Had a great dining experience at their Golden Delight #1, so decided to try out their Golden Delight #2. There are more parking spaces here but parking can be tough. This spot is very popular, so expect a little wait. Also, don't come 45 minutes before they close, or you won't be able to get in. We were the last group on their waiting list. Those that came after us were turned away. Please note that the menu at this location serves mainly Vietnamese dishes while the other location also has a menu for Chinese foods. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is bright, nice, and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent. We ordered: - Bánh Bèo - Bún Riêu - Cơm Tấm Bò Nướng - 2 Orders of the Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage (3 pcs) & Charbroiled Sliced Pork Plate All dishes were very good and delicious. We all enjoyed the dishes that we ordered. Would definitely be back to try their other dishes.

If you are looking for a baseline minimalist pho, this isn't it. This is a massive, maximum-effort bowl built for true meat lovers. The centerpiece is a hefty, gelatinous, perfectly tender piece of oxtail that falls away from the bone with zero effort. Golden Delight doesn't skimp on the rest of the bowl either; it comes fully loaded with a premium lineup of ribeye/rare filet steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and bouncy beef balls. Golden Delight's Vietnamese-style chicken curry is a masterclass in rich, aromatic textures, straying far from thinner, watered-down takeout curries. Incredibly comforting, savory, and best enjoyed when ordered with a crusty, warm baguette to soak up every last drop of the gravy. If you want deep, beefy complexity, go for the Oxtail Pho. If you want sweet, aromatic richness with an authentic texture profile, the Chicken Curry is a flawless choice.

Bun Nem nuong + cha gio

Every time I've passed by Golden Delight #2, it's always so busy and there's a reason why, the food is so bomb. We went to celebrate Mother's Day and there was a bit of a wait, but there's always a line. You can join the Yelp Waitlist and then enter your phone number to check your queue in line. After about 30 minutes, we ordered a delicious meal that included the Golden Delight Pho (aka the Pho Dac Biet) for $16.50 and Bun Nem Nuong + Cha Gio (Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli. I usually order the Charbroiled Pork & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli, swapping out the proteins at various Vietnamese restaurants, so I've had my fair share of Bun Thit Nuongs and dear lord, this is probably of of the best I've had lololol. The eggrolls were soo good. I usually judge the dish by the quality of the eggrolls and man, these eggrolls were bomb. And the nam nuong was really good too! Pho was great and I was so full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the place is beautiful, service is good, parking can be busy, but I definitely recommend this place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We met up with family at Golden Delight #2 for dinner. Since we arrived around 5 pm, parking was plentiful and we were seated right away. My daughter-in-law ordered a variety of dishes for us to share. We had a number of rolls that we wrapped with a variety of grilled pork, egg rolls, sausage, and veggies. We also had some fried shrimp paste with sugarcane. The watermelon juice was freshly made and enjoyable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was bright and spacious with a number of tables quickly filling up as we dined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was fresh and service attentive.

We had a to-go order from here, and it was good. We ordered a nem combo that feeds 2-3 people, and the two of us were quite full afterward. I'm not sure if it was forgotten, but it didn't come with spring roll wrappers, so I used my own at home. The nem nuong was a bit different from what I'm used to at other places, but it was still pretty good. I do wish the combo came with a bit more sauce, though it did include both the orange sauce and fish sauce. Overall, it's a pretty good portion and tastes good for the $26 price!

Spring Rolls, Steamed Rice Cakes w/ Dried Shrimps, Vietnamese Charbroiled Sliced Pork & Egg Rolls, chicken salad

Food was really good and definitely satisfied my cravings. We got the Vietnamese steamed rice cake with dried shrimp, charbroiled pork and egg rolls with vermicelli, bun bo hue, dried noodles with thin and egg noodles, chicken salad, and spring rolls. Everything was really good and flavorful. I especially loved the thin noodles with the sauce, and the chicken salad honestly exceeded my expectations. The spring rolls were decent. All the bowls were really flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous and match well with the price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were a couple parties ahead of us when we got there, but it moved pretty fast and we only waited about 5 minutes. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, this is definitely my go to Vietnamese spot in the area! They also have another location on Garvey as well

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in here and it's pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But this broken rice dish combination. $24 Also got a very unique soup bold dish that cost$16. It's full of seafood and the salty shrimp paste that's super nostalgic for me, but was quite strong. I'd pass on this next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was excellent and the space is bright and airy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is good enough to come back!

Golden Delight's second location is the kind of destination you willingly sit through Valley Blvd. traffic for and battle for parking in an overwhelmed lot. A few things worth noting: - Currently my favorite thing to eat: the fermented fish vermicelli soup (weekends only). It has that signature tangy, slightly funky depth that makes each bite so satisfying. - The house special tomato soup with thick vermicelli is equally satisfying, available every day. Pork blood cubes, yum! - Jasmine iced tea is incredibly floral and fragrant. It's a refreshing balance paired with the noodle soups. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food and service is always consistent, and the golden touches give the ambiance a slightly elevated experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're a noodle soup fiend, you definitely want to give this place a try!

