Fried Egg Rolls with Fish Sauce and Lettuce (Half Portion)

Pho Hana is our go to place whenever we need a quick meal or are too tired / lazy to cook. Their perfectly grilled pork ribs always satisfy our Korean BBQ craving. The broth from their pho provides stamina and comfort when someone is under the weather. What's more, the courteous staff make us feel welcome every time, and the year around Christmas tree and interesting memorabilia inside of the restaurant provide a cozy and uplifting atmosphere. We especially like their #1 Combo Pho. The clear beef based broth is super savory, the thin rice noodles are perfectly cooked and al dente, the beef and tendon pieces are fresh and tender, and the sliced peppers provide the dab of spiciness. If you want more zing, all you need is a couple drops of squeezed lime or sriracha sauce. Their spring and egg roll combo is also one of our favorites. The spring roll wraps have a nice bouncy texture and the fillings of shrimp and veggies are always fresh with a nice hint of mint. Their egg rolls are perfectly fried and crispy. Wrapping each roll around with the lettuce leaf and dipping it into the fish or hoisin sauces is such a delectable experience. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Highly recommended.

I seem to be on a streak of places with fascinating decor and welcoming service, but food that I did not enjoy. The restaurant has a plethora of interesting vintage pieces. There are also a couple of outdoor tables. It seems quite clean and servers mask. Even the music is vintage --think Pat Boone and the 1950s. Unfortunately, to me, that music is extremely depressing and I should have asked to sit outdoors. The food was a major disappointment. It started off well enough with some ok rice and bean sprout and cabbage kimchi banchan. The restaurant serves Korean and Vietnamese dishes. My supposedly medium or spicy soon tofu stew was a watery mess of onions, some tofu that tasted off, one fresh mussel, a few bits of tasteless seafood, and something else I could not identify . I tried, but couldn't eat it. My husband's everything pho came with fresh basil and jalapeño slices. He didn't like it, but was able to eat it. Then again, he eats just about everything that isn't cheese. Others seem to like the food here, so perhaps it is better suited other tastes.

First time eating there, and we got seated pretty quickly. It took a while to place our order, but once it was in, it was about 5 minutes before we started seeing the appetizers and the rest of the food come in. It's a super cute place, and they even have a Dodgers shrine and a bunch of vinyl records. Let's move on to the food. As we were eating our terribly salty pho (I will need to dilute this with a lot of water tonight), the man I believe to be the manager or owner started to offer guests leaving donuts that he got for free from next door's Yellow Vase. When we left, we didn't get offered any or get a friendly goodbye or thank you like all the other guests. Call me paranoid or whatever, but it seemed off. Anyway, I think sometimes not everyone is gonna like you, but sometimes I can't help but think it's racism. Everyone who got friendly goodbyes was Asian or white. My husband and I are a mix of Mexican and Black Caribbean, so I wonder. Aaaanywayz, the egg rolls were good, as well as the fried rice and Vietnamese coffee--but I don't think I'll be returning here any time soon. Thanks for reading my wall of text. Edit: by the way, our order was $100 with tip.

highlights: - korean owned viet restaurant in PV peninsula shopping center, plenty of parking - if you live in torrance, come here for pho - tendon with vinegar and soy sauce is INCREDIBLE (they offer half size portion) - don't forget to get the onions on the side! - consistently amazing pho, support the locals

I always leave here as if I am eating a home cooked meal. The broth is amazing and the meat and everything else in my pho is delicious and of great quality. I like to bring my friends when we are craving a warm meal on a cold day. This is my go-to for authentic Vietnamese food. The staff was friendly and we are always seated right away. Pho Hana never disappoints!

I think I've treated Pho Hana too harshly in the past. This is an example of perseverance as Pho Hana has stood the test of time amongst many many changes in Penn Center. You can always rely on Pho Hana to deliver consistent food quality any time of the day. Whether you want pho or Korean food or both, Pho Hana's got you covered. And yeah, both options are good, it's not like you can favor pho over their bbq pork dish or whatever, they're both good options. Filling too. So what can I say? If you're a PV local, you already know. If you're visiting, well... you're in PV for the sights, nature, and hikes, but this is a nice dining option either way!

Overall, itches the pho craving. Not the most rich broth, but you can't go wrong with cha gio. A bonus, the interior is super decorated with everything Dodgers!

Got to sample a variety of items along with two main dishes I got to share with my friend. Everything tasted fresh and different. The desert course was a nice finish to the course. I think for the price point, it was just enough to try a variety of dishes from the menu. Parking for a Sunday evening was easy, we parked around the block and had reservations for 7:15pm. The name of our server is slipping my mind but the host and server all the way to the food runners were amazing! The atmosphere was so cute and romantic. Being part Vietnamese and completely vegetarian I was very excited to check this location out, I've not been to the El Segundo one either. Our server asked if we had any allergies, etc and I told her no allergies but I am a vegetarian and do not like mushrooms. She was so sweet to go through the whole menu with me and let me know what could be modified. As a first time customer I was thrilled that she did that. I can't recall the cocktails I ordered but it was a total of 3, one was a Pina coloada rendition they had, which was absolutely delicious! My company ordered the hot Saigon drink twice! For my 2nd round, I got the Kennedy, and the final I got the drink with the butterfly in it!! For food we ordered the vegan spring rolls and warm milk rolls for starters. I loved both but my favorite were the warm spring rolls!! It came with a butter honey that was super indulgent. The vegan spring rolls came with a peanut sauce (MUST) but I felt like they were a bit small. Great presentation though. For our entrees, I got the broken bowl with crispy tofu, no pickled daikon. I asked our server if the kitchen had fresh Thai chili peppers, if they did if I could have a handful chopped up into my bowl and she said they definitely do have thai chili's they could cut up for me. Little Sister having fresh Thai chili alone is like 10 stars to me and I hope they keep this option available for us spice lovers. My company ordered the Coco Pork with no modifications and he said it was great! There was this vegan 6 hour marinade my broken bowl came with that was absolutely delicious. I didn't get any pictures sadly but I definitely plan on coming back here because everything was phenomenal!

That said, it's good enough for a place to go when you're on somewhat of a budget. The first several sips lacked the chocolate flavor I was anticipating but it was a fairly decent drink. It definitely would have been better with more chocolate as advertised. The Beef Teriyaki Bowl was a generous size; again, it was good enough. The TTEK-BOKKI (Korean Spicy Rice Cake) was extremely filling especially with cheese (which was a $3 up charge). Not sure I'd get this one again if I came back because the price point and the quality just didn't match. Parking is easy and free since it's in a complex with a now abandoned Rite-Aid. Even so, I'm not completely sure I'd come back since this place is small and the setup seems so cramped. It lacked the vibe I thought it would have based on social media posts.
