This place has been around for years...which for Palos Verdes is amazing! I've always had a good experience with Pho Hana so their longevity on the hill makes sense. We don't frequent Pho Hana too often but when we have, we've typically gotten take-out. We did, however, dine in last week and had a good experience as well. We ordered the dumplings ($10 for 8 potstickers) as an appetizer and they were tasty. I ordered the large brisket pho ($14.50) and really enjoyed it. I don't crave pho all that often but every once in a while, a comforting and tasty noodle soup (especially on this particular cold night) was just right. I enjoyed the flavor and all the ingredients; I particularly loved the large plate of fresh basil, jalapenos and bean sprouts that accompanied the soup and I threw a ton in along with some of the tableside provided sauces. I really like how you can customize the soup to your liking. In particular, I enjoyed putting the spicy sambal oelek and hoisin sauce in the soup on this visit. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken ($17.35 for small / $26.50 for large) and she enjoyed it. I had a bite and it was really tasty. I can't remember what size she ordered. My daughter ordered one of her favorite dishes on the planet, Korean BBQ Beef Shortribs ($27.40). They had great flavor but I think the price is too high. Or maybe I'm just used to buying the frozen ones at Trader Joe's for like $13. And they're really good, too! My son ordered the large seafood pho ($16.50) and enjoyed his and had plenty to take home. Speaking of leftovers...I was really looking forward to having mine 5 days later (after returning from a sudden weekend trip due to a death in the family) but I don't think pho is meant to sit like that. The flavors were all there but the noodles pretty much disintegrated. This, obviously, is no knock to the restaurant but purely my fault. The flavors were all there but I would have liked to have had intact noodles but instead they just kinda made the soup a little bit gloppy and all those fresh sides I threw in were a bit soggy. Just a word to the wise to eat those leftovers soon! The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. There are a bunch of decorations all over and they still have a Christmas tree up which I found kinda cute. On a Wednesday night, they were actually pretty busy which was good to see yet service was friendly and mostly quite efficient. Overall, we had a very nice and tasty family dinner and we look forward to coming back. I just took off one star for the price of the short ribs honestly, otherwise I'd say we had a 5 star experience. read more

Is this the only pho place in the area? Seems people come here for the hype. The place inside looks like a homey mom and pop shop. It a mixed fusion of Vietnamese cuisine and Korean food. Looks to be Korean-owned. We gave it a shot and decided to try anyway. The food was okay. It needed more seasoning/flavor. We requested more vegetables in the fried rice but we did not get it. Only a few pieces of broccoli--not even the vegetables the gentleman was naming in the beginning of our order. He was nice in the beginning before he sat us down while we looked at the menu by the front door. We asked a lot of questions prior and it seemed he was able to accommodate our requests. As soon as we inquired about the menu and certain requests however, he was not able accommodate our needs unfortunately. We were hungry so we just ordered what we could, ate, and left. Love coming here, second time coming for dinner with the wife. First time we came was good and the second time was even better!! We both had the well done pho along with a pistachio frappe and wife had a Thai iced tea. The egg rolls are amazingly good as well. The food is made to order so it's always fresh. There's a shared parking lot with the shopping center. No parking directly in front of the restaurant. There is outdoor and indoor dining. Delicious spot! We were looking for a quick spot to eat in Rancho PV, and stopped by here. If you have parents that like to collect random knick-knacks, this place will give you a nostalgic feeling. The service is good, they were quick with the food as well. The bathroom was clean, and we got their hot Vietnamese coffee, and a limeade. I found this place by accident because I was going to closest Target in Rolling Hills and it was cold so I was feeling to get a pho. When I entered the room it was pack by people and I found Ma Dong Seok picture was hung at their Christmas Tree. Despite the full of people, they served us pretty quick. But I think their cilantro needs to be upgraded. Because I have had a very tasty and big cilantro for my pho, but here their cilantro was a bit small and not very tasty. I will start with a disclaimer that I do not believe that pho is my cup of tea. I was out with my sister shopping and we decided to give for a try and going off the reviews. The first, I just cannot get with the taste or the smell, and I felt like even with add hoisin and Sriracha it didn't have much flavor. Now the spring rolls, we were so excited to try these, but I feel as if they were cheaply made. They use cheap, iceberg, lettuce, shrimp, and the vermicelli noodles. I was so excited when they brought out the sizzling, steaming dish of meat. I have to admit though, that at first bite, I noticed the sugar. It was on the sweeter side, but still tasted pretty good, lying on a bed of grilled white onions. It was definitely a nice sized portion, but I was able to consume it all in one sitting. Service is super nice and friendly. You can dine outdoors. They also have appropriate COVID-19 safety precautions for dining indoors. The beef vermicelli was pretty fun to eat by mixing up the rice noodles with lettuce and beef and then pouring the sweet fish sauce on top. The chili sauce was pretty spicy even when I just mixed a little into my food. The crispy fried Vietnamese egg roll that came with it was pretty good, too. The #10 small tai nam gau pho (flank and fatty brisket) had a very flavorful soup base. I liked how they packed the toppings and soup separately from the noodles and meat so your takeout order didn't get soggy before returning home. The lychee iced tea with lychee jelly had a very strong tea flavor that was slightly bitter. But overall, still a very sweet drink. The Thai iced tea with boba was the bomb. I hate to post bad reviews because so many people only do that and for poor reasons. However, ratings are important as a public service when they are valid. In this case, I find it necessary to point out my negative experience in order to save others from similar unpleasantness. I called to make a reservation tonight for 3 people. The person who answered informed me that they only take reservations for parties of four or greater. I invited one more person and we called back to make a reservation for 4. The same person and also the owner (after escalation) then told my wife that they don't take reservations. This bait and switch communication doesn't go over well with me for people in the service industry. Naturally, we called them out for it and we were rudely treated. They made no effort to be accommodating. In addition, when told that this insulting behavior would result in a negative review, Nuri had the gall to encourage it and also indicate that Yelp reviews are worthless! Hello! I like to support a family business when I can especially w/ the rise of fast food chains everywhere. I ordered a chicken and a pork vermicelli plate for takeout. I would've tried the pho, but 'word to the wise' DONT get "take-out pho" unless ur home is walking distance! I worked nearby for almost 2 yrs without realizing it was here so today I finally took the jump. It's true, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere as u can see in my photos probably feels cozy. Almost like a coffee shop/ friends house/ diner. It's eclectic that's for sure. I like that about it and the menu which seems simple but extensive. I didn't get to eat right away bc I have a baby daughter that I care for mostly by myself. My overall thoughts; portion was huge, meat was seasoned but not my favorite texture. The "dressing" was balanced well enough. The veggies were abundant Maybe more peanuts next time. Not bland but not brilliant. We have eaten at Pho Hana no less than 50 times, but we haven't had pho since the start of shelter at home as I'm not sure how good it would be when delivered. Today, we has the urge and ordered via Yelp link for the first time at about 4:30 for 6pm delivery. It came promptly at 5:50, the soup was still hot after we opened everything, put in the noodles, beef, all the fixings, and took a bite off the egg roll. Yummy!
