    The amazing bread
    Arturo M.

If you're in the South corner of San Jose and want some good Vietnamese food at an even better price, this might be your spot! The food was perfect for the rainy day weather. Not many people inside when we arrived so we were attended quickly and the food came out warm and ready for us to enjoy. The beef pho had a deeply beefy and earthy broth with a set of deep and rich umami notes. The chicken curry was a little more soup like than I had expected, I had wished there was a better emulsion between the coconut milk and the broth but nonetheless it was pretty good! It had a nice little kick with some good lemongrass notes shining thru. The vegetables were a little to mushy for my liking but it didn't bother me too much. Now the most surprising food item, the diamond in the rough, had to be the bread. Perfectly crunchy on the outside yet warm and moist in the inside. I'll have to come back and try a Banh mi because the bread was amazing! A quaint little strip mall restaurant, simple and causal, with no frills Vietnamese culinary standards.

I've tried a lot of the pho in the area, and this one is good, not the best, the flavor is almost like salt water with spice, not too rich, and the popcorn chicken is not like previous pictures, too dry and flavorless. I gave the three stars because the food wasn't terrible, and the workers were kind. Very small maybe a mom and pop shop, I'll come back to try other food on the menu, and in SJ this place is one of the cheapest pho around.

Quaint little restaurant in a strip mall with outdated menus displayed in the window. Highly recommend them to reflect the correct prices as indicated inside. Also, it may be more appealing to the customer to remove some of the menus and other papers from the cluttered window. We were pleasantly welcomed. Three of the six tables were filled with customers enjoying their lunch. We ordered Banh mi thit bo nuong ( beef sandwich) and Banh mi thit heo nuong (pork sandwich). Both Sandos had fresh bread and veggies. The meat was sparse but tasty. The sandwiches had the perfect crunch and zip for the pallet to enjoy. We're excited to try the Pho and Smoothies. Highly recommend.

Fast forward to getting my food. Imagine my delight when she places a small bowl of green onions, cilantro, and onions on the side for the garnish... because she just knew that my kid HATES these things in his noodles and needs me to pick them out for him... That is top tier service. I always love coming here. But I just had to share this story for all the parents out there looking for a family friendly restaurant.

I can't believe this little gem has been in my neighborhood and I haven't come here in the six…read moreyears that I've lived here! I'm honestly kicking myself for not trying it sooner. First off, the menu is massive--and I mean that in the best way possible. From a wide variety of appetizers and fresh salads to seven different bánh mì sandwiches (served with chips and a drink), the options just keep going. They also offer 19 different beef noodle soups and over 40 rice plates; additionally, there are vermicelli, fried rice, and vegetarian dishes. I haven't seen a Vietnamese restaurant with this much variety before--it was almost overwhelming trying to decide what to order! But let's talk about the real standout: the pho. Hands-down, this is the best soup broth for noodles that I've had. It was rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned--I didn't need to add any hoisin, sriracha, or anything else. It was that good on its own. When my pho arrived, I noticed the noodles were served in what I can only describe as a "noodle ball." It looked like a compact bundle at first, but as I stirred it into the broth, it loosened and spread out beautifully. Such a small detail, but it made the experience feel unique. I did ask for the spicy sauces on the side, but honestly, I didn't even need them. The soup was so flavorful on its own that I just enjoyed it as is. I'm still amazed I haven't been here until now. The only downside? Even though they have AC, the restaurant still felt pretty warm--especially on a hot day. Needless to say, I was sweating while eating my hot bowl of pho. Not ideal, but honestly, the food made up for it. Another thing that caught my attention was the restroom signage--it actually made me laugh out loud. Little touches like that add personality to the place. The service was quick, and the décor had an eclectic yet culturally on-point vibe that really worked. With a menu this big, there are so many things I want to try next--so I will absolutely be coming back. TIP: Come hungry, dress light on warm days, and take your time with the menu--you'll definitely be back to try more. 4/11/26: ate here again and it did not disappoint.

We came the last 10 minutes of closing, but the workers were so friendly and still let us order for takeout. We both got the gyro plates with lamb and beef. My boyfriend had to ask for extra because he loves it so much. The lamb and beef were tender with flavorful and the portions here are generous.
