I recently ordered catering items from SJ Eggrolls for a birthday party I was hosting, and it was sooo delicious! I ordered a tray of 20 nem nuong rolls and 40 pieces of their banh khot. Both items were so generous and actually fairly large! It also came with a side of their orange sauce for the rolls and fish sauce, veggies/herbs, and chilies on the side for guests who love spicy. Definitely larger portions and super affordable. We picked up the items 30 mins before our party started, and they were still fresh and crispy throughout the whole night! I was expecting the banh khot to get soggy/be soggy but it held up very nicely. I love the way they packaged everything and would 100% recommend for those who need easy finger food for their parties. Also ordering from them was very easy. I did it online a week in advance and they texted me at exactly 530p to let me know it was ready for pickup. Can't even tell you how many times I've been here! This is my go to spot for lunch and dinner takeout and what I bring to every party. The place is clean, prices are great, food is wonderful, service is quick and efficient if you order in advance enough. I recommend ordering online or calling ahead because they do get pretty busy. It's a small restaurant primarily specializing in take out and catering, that's why they are open so early and close a bit on the earlier side too. I haven't had anything here that I didn't like. Banh Khot is the best I've had, it's insanely crispy and flavorful. The fish sauce is just the way I like it and the veggies are so fresh. It remains crispy even if it's been sitting for a bit (as long as you air it out) and if you reheat it in the air fryer, it's still crisp! The net egg rolls or regular are wonderfully crispy and flavorful. The nem nuong is the best I've had, just like the OG spot in SoCal. The garlic noodles are so chewy and garlicky in the best way. I first heard about this place after seeing Raina post about a food challenge she did here. The crispy egg rolls looked so good that I had to check it out. I was especially hoping the spring rolls would be similar to the ones I love from Brodard in Southern California, so I came in with my fingers crossed. They have some nice combo deals, but I wanted to sample a few different items instead. I ordered one of each of the fried egg rolls (only $2 each) and originally ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls. While I was waiting, I changed my mind and decided I wanted to try the Nem Nuong rolls instead. They were incredibly nice and changed my order without any issues, which I really appreciated. The place was extremely busy, so I ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The net-wrapped egg roll was excellent, super crispy with great flavor. Just be sure to eat it over a plate or with a bag underneath because those crunchy flakes go everywhere! The regular egg roll was slimmer than I expected, but it was also very tasty. The Nem Nuong rolls were good too. They didn't quite reach the level I was hoping for compared to Brodard, but they were still very enjoyable. The house dipping sauce was delicious and really complemented the rolls. They also include a small container of hot sauce for anyone who likes a little spice. I tried it, but honestly preferred sticking with the house sauce. The restaurant itself is small and simple, with only about three tables, so it seems like it's geared more toward takeout, which was obvious from the steady stream of takeout orders while I was there. Next time, I'll probably call my order in ahead of time to save some waiting. Overall, a great spot for Vietnamese appetizers at reasonable prices. Finding good banh khot in the area is difficult lol. I've heard so much about SJ Eggrolls so I was excited to try them out for the first time! I read up on some reviews before coming in and learned there could be a long wait, so I ended up calling in ~30 minutes before I planned on getting there. I was particularly excited about the Banh Khot and netted eggrolls the most, but they mentioned that the eggrolls were unfortunately sold out that day (we came in around lunchtime on a weekend) We ordered the banh khot and garlic shrimp noodles and ate them at home, and both were delicious!! The banh khot was warm and crunchy. I love when you can taste hints of coconut and when the garlic is suuuper strong lol The garlic noodles were alright tbh. The noodles were a little hard but the shrimp was cooked perfectly! They're definitely meant to be more of a takeout spot. They were pushing out party trays like crayyyy when we were there. A great deal with tasty food! I visited on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was surprisingly busy. The interior is spacious but only has a couple tables. We waited for a bit, and a table opened up shortly after. You place your order with the cashier before finding a seat. The atmosphere of SJ Eggrolls is casual, with a huge TV playing sports and minimal decor. The food arrived soon after I ordered. Their signature net egg rolls are phenomenal. I am obsessed with the crunchy net wrapping - it was the perfect crispy texture. The filling of pork and shrimp was savory and delicious. It paired well with lettuce, mint, pickled carrots, and a sweet chili sauce. I loved the spring rolls as well. They tasted super fresh and had a variety of fillings. The Chinese sausage spring roll was my absolute favorite. The salty sausage contrasted well against the clean, fresh vegetables. Every dish was a very good price. Only tried this place once and it has been on my mind ever since. Generally, people come here for the netted eggrolls but in my opinion, it ain't all that. What I LOVE from SJ Eggrolls is the garlic noodles with the garlic butter shrimp. IT SO DELICIOUS! One of the best garlic noodles I've ever had and the shrimp was tasty. