New Location, Same Curiosity! Decided to give this newer location a try since our first visit to Golden Delight was years ago. I wanted to try their rice noodle soup with a mix of egg noodles and rice noodles, and let me just say... the picture speaks a thousand words. What arrived looked quite different from what was advertised on the menu. Although most of the ingredients were there, it definitely wasn't as pretty or as generously presented as the photos. Rice Noodle Soup (Egg Noodles + Rice Noodles Mixed) Rating: 6.8/10 The soup itself actually wasn't bad! The broth was light, clean, and nicely seasoned without being too heavy. While I enjoyed trying something different, it isn't a dish I'd order again on my next visit. Now let me warn you about their sauté sauce... It is PACKED with flavor but also seriously spicy! I made the mistake of adding a little too much to my noodle soup, and let's just say my taste buds definitely woke up. A little goes a long way, so add it slowly! The restaurant itself is very modern, clean, and has a trendy fusion vibe that makes for a nice dining experience. As much as I appreciate the updated atmosphere, I always find myself gravitating back toward the more traditional, authentic-style Vietnamese restaurants when I'm craving comfort food. Service Unfortunately, the service on our Sunday visit was probably the biggest downside. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't seem interested in explaining the menu when we had a few questions. Instead, she came across as if she was in a rush the entire time, and her overall attitude felt a bit off-putting. It honestly made us feel like we were inconveniencing her just by asking questions. Great service can really elevate a meal, and unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. Between that and the food, it's another reason I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return to this location. Overall, it was a nice spot to try once, but next time I'll probably explore a different dish--and maybe a different location. Happy eats!

I stopped by Golden Delight #2 for lunch on a weekday around noon, and there was no wait. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a modern, updated interior that feels much nicer than a typical pho restaurant. I ordered the Golden Delight Pho and really enjoyed the flavorful, clean-tasting broth. One thing I especially appreciated was that the beef and noodles were served separately from the hot broth, so I could cook the beef to my preferred doneness while keeping the noodles from getting soggy. I also tried the 10-Item Golden Delight Broken Rice. It's a great choice if you're visiting for the first time or can't decide what to order. The platter comes with a nice variety of meats and traditional Vietnamese sides, making it a fun sampler to experience different flavors in one meal. Service was quick during my visit, and the overall dining experience was pleasant. The only downside is that parking in this plaza can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, so you may need to be a little patient finding a spot.

Picked up a order of vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. Pretty good flavor but the skin on the egg rolls are pretty chewy. On the pricey side but what isn't these days. Wish there was more pork.

There was a bit of a wait during lunch but it wasn't too bad. The restaurant is pretty spacious and has decent amount of seating. The portions were also a good size and sharable. The service was alright, they forgot some things for our orders like the rice paper and the veggies for the Bun Bo Hue. Overall a pretty solid Viet spot was good variety on the menu!

Had a great dining experience at their Golden Delight #1, so decided to try out their Golden Delight #2. There are more parking spaces here but parking can be tough. This spot is very popular, so expect a little wait. Also, don't come 45 minutes before they close, or you won't be able to get in. We were the last group on their waiting list. Those that came after us were turned away. Please note that the menu at this location serves mainly Vietnamese dishes while the other location also has a menu for Chinese foods. The restaurant is bright, nice, and clean. Service was excellent. We ordered: - Bánh Bèo - Bún Riêu - Cơm Tấm Bò Nướng - 2 Orders of the Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage (3 pcs) & Charbroiled Sliced Pork Plate All dishes were very good and delicious. We all enjoyed the dishes that we ordered. Would definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Delightful Vietnamese Restaurant that was recommended by our friends for a casual, no frills Vietnamese restaurant. We had the broken rice with all the trimmings, the pho, and also their spring rolls. Our server was pleasant and delightful. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious! The downside is that they're always busy and parking can be an issue as well. They didn't take any reservations unless you have a large party.

Every time I've passed by Golden Delight #2, it's always so busy and there's a reason why, the food is so bomb. We went to celebrate Mother's Day and there was a bit of a wait, but there's always a line. You can join the Yelp Waitlist and then enter your phone number to check your queue in line. After about 30 minutes, we ordered a delicious meal that included the Golden Delight Pho (aka the Pho Dac Biet) for $16.50 and Bun Nem Nuong + Cha Gio (Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli. I usually order the Charbroiled Pork & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli, swapping out the proteins at various Vietnamese restaurants, so I've had my fair share of Bun Thit Nuongs and dear lord, this is probably of of the best I've had lololol. The eggrolls were soo good. I usually judge the dish by the quality of the eggrolls and man, these eggrolls were bomb. And the nam nuong was really good too! Pho was great and I was so full. Overall, the place is beautiful, service is good, parking can be busy, but I definitely recommend this place!

Dare I say, best pho in the 626? I finally found the opportunity to eat at Golden Delight after passing by hundreds of times to see a long line in front of the store. I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

Had a great experience at Golden Delight #2. The beef pho was really good with a rich, flavorful broth and tender meat. The place feels clean, spacious, and has a luxury ambiance that makes it comfortable to dine in. We ordered a few dishes and the total was only $46, which is very affordable for the quality and portion. Friendly service and overall a great value. Definitely coming back again.

