We are always on the hunt for new spicy meal serving restaurants. We had cravings for some Chicken Pad Thai which is my favorite Thai dish. The restaurant is a small hole in the wall joint but with comfortable seating and great service it's well worth a visit. The food came out just the way we like it and it was spiced up hot without being overwhelmingly mouth burning. Look to spend less than 40 bucks for two people which was enough food to fill us up. read more

The dumplings were okay, I wondered if they were home made bc they tasted a little Reminiscent of Costco dumplings in green sauce. The salmon with veggies and basil was good. I use to love this place and still do.... The food is great if you can get past the wait they prioritize the Togo orders before the orders in store and that's not ok... I think that selling this to the new owner was the worst choice I really liked the old owner and had a great relationship with her with knowing how I liked my food even with call in orders but the new owners look short staffed and overwhelmed and it shows ... so if you don't mind not being paid attention to when you are ready to order and a little bit of a wait then this food is the best Thai in Glendale !!! But might soon have to find another one if it gets any worse read more

The food here definitely hits the spot. They have Vietnamese & Thai dishes. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Free parking which is great. The restaurant itself is a little small, just 5 tables, but the service is quick and friendly. The only thing is the kitchen is in the front of house and it gets really loud. If you're trying to have a conversation, make sure to project your voice lol. Will be back! read more

We hadn't been back here in a few months, only to find that things had changed. We saw waitstaff and chefs we'd not seen before but we decided to stay to give it a chance. Food was ok - we ordered our usual: Basil chicken - was good. Panang with chicken - was ok, a tad watery but flavors were ok; prik king was disappointing. It tasted one dimensional, but portion was generous. Service was - well perhaps she needed time to settle into a rhythm. This place has historically done a ton of take out orders. At around 8:20pm on a Saturday night we were the only two sit down customers. Somehow, the waitstaff we knew from before was so efficient - everything came at us super fast: drinks, plates, rice, food... this time we waited a tad longer than usual and two dishes came out, but no rice for another little while. Granted she was the only one there, and dealing with take out deliveries and walk in take out orders. She was friendly though. Anyway, we're a bit disappointed to lose our favorite Thai place. We're going to see if the place on Beverly is still under the old ownership. read more

While in Glendale, I had a craving for Thai food and this place was nearby and had decent reviews. When I arrived on a Sunday evening, I was surprised to find the place empty. I was seated quickly and proceeded to order a couple of things from their Thai/Chinese menu. I chose the Crab Rangoon Sticks and Pad See Ew with chicken. I rarely eat Crab Rangoons but several reviewers mentioned how good they were so I made an exception. The menu had two versions, wontons and sticks. I was told they were identical except for the shape so I chose the sticks since that was new to me. They arrived in lightning speed in a small wire basket. At first glance I was shocked at how skinny they were, like pale crispy cigarettes. They came with a clear-ish sweet dipping sauce. They were interesting, a bit on the chewy side, with a crispy exterior and a distinct cream cheese flavor but virtually no crab taste at all. I ended up adding Sambal to the dipping sauce to add a little spice and to cut the cloying sweetness. The Pad See Ew was run of the mill with nice wide noodles in a light brown sauce with fresh Chinese broccoli and sliced chicken breast. It had that distinct char flavor that I expect. My only complaint is that the slices of chicken breast were cut with the grain instead of against so they were a little tough. Overall it was an okay meal. Not great but not bad. I'll pass on the Crab Rangoon Sticks but I'd order the Pad See Ew again, perhaps with a different protein. read more

I've never thought to mix curry and udon before, but let me tell you, it is delicious! While mostly a take out place, you can eat in as well. I went in and my husband had the pad thai sukhothai with crispy pork which was really good as well. They also have pho and banh minhs as well. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. read more

My partner and I moved to Glendale some time last year, saddened by the fact that we were leaving our Thai place in our old place. We (luckily) came across Pad Thai Bistro on one of our first walks around the neighborhood. This place is fantastic. We frequent it often, always trying to taste something new off their menu. Each time, we are pleasantly surprised by how each dish is always tasty and delicious. Service has always been great as we are met with a kind smile, a nice greeting, and excellent service throughout our meal. The ambience is quaint, but calming. There always calm and relaxing music playing, with a low enough volume to enjoy conversations. Overall, this is an amazing find for anyone looking to get a good Thai fix. My favorites are the drunken noodles, Tom Yum, and Salmon in green curry sauce. I confidently recommend this to all my friends and family whenever I can! read more

Pad Thai Bistro is amazing! Every dish I've tried has been delicious, but the honey walnut shrimp is an absolute standout--big, crunchy shrimp paired perfectly with the walnuts, it's a must-try! This is our go to Thai restaurant. Everything we've tried is so tasty and balanced in flavors. Our faves are papaya salad, curry udon, pad see ew, and spicy seafood fried rice. Medium spicy is perfect for us, but err on the side of caution. If you saved room for dessert.. get the mango sticky rice! There's only 5 tables inside, but parking is abundant. read more

Family style dinner (takeout). I tried their pad Thai, vegetable chao mein, and Thai iced tea. Overall really happy with the quality and quantity of food. Chao mein and pad Thai weren't too greasy, veggies weren't a sopping messy, and the flavors were good. I liked their pad Thai quite a bit. Thai iced tea was a bit too sweet for me but otherwise good. I also tried some of the brown rice as a side and that was also quite well-prepared. We ordered online. Food was ready more or less in the time frame provided. Staff were very friendly. Prices were also very reasonable compared to other similar restaurants. 10/10 would order from here again. Overall very satisfied. read more

