This place has been around almost as long as I've been alive and it's never let me down. A lot of Vietnamese spots over the years have started shrinking portions and raising prices but I've never noticed that here. I always get the Bo Kho. It's a rich beef stew with a strong tomato base. Super beefy and super tomatoey, kind of like the tomato broth at hotpot if you know what I mean. Since the flavor is bold, a lot of places end up making it too salty but this one gets it just right. The meat is brisket with tendons running through it, which gives it great texture and that melt in your mouth feel if you're into that. They're also generous with the amount of meat they give. I go with thinly sliced ribeye that is tender and very flavorful. I ordered a BBQ pork Viet sandwich and a Vietnamese iced coffee over the phone and walked over to pick it up. The sandwich was impeccable. The pork had so much BBQ flavor and was slightly crispy.
