Service here was absolutely wonderful! The server was a very polite and pleasant gentleman who made sure to remain attentive over the entire duration of our visit to their restaurant. Mom and I dropped her car off at Longo Toyota for Service and we got a ride to Pho Ga District for lunch. We both had the Chicken Pho and we split an order of egg rolls. We also enjoyed hot green tea while we waited for our soup to arrive, and man oh man were we pleased with the flavor. So subtle yet satisfying! They serve fresh bean sprouts and cilantro on the side and there was ginger paste, soy sauce, and sriracha on the table so that we could spice our soups to our liking. Man the ginger and soy combo turned out to be a WIN. I highly recommend this bustling, quaint restaurant for lunch and I suggest arrival around 11:30AM IF POSSIBLE. District's pho ga (Viet chicken soup noodle) kicks the ass the any bowl I've had in Westminster. That's because each element is perfect... SAUCE: I saw their grandpa in a corner table hand grating a huge basket of fresh ginger. Any family restaurant that has grandpa grating the ginger is not f-in around. MEAT: The chicken meat in pho ga is often a mix of white and dark. At most joints, the white meat tends to be dry and bland. Here at District, their white meat is just as tender and flavorful as the dark meat. Mind trip. RICE NOODLES: Perfect thickness, great chew, so slippery good. BROTH: Pho ga about it! TIP 1: Do NOT alter the broth by dumping sauce into it. Mix some of grandpa's ginger sauce and District's soy-sauce in a small dish, dip the chicken, take a bite, then follow immediately with some noodles and warm broth. The ratio of sauce to broth to noodles will differ with each bite, and that's how you do. TIP 2: Don't opt for the boneless shredded chicken or I'll go there and slap you. I hate working for my food and especially when you have a hungry toddler wanting her bowl of noodles. This time we ordered a little differently. We were going to have an early dinner so we got the shredded chicken papaya salad , egg rolls and large pho ga. The girl that took our order explained that it was spicy and had peanuts. I think she saw our daughter so she wanted to make sure. I think it could have used a little more spice to it but it was a very refreshing dish. Next came the pho ga. Right away my daughter said she needed her noodles. I love the nice and clean broth and the chicken was nicely cooked. My favorite is dipping it in the ginger sauce. The egg rolls came out shortly after and they were pipping hot. I had to cut one of them in half so that my daughter could have one once it cooled down. I live right by here, and grew up around Vietnamese food and Chinese food all the way back to 97'. I've been coming here for three months now at least twice a week or more. What really gets me to comeback is their Duck Pho, it's really flavorful. I also enjoy the fact that I don't have to keep asking for their ginger sauce since it's conveniently placed with the other condiments on the table. The second thing I like about this place is, How friendly and attentive the employees are with me every time. I saw that a few here had a meh experience with food or service, but I feel that it takes a second or third visit to fully see how a restaurant truly rates on yelp. (just my personal experience) I'm glad to call this area home, as well as to see the 2nd to third generations of this SGV town, serve up their tasty foods and goods. I felt a cold was coming so I wanted some chicken soup and pho Ga got really high Yelp reviews. Came and find that the chicken soup was decent but the noodles were over cooked. I ordered a large order of the fatter noodle instead of the pho. That was a mistake. The large feels like a regular size with maybe more soup but not more noodles. There's a lot more to viet food than just beef pho. Pho Ga District is one of the only places in the sgv to make other viet comfort food the right way. I first heard about this restaurant in an article on Eater LA and it made me immediately want to go support this family owned business. I have tried the pho ga (chicken) and bun vit (duck) soups so far and I was not disappointed. The dishes are very reminiscent to what my aunt cooks at home. Bun vit is not a commonly seen dish at vietnamese restaurants, but it is one of my favorites. It consists of duck, bamboo, vermicelli noodles, and complimented with nouc mam as a dipping sauce. The first bite into the soup, you can tell that the chicken and duck come from reliable, fresh sources. Maintaining these fresh resources is why I don't mind that the menu is limited. The parking lot is small, but there is street parking. They also accept credit card if you spend over a certain amount. read more

I am going to cut to the chase and make this review as succinct as possible! 1. Service and staff is good and friendly. 2. Parking is a challenge because space is limited in a small lot. 3. Food and portion are good depending on what you order. Banh cuon was not bad. I liked how the steamed rice rolls were made thin with a mixture of seasoned ground pork and mushroom. The fish sauce was decent tasting. Papaya salad was good but had better. They didn't use beef jerky. Pho ga noodle soup was a little on the bland side. Kind of disappointed considering this is their specialty. Although, the broth looked clear and uncloudy, it was missing that sweet concentrated flavor of the chicken. Won't be ordering this again. Pho tai tasted like the chicken broth with pieces of beef that is not the traditional sliced beef. This is a no no; don't ever order pho beef there. It's a small Vietnamese restaurant with a few simple dishes, but we are happy with this place and the foods we eat. The chicken Pho is really good, suitable for our taste, and is not as strong as other authentic Pho noodle soups. The Hainan chicken is also