Dac Biet (Nem Nuong Summer Rolls for two)
    Ally B.

Some of the best spring rolls in town, in SGV, aka all of LA! Really enjoyed our experience here. We got sat fairly quickly and the restaurant was bustling/busy, yet no one waiting for a table. Ambiance was a little higher than casual, and you can taste the quality. Was craving good spring rolls and that's exactly what we got! Will come again!

Nem by summer rolls This was my second visit. Both times I got com (rice) dish. I think it's better than the pho. The bun bo hue here is better than the pho too. They're known for spring rolls / summer rolls. The rolls are dense and packed! They are generous with the dipping sauce. I wish they added peanuts. Service is ok. You pay at the register after the meal; they don't bring you the check. Bathroom is in the back. Parking lot is free, but it gets full most of the time. It feels tight to get around.

Really good spot and the price is pretty decent for the portion. This was my second time eating at this location and I have to say I'm impressed. I live close by so it makes it a lot easier to walk to and don't need to come during the weekend when there's usually a longer wait. I'll be back!

#23: Bun Nem Nuong, Cha Ram, and Dau Hu Ky.

Came here on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating. I got #23: Bun Nem Nuong, Cha Ram, and Dau Hu Ky. It was still very delicious and consistent with Summer Rolls. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the egg rolls were crispy. The fish sauce here doesn't taste as strong compared to Summer Rolls, but it is still good. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. There are also more food options at this place but one downside of this place is the parking. It has a medium sized parking lot, but it is also shared with other restaurants. The place has a more modern vibe and is much more spacious, however, service is okay. Otherwise, I thought this place was still good. I would only be back if I am craving something that isn't on the Summer Rolls menu.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants at the moment. This spot is just as good as Summer Rolls in Temple City, maybe even better. It has a clean and modern feel inside the restaurant. Both the food and service were outstanding. Pho is exclusive to this location, so my husband and I really wanted to try it out. We shared the house special beef noodle soup containing filet mignon, well-cooked beef, soft tendon, and beef tripe (pho dac biet). The broth was hot and flavorful, the noodles were the perfect texture, and all the ingredients seemed fresh. We also had the dry vermicelli with charbroiled sliced pork shoulder, shrimp egg rolls, and shrimp cake. The portion of this was quite big. I really enjoyed the pork, which had a smoky, caramelized flavor. The shrimp egg rolls added a wonderful crunchy texture to the entire dish. Very delicious! Pork nem summer rolls are an absolute MUST. This is their signature item for obvious reasons. Each order includes 4 rolls and is served with a sweet and savory orange sauce. The pork was really juicy and tasteful with fine grill marks. Every ingredient rolled up in the rice paper complemented one another perfectly.

A new Summer Rolls spot in SGV and this one is just as good compared to the one located in Temple City. Upon entering, there's a Yelp waitlist kiosk for when it's packed which is already a huge plus. Parking is free and plentiful in a busy plaza, plenty of other popular shops/restaurants in same plaza. First impressions is that the restaurant is very welcoming. Great vibes overall. My wife and I were greeted by staff and seated immediately. As we were scanning through the menu, we noted that this location has Pho options while the other location doesn't have any. We ordered quickly and our food arrived fairly quickly as well, pleasantly surprised as the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered the Charbroiled Beef Vermicelli, Pho Dac Biet, and some classic Summer Rolls which is a MUST whenever visiting. Pho Dac Biet is such a classic dish to get, as good as any standard pho can get. I was pretty addicted to the broth as it wasn't too salty. Portions are quite big and there's no size adjustments, 10/10. The Charbroiled Beef Vermicelli is another classic dish to order. Presentation on this dish is spectacular and is a white overwhelming with the amount of ingredients on the plate. Each bite is full of flavor no matter what combination of ingredients you go with. The beef is tender and not too tough, very easy to eat as well. 10/10 Class summer rolls is of course, their signature dish to order. Providing with 4 full pieces, easily a shareable dish. Highly recommend to order every visit as a dish to share or as a snack. The rolls are always well made and portioned really nicely as well. 10/10 Overall, a wonderful new spot to SGV, such a wonderful place to visit in Temple City and now there's one in SGV. Food is just as good, if not even better. Pho options is a nice plus to the restaurant. Excited to visit again to try other options.

Like that there was a crispy fried egg roll skin inside the nam spring roll. Adds a nice crunch when you bite. Also came with an orange sauce that my friend likes. I prefer it with fish sauce

This was my first time here. I am with my friend. Everything was so good. I will definitely go back again. Loved the service and food was awesome!

The restaurant menu has alot of options affordable priced around $15. The food is delicious, good portions and service was good. Will be coming back to try their pho. They have a tablet at the entrance to join their waitlist. Downside would the parking in the plaza shared by other restaurants. For the table, we ordered 2 of their Chef's special. One was the banh xeo - savory crepe crispy on the outside and seafood inside. Second was banh beo - steamed rice cake with grounded shrimp and fried pork skin on top. It takes 20 mins to serve. Our table also went with unwrapped and prewrapped Vietnamese rolls. The house special skewers is prewrapped with charbroiled pork and shrimp egg rolls. It was a very fun experience to wrap and make your own roll with the rice paper and herbs/greens. The wrapped rolls were their signature summer rolls and we went for the lemongrass beef.