The food here is amazing!! My partner and I come here regularly and we try to get something new every time. Each dish we've tried we always end up thoroughly enjoying. We especially love the chef's special salmon in green curry sauce. It has a wonderful flavor that goes great with the basil and fried salmon. The dumpling with curry sauce is also amazing. Not sure how they got such high marks?! I tried the pho and it was not good - the broth has no flavor, noodles are too soft, and the meat is cheap meat. What turned me off the most is the CLEANLINESS of the place - it's oily and dirty. The tables are very greasy and their kitchen area are not clean. read more

Parking Small but you can find parking in the lot. Take note that this parking slots are super small. I take my smaller car when coming here because I don't want my car to get dinged. Food Yellow curry with rice is delicious. What I like about this place is that things aren't greasy here and you can taste the freshness. I like the crab Rangoon an appetizer. Dunken noodles is a popular item here and it's tasty. I honestly haven't tried anything here that isn't flavorful. The pad Thai is also good, Drinks If you like Thai tea, try the Thai lemonade, it's surprisingly good, They sell soft drinks in the can. read more

I've been looking for a good Thai spot in the Glendale/Atwater area and I'm so glad I found this place! It's tucked away in a shopping center with plenty of parking, which is always a bonus in Los Angeles. The inside was casual, like a mom and pop shop. It had about 8 small tables. My partner and I started off with the crab rangoon sticks. They're like little crab spring rolls, and they were delicious. The sauce they came with paired really well. I ordered the special, their udon curry. It came out piping hot and absolutely amazing. I'm not usually a big udon fan, but the noodles in curry with cilantro and hard boiled eggs was the perfect combinations of flavors. I ordered mild and it had just a little kick in it. I ordered the pork with it. It was good, but it really didn't even need a meat. My partner ordered the yellow curry, which came with white rice. She said it was flavorful and creamy. She also got mild and hers didn't have any spiciness, which is how she prefers. Flavor-wise, everything hit just right. The service was great. Our server was attentive but not hovering. We'll definitely be back soon to try the other curries and noodles, but it's going to be hard not ordering that udon curry every time I go. So so good! read more

They were both very sweet and mentioned the items they got and how good everything was. We basically mirrored their dishes and were not disappointed by our choices. Generally, when you're at a Thai restaurant, you can't go wrong when you take advantage of suggestions given to you by two beautiful Thai people. We started off with an appetizer called "Gold Rush" which are 6 crispy, yet chewy wontons that are cooked until golden and then the dipping sauce was a tangy soy vinaigrette which I initially wished had not been taken away with our plates when we were done but any concern I had was soon forgotten when the other dishes came out because everything was so well seasoned that I never once thought, "I wish I still had some of that dipping sauce". We ordered the Laab Chicken which I always crave because so many Thai restaurants don't serve it. But Spice Season offers it and that might have been my favorite dish. I always order it without the rice powder because I don't like the powdery ground rice. I think it's a distraction from everything else in the dish. Our server didn't blink an eye when I asked that it not be included. Next, we ordered the Pad Thai. It was delicious. The noodles are thinner rice noodles (like angel hair) than what I have typically experienced (more like the size of linguini) but I loved the dish overall, would not change a thing and will definitely order it again. Blazing Basil Beef was the next dish that came out. The beef was super tender that night but it did not heat up well the next day. It got tough, even though I heated it up using a very low microwave power setting. This was in no way a reflection on how they cooked this dish because it was perfect when it came out. I will try the Heaven Scent next time or Spice Season Steak in lieu of Blazing Basil but that is not to say I would never order it again - far from it - but we are excited to try other dishes as I have noted further below. Rounded everything out with the Pineapple Fried Rice which I crave just as much as Laab but I'm usually nervous to try it because so many times the rice doesn't have any flavor, or not enough pineapple juice but not the case here! It was delicious! D'oh! I forgot to mention the Matcha Cheesecake which was heavenly. It took me several days to finish that off and unlike the Blazing Basil, it held up fantastically in the fridge for the next few days which is how long it took me to finish it off. Honestly, everything we tried was incredibly fresh, bursting with different flavors and cooked the way we enjoy our Thai food. We were not rushed, and the person who took our order said that we had ordered plenty of food which I appreciated - we do tend to over-order but that's because we eat the leftovers but I thought it was nice that she gave me the "that's probably enough" sign. Last thing I will mention just to help others on the spicy scale, we love our Thai food spicy. I read some reviews where people said the food was not spicy enough. We told our server that we like spicy and that we would leave it up to her - she said that everything would be a 4 out of 5 on the spice scale and while it was perfect for me, my husband thought it was just a tad too spicy but I think he's just out of practice. ;) We will probably go with 3 out of 5 next time, unless I'm alone. Then I would go back to 4 on the spice scale! I'm excited to try the Papaya Salad, Lime Steak Salad, Tom-Yum Fried Rice, Heaven Scent, and Lemongrass Soup. They definitely have a wide variety of food offerings, including things I've never heard of or seen. Something for everyone!

The recipes are a little on the sweeter side here. Overall nice flavors and well cooked greens. Blistered cherry tomatoes in Pad Kee Mao were excellent. PORTIONS are pretty small. **This was not a "lunch special". I finished the Thai iced tea in one long sip. (Small glass, filled with ice when tea was done) SERVICE Fantastic. Both servers that came to the table were super friendly and attentive. ** We were the only people in there until we got the check. One other patron was picking up an order to go. You've lost a regular.

It took 20 minutes to get our food after she told us it would be ready soon. I expected maybe we were at the back end of a long line of takeout orders. Nope, didn't see any bags for pick up on the counter. Nobody even came in for takeout while we waited there. Seems strange on a Saturday night to wait over an hour for food when the place didn't seem busy at all. Overall, I thought the food was mediocre even though we got it fresh off the wok.