moist, with a sweet meat taste together with the ginger sauce and spicy flavored soy sauce. Service is also nice; they can speak Chinese, Vietnamese, and English, so there won't be any problems for languages. The only thing we need to watch out for are tiny broken chicken bones mixed in with the soup, which could be dangerous for little kids. Otherwise, we do like it very much. This review is mainly for my to go order of pho ga (chicken noodle soup). There were three employees sitting down at a table watching tv (Maury was on) when I walked into the restaurant. None of the employees greeted me and I actually had to walk up to one of the employees to order. The employee walked back to the kitchen and another employee walked over the cashier. I proceeded to pay with my credit card and the employee informed me that I must order at least $10 to use cc. I ordered a coffee. The employee began fumbling with the cashier. Then she told me to wait for someone from the back that knows how to use the cashier. Finally after 10 minutes, that person came out from the back. She made my coffee and completed the transaction. It was ridiculous how long I had to wait to pay and never even got an apology. The veggies, noodle, and soup/meat were packed individually and warm. This mom and pop pho ga restaurant is specialized in pho ga and hainan chicken dishes. That is why their menu has only few items. Depending how big is your party, sharing a 1/2 hainan steam chicken and chicken gizzard is a must at this restaurant. Its rice roll cake is really delicious, too. Finding a good chicken pho place is very difficult for me because I have a really sensitive nose. I absolutely cannot stand when my chicken is gamey. There aren't many chicken pho places that have fresh chicken that doesn't smell. Well for me at least. However, I am so glad I stumbled upon Pho Ga District with my family a couple days ago. The chicken was definitely fresh to my liking. It was not too chewy and had an unforgettable tenderness that makes my mouth water as I'm typing this. I usually don't eat the skin nor do I eat the gizzard parts ever because I usually can't handle the gamey smell. I ate my whole plate of chicken and the dipping sauce made it 100 times better. The service was great. It seemed like a family-owned business and they were all extremely friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back. Service: GOOD Came here with a group of 8, which was difficult to accommodate since the establishment is on the cozy side. However, the waitress who helped us was friendly and did her best to seat us, by combining three tables. The entire staff was nice to us and other customers throughout our time at the restaurant, even when it was nearing closing time. Food: GOOD The restaurant name is Pho Ga District, but that's not the only item on their menu. Mien Ga isn't a dish I'd usually order but I absolutely loved it what I tasted here. The chicken was tender and pairs very well with the sauces (similar to hainai chicken sauces) they provide. My only complaint is the broth was more oily than others I've had, but it did not bother me enough to take any points off. I had some of my friend's Bun Mang Vit and it was also very good. I'm really picky about pho and Pho Ga (chicken)District has the best chicken pho that I've tried. Pho Ga District is known for their chicken pho and i think it's better then beef pho. Pho ga has the medium noodles which I love, the pho is clean, tasty and the chickens are farm raised. They also have banh coun which is a rice roll with pork similar to egg rolls and spring rolls, that dish is bomb! A lot of other restaurants makes the wrap really thick but Pho Ga makes it perfect and with the right amount of pork. This is a very humble family that serves the best homemade foods..the specialty is the chicken noodles and rice but I honestly love everything here..there ban cuon is always made fresh to order..their papaya salad is also very flavorful...i also love the pork chop rice with an egg..super tender!! Seeing all the good reviews and wanted to try this place. I've bought Hainan Chicken Rice and Pho Ga (chicken). Chicken in both dishes were very little amount and 1/2 of chicken is still raw. There's blood stain from chicken on my rice which was gross, so I've ended up tossing 1/2 of my rice and chicken away. I just recently went here to try their hainan chicken and was a bit dissappointed. I got a togo order of both the chicken and rice and their pho ga noodle soup. I was dissapointed in the amount of chicken i got in my order. It was about 4 to 5 piece of chicken with a ton of rice. Same with the pho ga. I thought as a new business they would be more generous. The pickled veggies arent great, the rice was okay it doesnt taste like they cooked it with chicken soup.The only thing saved the dish was their sauce. I love this place and order take out here as often as I can. The people who work there are kind and always offer to help me to my car when I have large orders. The packaging never spills or seeps over. I do recommend heating the broth again when you get home to get that in dining experience. The food is amazing and I never wake up feeling bloated or unhealthy like I do at other pho restaurants - probably bc the broth is slightly lighter which is something i value. Just cruising around the neighborhood, found this interesting pho ga place. Why not? No wait, good service. Here comes the food. Totally not what i was expecting compare to other Vietnamese restaurants. I get that it is a different district so it might be different but this is just bland. Ordered the hai nam chicken and there was more bone then meat. The rice left more to be desired. Also ordered the papaya salad which was sweet. Tasted sesame oil which some sugar sprinkled on it. Honestly it is not for me. Left this place dissatisfied but it was at least worth a try.
