I ordered the #1 which had basically all the different cuts of meat in it and thought they were all solid. The broth was good, not my favorite but I could appreciate the flavors and I did not need to drown it in hoisin and sriracha. The portion size is huge! It's hard to make a vegetarian version of a beef based soup but this Bun Bo Hue Chay was pretty freaking good! But if you're looking to venture out and try some other dishes other than Pho, I Highly recommend the following: BUN BO HUE - spicy, lemongrass noodle soup with slices of beef and pork hock. (remember to squeeze some lime into the broth!) BO KHO - beef stew with chunks of soft, braised beef and carrots. You can order this with noodles or bread. I took one sip of the broth and almost cried from how good it was. BO LUC LAC (SHAKING BEEF) - tender, caramelized beef chunks served with a side of rice, veggies, and a dipping sauce. WONTON SOUP APPETIZER - the wontons are very strongly shrimp flavored which isn't my favorite. But I'm listing it here because the broth is SO good. Has so much depth of flavor. The other OG is Pho 95 so try both and compare. We were in town and craved for good Vietnamese food. We ordered bun bo hue, com suon and goi cuon son. The pork chop in the con suon was good. The rice itself was a bit wet. We did like the goi cuon's pork slices but the sauce was a bit underwhelming. It was a basically a water down version of hoisin sauce. Bun bo hue is my favorite Vietnamese food so I'm very critical about it. Pho Duy did a good job of having all the ingredients and garnish for it. However, they felt short on the broth flavor. The blood sausage was either too old or overcooked. You always want the blood sausage to have the same texture as the tofu. That's how you knew it was fresh and not over cooked. So far my favorite Pho place in Colorado. My brother in law loves pho and asked around for the best pho place. He found Pho Duy and it is by far the best. The broth is delicious and not too oily or salty. I like how the bowls come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large. We also ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich. SO. GOOD. The bread has a perfect crisp to it, makes the base of the sandwich perfect. The flavoring of the pork is just the right amount where it compliments all the other ingredients inside the sandwich. Highly recommend this restaurant! I ordered the cha gio (Vietnamese egg rolls) and the #1 pho. Both were delicious! The cha gio had perfectly blistered fried skin and came with lots of goodies on the side (noodles, vegetables, lettuce). The pho was delicious and not only was the broth really tasty, it had some of the best brisket I've ever had. The brisket was cut a lot thicker than I'm used to, but it was so tender. The most tender. The BEST brisket I've ever had in pho. I was worried when I left the Bay Area that it would be challenging to find really good Asian food, but I've been pleasantly surprised...the food in Denver - especially, the Asian restaurants on Federal Blvd - has been AWESOME. The broth they make has the best flavor and if you aren't a fan of the soup they have tons of other delicious options. I was visiting Denver and was told that apparently Colorado has the best pho in the country and that this is the best pho place in Denver. I live in Philadelphia where there is like a great pho shop in almost every corner so coming from my head I was like, Okay yeah yeah we will see. Let me tell you- this was... the BEST PHO i have EVER tried. I knew the minute I picked up our takeout that it was going to be absolutely delicious and that I was going to destroy the entire thing. Why? Because when I picked it up, not only did they package it up in ginormous containers made to feed a whole hungry family, the delicous aroma of the pho broth was so strong that it filled up the car on the ride back. They packaged up everything efficiently, with legit enough food to feed a family like I said. Not only that, I really could not get enough of the pho. Because it was so big, I made myself a one small bowl to eat and left the rest as leftovers. But guess what? I ended up eating the remainder, which was another two bowls, in the same sitting. I'm not kidding... it was that good. I think what makes a great pho is most definitely the broth, and this was by far the best soup broth I have ever tasted and smelled. I am so sad to be back home now because I am not dreaming about Pho Duy's pho thousands of miles away. I might just have to move to Denver to get a taste of this pho as often as I can. read more

This place is super crowded even around closing time. However, the turn around time is very quick and you'll be seated faster than you expect. Onto the food! I got the large sized pho and they weren't messing around with the portions. This is definitely a KO size so beware if you want to order other dishes. The food took longer than expected to come out but looked amazing. The first sip of the broth tasted super flavorful but it wasn't as deep as I expected. The noodles however were super pleasant. It was nice and chewy. The broth wasn't too salty and leaned slightly on the sweet side. The ambience is solid with some nice Vietnamese background music and simple decor. I liked this place! There's a parking lot right next to it. It wasn't that busy since we were eating dinner fairly early and we were greeted and sat right away. Our server came by and gave us waters and dropped off the pho add-ins (bean sprouts, Thai basil, etc) assuming we were getting pho. I wanted to come here for the Bo Kho which I didn't see at many of the other Viet restaurants. You get the option of getting noodles in it or bread. I opted for the bread. My mom asked for her soup to be made with chicken broth which was nice that she had that option (instead of beef broth) and she also asked to have her bean sprouts cooked beforehand. Which they also accommodated. We also started with egg rolls. It came with many things to eat it with and dipping sauce. The shell was nice and crispy. Very good. My bo Kho (spicy beef stew) came. It had lots of big chunks of beef. And was a good level of spicy. The bread wasn't that great. I was hoping for a proper baguette versus a bread loaf they use to make banh mi. We enjoyed our food. The portions are MASSIVE for a large bowl ($18), with the meat serving being particularly large as well making the price point a good value. The care with the takeout was also noted with everything neatly packaged and placed in a large carrying box.
