There was a bit of a wait even though we arrived around 8 PM, but honestly, that just showed us how popular the place is. The food was definitely worth waiting for! We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices. With food costs and eating out being so expensive lately, it was nice to find a restaurant with really good food at very reasonable prices. If you are planning to try this restaurant out, I'd highly recommend a weekday and avoid the weekend (unless you like waiting in long lines surrounded by cigarette smoke). Overall, the environment was very loud, overwhelming, and smoke everywhere you walked on the outside. As for the food, I had the Bun Bo Hue, Banh Xeo, and Banh Ram It. I enjoyed the BBH, as it was pretty flavorful. However, I was disappointed when the tables did not have extra spices and sauces that I could utilize to add into my food. The Banh Xeo was pretty filling. One downside of that experience was that the nuoc mam tasted very diluted and lacking flavor. And for the Banh ram it, it was okay. I was expecting it to be crunchy, but it was more of a mochi texture than anything. It was definitely a one time experience for me. Tried this place once and I don't think I'll be back. read more

Arrived here at 1pm on a Saturday, we had to write our name and party size down on the clipboard and there was a wait of about 5 parties before us. The wait wasn't terribly long. It's quite packed inside and the tables were all pretty close together to others. It was hard to find parking in this plaza. I was excited to try their Banh It Ram and the price($6) is decent compared to the place in Sacramento. The filling is alright but the fried part wasn't crunchy enough. The sauce dip it came with wasn't flavorful and was super diluted tasting, wish it had more fish sauce. I'd rate a 2/5 for this. The banh xeo was huge, filling, and super crispy. My go-to spot for all the central Vietnamese foods. 1. I love the appetizer selection at Hue, especially the banh beo, banh bot loc, and the banh ram it. These my are go to each visit. Needed a quick soup fix and Hue was a successful choice. I came on a Tuesday evening at 7PM. This Silver Creek plaza parking lot can definitely get super crowded during weekends, but it wasn't too bad on a weekday night. The restaurant was relatively full, but people come and go quickly, so we were still able to get seated right away. You're able to order through your phone, so you can order as soon as you're ready. We got our food around 15 minutes after we ordered. I got the Bun Bo Hue, while my friend got a vegetarian option. The broth was warm and soothing, and the rice noodles were chewy. I was surprised to see that the dish didn't have pork blood in it, but the meat was fresh and tender regardless. And hey, a $14.50 bowl is hard to come by these days. The wait on a Saturday morning was about 15 minutes for a table for 2. It was a surprisingly short wait! We ordered two orders of Banh Beo. They were soft, warm, and flavorful! Highly recommend ordering this for your appetizer. Skip the Banh Bot Loc. It was chewy and the tapioca was very thick and not as soft as I personally prefer. The Bún Bò Huế was delicious, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the Bánh Canh Chả Cá. I ordered it to go, but they put the bánh canh noodles directly into the soup instead of packing the noodles and soup separately. By the time I got home, the noodles had absorbed most of the broth and became extremely soggy. As you can see in the photo, there was barely any soup left. For a to-go noodle soup order, I really don't understand why it was packed this way. I paid $14.95 for the Bánh Canh Chả Cá and basically couldn't enjoy it. It honestly felt like I wasted $14.95. Got here for lunch on a Sunday, and there were 5 parties ahead of us on the list inside; we walked around the plaza for a few minutes and by the time we came back, our name had been crossed off. We signed back up and got our table within 2 minutes. While not familiar with hue food, we really enjoyed the variety of appetizers and hue specialities listed on the menu. We got the banh bot loc, sugarcane shrimp, and bun ho hue. Banh bot loc was really chewy and savory, but wish the shrimp was fully de-shelled. Sugarcane shrimp was very juicy and plump. Bun Bo hue (combination and rare beef) were both nicely spiced and had that fresh lemongrass flavor. You may need to flag servers down once in a while for water, if they forget something, or even put down other tables' food since they're so busy, but they're quick once they know what you need. read more

This is an update to my long-time visits to Huế on Silver Creek. I've always loved their bánh xèo, and today was another memorable meal. Food (4.5 stars) + Their bánh xèo remains a standout. The crepe is crispy, generously filled with pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts. The piping-hot freshness made every bite burst with flavor when wrapped in lettuce, Vietnamese herbs and dipped in their sweet fish sauce. It's like having an amazing Asian crepe salad (5 stars) - Slight nitpick: They serve fewer veggies compared to other spots nearby, but it's still a solid dish. You simply can ask for extra lettuce I think. Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + We were seated immediately even during a busy lunch hour. + Restaurant is always clean and dishes have nice presentation. ~ The service was polite, and they did replace a plate of lettuce promptly when we discovered a small bug. I understand these things happen, but more attention could help avoid that. Also, staff could be a bit more aware when we try to flag them down. Overall, I'm still a fan. Hands down the best Banh Beo and Bun Bo Hue in the south bay. There is simply no contest to quality and I've been back to the motherland to compare. The blood cubes are rendered to melt in your mouth and the tendons are juicy. The staff here is on their A-game with getting patrons in and out the door. This place gets BUSY. The BBH this time I really liked cause it had such a cleaner broth the day I went. I really like it when I can add the shrimp paste myself then it being cooked in. Since it's more customizable. I really enjoyed their banh ram it which is a fried and steamed dumpling, lots of textural contrast. The chao tom which is sugarcane shrimp was not my favorite, as the shrimp did not taste fresh. Many people around me had ordered the bun bo hue so I tried that, it was okay. It has a strong lemongrass flavor, hard to taste the fermented shrimp, and the pork blood was not fresh. For the Co'm Suon Trung Op La which is a rice plate, it came with a pork chop which was very dry, the egg was a bit overcooked, but overall it was fine. Lots of folks seem to really enjoy this place, it is very busy - but maybe I ordered the wrong things but I think this spot is fine.