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the shell was soft to eat. Another item I love here is the banh khot! So crispy, fresh, and fried well. Very limited seating, this is more of a take out spot. Ordered online from their website and walked in to pick it up. It was a bit of a wait on a Friday morning which was surprising but great to know the food is coming out fresh. I arrived about 10 minutes prior to my estimated pickup time and the egg rolls (netted and regular) were ready but the Banh Khot were still being cooked. The estimated pickup time on the website was pretty accurate. Everything made the 35 minute journey home and stayed crispy!! The regular egg rolls were tasty but nothing special. The netted egg rolls however, I'd come back for. They were crispy all throughout and the filling was well seasoned. The Banh Khot were very crispy with a nice and pleasant chew from the coconut batter. My husband loved the flavor and texture. Review strictly regarding the eggrolls. Eggrolls are good. The crunch factor stays consistent even hours after purchase. Filling is good, though I am naturally a fan of taro. Ingredients are fresh but could I say SJ Eggrolls are better than King Eggroll??? Not exactly. It's kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, they are all eggrolls but the fillings are polar opposites and one place provides sweet n sour sauce [bomb af might I add] vs the other offering nuoc mam. I had the pleasure of trying both the regular and the netted version. The regular can be eaten as is but the netted version contains a thick outer casing that requires some kind of sauce to avoid it from coming off bland IMO. Although I'm a diehard King Eggroll girl (raised in Berryessa, that's why), i'm always down to sample contenders. Love that the egg rolls here are fried to order and that they offer one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, banh khot. Both came with generous amounts of veggies, pickled veggies, and nuac cham, all thoughtfully, beautifully packaged. The banh khot are light with crispy edges (some of the best I've had) and the eggrolls feature traditional filling with pork and taro. I highly recommend order online in advance as the wait can be about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving, the inside was packed with people waiting for their orders. I ordered the 6 eggrolls and asked for 3 regular eggrolls and 3 netted eggrolls so that I could try both. The eggrolls come with veggies (lettuce, mint, and cilantro). It also came with pickled veggies and fish sauce. I also ordered 4 of their nem nuong as not every Vietnamese spot offers this type of spring roll. These have grilled pork in them rather than pork and shrimp. It comes with its own sauce which I'm not sure what its made of. The nem nuong were delicious with the grilled pork and there is a crispy component inside, too. They taste fresh and the sauce is tangy. I like the addition of the small chili sauce they give you on the side. The real show stoppers have to be the eggrolls though. They are perfectly crispy and filled with delicious pork filling. The veggies they provide are really fresh and the pickled veggies helps to add more depth. The eggrolls themselves don't feel too heavy or oily either which I really appreciated. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly when I was picking up. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot and can imagine how their party trays must be a big hit! read more

Finally tried this very popular place, we went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was really busy. Not a lot of seating and was set up for take out. We wanted to try everything to see what to order for a party. We asked the staff how long in advance to order for a party, they mentioned at least two days in advance. The food was really good. Been craving for banh khot for the longest time and finally a well worthy spot to get some. they are freshly made to order, crispy as it should be and are not small like the usual sizes you get at other places. you get 8 pieces of banh khot with some herbs and lettuce for a wrap. they also provide you with pickled carrots and daikon and nước chấm as well. all this roughly around $14. we also ordered their goi cuon (spring rolls) with shrimp and pork, which comes with their house dipping sauce. we ordered two sets of 5 spring rolls. which is about $15 pe set of 5. all delicious and will definitely be coming back again. the service here was pretty quick. When i just barely ordered my food, the wait time wasn't bad. it took about 15 minutes. service was very friendly and they made it very inviting to come in. the place was pretty neat and clean. it is located near where Sprouts market is, but in the back end near Little Ceasar's pizza. I was so excited to try all the things here because I'd been eyeing some fresh egg rolls & Viet food for a while now for date night. The hubby and I placed our order & we picked up on a Friday night to bring back home. It was not too busy & they had our food ready pretty immediately. I had to save the print rolls for the next day, but I enjoyed them (though, I know they were probably perfect the same day.) I just couldn't make room for all that food. I think the one surprising disappoint for me were the garlic noodles. I expected more of a kick and generally more flavor from the noodles, but they ended up being relatively mild. 5-stars for the pork and shrimp eggrolls: Specialty: Chả Giò (egg rolls) and Chả Giò Rế (netted egg rolls). I love a good eggroll and first time having a woven-rice noodle (Bánh hỏi") used as a wrapper with pork and shrimp filling, deep fried and served with lettuce and Đồ Chua (Vietnamese pickled, shredded carrots and daikon). Chả Giò Rế (netted egg rolls) were extra crispy and a sharp contrast to the soft filling and travelled well after 40-min traffic to devour at home. I also tried the pork vermicelli bowl and was okay....ill definitely stick their specialty of Vietnamese egg rolls! We finally got to try SJ Eggrolls! They close at 6pm or 7PM(Fri/Sat), so this is more of a lunch/early dinner place. The inside is bright, clean, and modern. We ordered: - Fresh Sugarcane with Kumquat: I could see the girl make the sugarcane juice fresh from a machine--super refreshing - Banh Khot Plate: yummy palm-sized pancakes with a shrimp and roe on top. This was yummy and easy to eat. - Eggroll Plate: I got 5 net and 1 regular eggroll to try both. My favorite was the net eggroll! If you wrap the lettuce around the net eggroll the outside doesn't fall as much. Dip it in the fish sauce and it's soo good! Everything came out piping hot and fresh.
