or just the start) one of the workers was so kind enough to give me a free soda on a to-go order. The quality of their pho is very good, always hits the spot. However, every time I dine in, I notice their spoons (the bottom) are dirty and stained. I always go through the stacks of their spoons and find a clean one. That is my only complaint but other than that, the food and service are excellent. September 11, 2021 I felt under the weather and I ordered Pho Duong Dac Biet takeout. It was around 18:00 hours. The manager on duty was extremely rude. First he claimed that the order was not put at the right location. Then he said it was already been picked up. When I asked him to check if the bag sitting at the corner was mine, he raised his voice and said, "No" while some customers turned to look at us. Finally a younger guy came from behind the counter and confirmed, that the bag sitting there the entire time was my order. I am sure his reaction was based on my race, but I refused to react as ignorant as he is. By that time, the soup was cold and I was already got mad and frustrated so I walked out. It is people like this person, who create dislikes among people and mess up businesses. read more

We've been here twice now and enjoyed both visits. The pork vermicelli/bun was delicious and it was a generous portion for the price. It was a little spicer than you would normally get. I think the separate sauce had a decent amount of chili. My husband loved that but I might ask for something less spicy next time. Second visit we had the special on the pho. I ordered through Uber Eats, and Uber really dropped the ball, but Jim, more than made up for it. He apologized profusely for the delay, even though it was Uber's fault. He stayed, even though the restaurant had closed over a half hour prior. And even offered to drop off the order himself if Uber canceled the order. Went there today around 4:30 pm. Ordered 1 large plain noodles soup with no vegetables (I asked the waitress specifically to not put vegetables, only broth and noodles). They brought it back with onions, cilantro, etc. Very nicely, I told the server that I ordered with no veggies, he said no problem and took my soup back. He came back after few minutes with the same soup ; they had scooped out the veggies. The broth had become so murky and pieces of cilantro were still floating on the broth. I told him immediately that I knew it was the same soup, he denied it. Not only is ridiculous to bring back the same soup, but to lie about it it's just disrespectful. They don't care about their customers. I won't be back. read more

This was by far some of the worst food I've ever had. It was inedible. I ordered pork and vermicelli. Nice grilled pork, right? Wrong! The meat was slimy and tasteless. My daughter ordered pho and there were pieces of fat in the soup. Usually the meat is somewhat fatty. But there were chunks of gristle. The spring rolls should have been a clue. They were rubbery. The fried rolls were mushy inside. Even the Thai tea was bitter. To top it off, the waiter spilled fish sauce. He used some sort of ammonia-based industrial cleaner that made my daughter and me light-headed for several hours afterwards. And It was expensive! $60! My kids said I should not have paid.