We met up with family at Golden Delight #2 for dinner. Since we arrived around 5 pm, parking was plentiful and we were seated right away. My daughter-in-law ordered a variety of dishes for us to share. We had a number of rolls that we wrapped with a variety of grilled pork, egg rolls, sausage, and veggies. We also had some fried shrimp paste with sugarcane. The watermelon juice was freshly made and enjoyable. The restaurant was bright and spacious with a number of tables quickly filling up as we dined. Food was fresh and service attentive.

We had a to-go order from here, and it was good. We ordered a nem combo that feeds 2-3 people, and the two of us were quite full afterward. I'm not sure if it was forgotten, but it didn't come with spring roll wrappers, so I used my own at home. The nem nuong was a bit different from what I'm used to at other places, but it was still pretty good. I do wish the combo came with a bit more sauce, though it did include both the orange sauce and fish sauce. Overall, it's a pretty good portion and tastes good for the $26 price!

    Barb B.

Walked in here and it's pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. But this broken rice dish combination. $24 Also got a very unique soup bold dish that cost$16. It's full of seafood and the salty shrimp paste that's super nostalgic for me, but was quite strong. I'd pass on this next time. Service was excellent and the space is bright and airy. Food is good enough to come back!

Golden Delight's second location is the kind of destination you willingly sit through Valley Blvd. traffic for and battle for parking in an overwhelmed lot. A few things worth noting: - Currently my favorite thing to eat: the fermented fish vermicelli soup (weekends only). It has that signature tangy, slightly funky depth that makes each bite so satisfying. - The house special tomato soup with thick vermicelli is equally satisfying, available every day. Pork blood cubes, yum! - Jasmine iced tea is incredibly floral and fragrant. It's a refreshing balance paired with the noodle soups. The food and service is always consistent, and the golden touches give the ambiance a slightly elevated experience. If you're a noodle soup fiend, you definitely want to give this place a try!

I recently came back here again for a quick Sunday dinner and here are some of the key highlights:…read more * Parking was easy this time as I was able to find an available spot in the parking lot immediately. * I was able to check in 5 minutes ahead of time via Yelp and only waited 5 more minutes in person before receiving a text that our table was ready on Sunday at 7:30 PM. * One of the most efficient services for Chinese restaurants in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area as the staff wasted no time serving food, refilling water, and responding to a check request. * Ordered slightly different dishes this time and C1 Xiao Long Bao (juicy pork dumplings 8 pieces -$13.00) and C5 Beef Roll (6 pieces - $16.00) were A-tier dishes. Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

8/29/2026: Wow! Second visit almost exactly 1 year later, and this place still doesn't disappoint!…read more We pulled in to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night, and the very ample parking lot was packed to the gills. There are several restaurants in the lot, but Mr. Dragon Noodle House seemed to be the busiest with several groups of people waiting outside for a table. I called and was told they're open until 9pm, but if you arrive before 8:40pm they will still seat you and you can order and dine. He quoted a 10-20 minute wait which didn't seem possible, but we took a chance and placed our name on the waitlist. I love the tablets that most restaurants in SGV use. It's so efficient! The host handed us a laminated menu and an order form after we checked in so we could figure out what we wanted even before we sat down. They get high marks for efficiency! Within 10 minutes, we were called to our waiting table. They are a well oiled machine! As soon as a party leaves, a team of 3 smiling staff converge on the table to clear the dishes, clean the table and re-set for the next patrons. We ordered our drinks and a Popcorn Chicken appetizer. Hubby says this is the best popcorn chicken he's had to date, and he's a bit of a snob! No dipping sauces needed. He ordered "No Spicy" and they brought chili powder on the side. They fried what I believe was fresh basil with the chicken and it was so tasty, I would request extra next time! It's well seasoned and crispy. The portion is easily generous enough to share with 4 or more people. Their 0% Sugar Green Tea is served icy cold in a huge beer stein, and is so refreshing! A perfect accompaniment to the meal. It comes in many flavors as well but I didn't want anything sweet. We shared an order of their Hot Oil Shrimp, Pork & Cabbage wontons in a bowl. Delicious, but if you're not a heat seeker don't forget to request it "mild". Now for what I considered the star of the table, their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. This is a dish that I love and am always looking for the best bowl.. and Mr Dragon is high up there. Don't come at me, but we had heard the hype about Corner Beef Noodle House and tried theirs last year. In an evening without a crowd we were virtually ignored when we walked in and I had to accost someone to seat us. The soup wasn't nearly as good as Mr Dragon, and their service couldn't compare. I'll have to give them one more chance. There was no room for improvement at Mr Dragon Noodle House. Beefy broth, tender chunks of beef and perfectly bouncy noodles. Yum!

For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

Food: Be aware that lanzhou beef noodle soup is different than the taiwan one that is more popular. This has a lighter broth and they have a wide variety of noodles. I would get the spicy since it was not too spicy and it was more flavorful than the non spicy version.

I went with the tomato and sliced beef for $14.99. This came with bean sprouts, which I wasn't aware of, and there was a lot of bean sprouts inside - almost as much as there was rice noodle. Not a fan of bean sprouts but will eat if I need to, but in this case - it totally overwhelmed the dish. There also wasn't enough rice noodle for me. Everything else was good, but that kinda blew it for me. Also got the spicy soup with beef and tomatoes. This is more of a gentle burn in spice they slowly works its way up. It's good if you like spice. Restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived but got a good amount of customers by the time we were leaving. Workers are friendly. Not sure if I'd be back though. Lots of street parking or a small lot to the side.