Food 5/5 Service 4.5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Price 4/5 Overall 5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well if you want higher end semi upscale Vietnamese food with higher quality, presentation, clean restrooms, clean dining and fresh cool clean ambiance and it's bright![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dont need to go anywhere else! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt like I dined at a high end Vietnamese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great job with the food taste, food presentation, even my bowl of pho comes out on a hot stone pot! Amazing stuff. Will come back! Be ready for a short to moderate wait during peak times. Check on yelp, but this spot was legit and prices wasn't ridiculous at all for all of us party of 6, it was $110 ish

Couple weeks ago we went to Golden Delight #1 and really enjoyed the food there. So here we are at Golden Delight #2 for lunch on a Saturday. You either have to come early or later than 1pm to avoid wait. Service is friendly, they don't have assigned table. You get attention quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibe is more high end restaurant, clean and modern - decor looks like #1.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We order Banh Beo Dried shrimp (rice cake in tiny plates with dried shrimp) - it's really tasty! Spicy beef noodles which is Bun Bo hue - it's flavorful, spicy. Last, golden delight pho with flat noodles. It's good. They use fresh ingredients, and I am happy to report actually #2 offer dishes not available at #1 and vice versa. I actually love that!

Love their pho tai nam. Put in the satay on the table for an extra kick of flavor
Nina T.

My official go-to Pho place in SGV. I've had a few places, but this. This place has the best pho broth, tender meats, and fresh thick noodles (not all place offers it). Service is always good and consistent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like their gold accents everywhere from the utensils to the decor and cups. It's a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A second Golden Delight opened on Valley Blvd in SGV area... the restaurant is pretty clean n neat included dining n restroom!! The menu is shown all pictures for easier reading to customers... Hot Stone Pho is still included to menu and it was served pretty hot soup base...!! I ordered Beef rib pho n the meat was tenderness enough, but could be braised a little long time.. so I could separate meat n bones easily... and the ice coffee Vietnamese could be strong favor a bit... Overall, everything is fine to get a four stars!!

Diana L.

There's always a line so we only went for the first time on this Sunday. We got there at 6:45pm party of 2 and got seated around 7:05pm with 12 parties ahead of us. The service was efficient and friendly. We ordered the bun rieu and pho dac bite and thought both were on point. Their broth is on the lighter side compared to nha Trang or golden deli but still very flavorful. Will come back to try out the pho ga and rice dishes!

The popcorn chicken is a must - the portion was huge and the mild flavor was top notch. The beef noodle soup was also solid. It came with a generous amount of noodles and big chunks of flavorful beef. Lastly, the regular soup dumplings pass exceptionally well with the ginger, vinegar, soy sauce condiment. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere inside was hip and vibey. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I'd highly recommend others to try their dishes.

Crab/pork soup dumplings: I still prefer the pork version but same good quality as above Beef rolls - Good portion of meat and balanced flavor with the outside very crispy for nice texture balance. Wish they had cucumber inside though. Popcorn chicken - ordered it with no spice but chili powder on the side. I enjoyed this very much! Light, crispy and flavorful. Bonus for coming with fried basil, which is harder to come by. Beef/tendon noodle soup - bouncy noodles and good tendon but the flavor was not rich. Spicy beef noodle soup (2 chilis on the menu) - Better than the one above but definitely sweat inducing. Pan fried bao: Decent option, but I prefer the ones at Shau May hands down.

I loved the Chengdu Zajiang noodles the most. The flavor was wonderfully complex even without chili oil. The noodles in both dishes were cooked to perfection and so bouncy. The beef in the beef noodle was so tender. The "sticky rice" dessert was fried rice cake with brown sugar syrup; the texture was delightfully crispy. The dumplings were so juicy; the skin was perfectly cooked as well! The cucumbers were tossed in vinegar, peppercorn, and chili. You order through a QR code, and service was extremely quickly. We were able to snack on the cucumbers before our entrees arrived. The sun does tend to get in your eyes if you sit facing the window during midday. The two combos were enough for 3 people. I hope to come back and try their noodle soups!

My sisters-in-law who live in the area highly recommended this spot when we were deciding on a Sunday dinner the night before we flew out. Among the four of us, we ordered: - Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - Biang Biang Noodles: least numbing of the noodle dishes we ordered. If you LOVE carbs and not a lot of sauce, this one's for you! - Dandan noodles: this thin noodle dish is slightly more numbing than the Biang Biang noodles, but still bearable and tasty. - Chongqing Special Noodles: most numbing of the three! I had to pause eating this a few times as it was getting a little uncomfy! The noodles are side but thinner than the Biang Biang noodles. I liked that we ordered noodle dishes each with different noodle types, flavors, and spice levels. The Biang Biang noodles were respite from the Chongqing Special Noodles, while the Dandan noodles had the right amount of peanut flavor and "mala." We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (it was a holiday the next day though). We were surprised that there was still a line of people wait in for seats close to closing time! Thinking we weren't going to be seated, we decided to order for takeout. We ended up being the last party to be seated! The staff was kind to transfer our takeout orders as dine-in dishes! The staff had the right amount of customer service and attentiveness for a Chinese restaurant, if you know what I mean haha. For amazing noodle dishes, comfortable seating, and accommodating service, Chong Qing Special Noodles gets a solid five star rating!

We ordered the cucumbers, chongqing special noodles and you po noodles. Cucumbers and you po were relatively flavorless. Cucumbers weren't garlicky enough, and again, minimal seasoning/sauce. We ended up dipping them a bunch. You po also relatively flavorless. The noodles seemed fresh, but were a bit overdone and almost soggy. They were enhanced by the best of what we ordered, and that was the Chong Qing noodles. Decent flavor, noodles were cooked well, and nice portion of meat and bok choy. We asked for spicy, and it wasn't that, but the sauce/soup base definitely saved the other dishes. Won't be going out of my way to come back, accordingly.

You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside.