Background On Nem By Summer Rolls: The owners are related to Summer Rolls in Rosemead, but they run the shop individually. Background On Visit: Was craving a pork belly rice bowl from Half And Half Good Old Time, but didn't realize that they closed on Tuesdays. I scanned the whole plaza and decided to try this place out instead. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: They have one unisex restroom. Location/Parking: Located in a plaza on the SE corner of Mission Rd. and Las Tunas. Next to Paris Baguette. Parking can be found in the plaza's shared lot or you can park on the street. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Service: Service was alright. The owner's husband, Devin, was friendly and informational about the shop. I also believe I've played pickleball with him at Live Oak Park before. I'll have to strike up another conversation with at a later time. Food Of Choice: I've tried one item (BBH $16) so far and I thought it was quite good. The only negative is that there was less protein. Would be nice if they had more meat. Nem By Summer Rolls For Thought: I would be open to visit again.

I was expecting a little more, but it honestly felt pretty similar to Summer Rolls on Las Tunas The food, service, and prices were all still really good though. I'm not super familiar with the difference between summer rolls and nem, so I was hoping there'd be a few dishes on the menu that you couldn't already get at Summer Rolls. That said, I really liked the atmosphere here. The recessed lighting and modern wall panels made it feel a lot more stylish and trendy. I'd definitely come back if they added a few more unique menu items that set them apart.

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to try this stellar place ... Ate here on 2 different occasions : once towards the end of March 2026, and a second time in April 2026 ... Both times were amazing experiences ... Don't let the restaurant moniker fool you ... This light, ultra - refreshing and tasty restaurant serves grub that can be eaten for : lunch, dinner, or as a quick and satisfying snack. And - although you can dine here year round, I would recommend it for spring and summer seasons ... I love the finger foods here ... The chicken and lemon grass beef spring rolls are sooo : fresh, delicious, crunchy, and healthy ... You get 4 big pieces for $14 ... Each roll is made with : your meat, romaine lettuce, cucumber, shredded carrots, and an herb ( mint or purple leaf - perilla ) that's skillfully wrapped in soft, chewy rice paper ... There are 2 main dips for spring rolls : 1... a gooey orange one 2... the traditional fish sauce mix The deep - fried egg rolls are to die for. It's one of the best I've ever eaten ... I gobbled up the giant plate of assorted herbs that accompanied it ... The workers are very friendly and personable ... They treat you like a close, long - time friend, who they enjoy seeing and serving ... Mai is the pretty and smart owner / manager, with short - hair ... I'm fond of her aura and knowledge of the Northern - Style Vietnamese cuisine ... Tony is also a friendly and diligent worker ... This is the ideal eatery for light bites ... Definitely bringing my best friend Cheryl here for lunch ! I am Ev ... You'll know who wrote this !

This location is great except parking, parking is extremely rare and tight. The food is delicious and you can find options around $15. They also serve beer here so it's a nice well rounded restaurant. The bun no hue was excellent even though this place is better known for their rolls, instead of pork trotter there was thick slices of pork instead which might be arguably easier to eat.

The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. Com Tam is decent, rice texture is on point. Pork chop is marinated well but not enough lemongrass flavor, tender and not dry at all. Baked egg was good but not amazing, seemed like it missing shredded wood ear mushroom. Che Ba Mau by far hands down the worst I've had. Red bean wasn't soft, outer shell/skin was still pretty tough. Not much mung bean either after stirring it literally for about 4 seconds the mung bean basically disintegrated into the liquid. The liquid.. watered down skim milk, not a trace of coconut flavor anywhere. I didn't know you can mess up Che Ba Mau until I had it from here.

I ordered egg rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The egg rolls came out first. Fresh from the fryer with lettuce, herbs and the nuoc mam/fish sauce. I ended up fishing that on my own (first meal of the day haha). I was wondering where my pho was. I flagged down the server and he seemingly forgot. He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.

New experience alert…read more My good friend Ben shared with me this Vietnamese place. I've never been to a place where they specialize in the catch fish where it's prepared Vietnamese style. You make these rolls with the fish with the sauce that you create along with all the side raddish's, carrots, and lettuce. We got the medium fish and it filled the 3 of us. The service was great. Our server got us everything we needed whenever we needed it. It feels like a bbq place and there's definitely a like so come early. My friend pre ordered the fish because it takes some time to prepare. Super delicious meal. You've got to try it.

Our server, Kevin, truly made the night memorable. He is hilarious and charismatic, ensuring we were well taken care of while keeping everyone laughing throughout the entire meal. The food was fantastic, especially the large catfish we ordered along with several other dishes. A helpful tip for anyone planning a visit is to order the catfish in advance when you make your reservation, as it is a popular item that takes some time to prepare. The dining style is interactive and fun since you wrap your own rolls using the catfish and various meats accompanied by fresh vegetables and vermicelli. We were there celebrating a friend's birthday, and the staff was kind enough to keep our cake in the fridge until we were ready for dessert at the end of the night. Everything was delicious, and the service made the celebration even more special.
