Excited to have another Viet place in town. This place is cozy, welcoming, and has great food! There's free parking in the lot and a decent amount of seating inside. Staff was welcoming and accommodating! They took care of us and we're very nice. We got their egg rolls, Viet coffee with milk, Pho Dac Biet,cand Bun Bo Hue. The egg rolls were good, came with a sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. Their Viet coffee was very good, very strong, and reminded me of Vietnam. Their Pho and BBH was fantastic. Both broths were flavorful and packed with toppings. They did not skimp on portions. We got their XL bowls, which were more than enough. Overall, food was made with quality and delicious! Under new management. The old name was Phó Le. It is now called Phó Huyèn. Inside is immaculate. It looks like the early stages of something that will be fantastic. A few growing pains with managing a new business. The phó broth is the best in all of Columbus. I know, because I have had most all of them. The spring rolls were fresh, fantastic flavor. I ordered through DoorDash, so I can't comment on the in-person experience, but their pho was fantastic! Their packaging was thoughtful on the to go orders - veggies, meat and noodles in one container and separate from the broth (which was in an actual bowl!). I put off coming here because of the mixed reviews, and because it seemed that in this commercialized stretch it would just be watered-down Vietnamese. Came today because it was handy and seemed appropriate for cold weather. Then I went and didn't get pho, the best soup and restorative for a chilly day like today. They had lots of specials, and I got the grilled chicken with rice (com ga nuong I think, and you could also get vermicelli.) It just sounded good. And it was good. Perfect chunks of tender flavorful chicken grilled up nicely, perfect rice, an assortment of veggies. All on a platter, not mixed, and with a vinegary dressing that worked on the veggies and on the rice. Warm enough, and tasty. Also got a pork banh mi to go, thit nuong. Tightly "wrapped," a great combination of flavors and textures. Plenty of tender pork, with fresh veggies. Is it the best in town? Nah. But it's pretty good, and there are plenty of options on the menu. Very small. Clean and comfy inside, but business at noon on a weekday seemed mostly carryout, and only one other diner. Language issues, so we made do with writing numbers and pointing. I'll be back to try the pho, and other items. read more

One of my favorite places to grab food in Columbus. Sorry I don't have a better pic. The pho always tastes so fresh and flavorful, and they do a good job packing it up to-go. I never use the sauce brackets because the broth is so good. The egg rolls are yummy too. The same man is there every time I go, he is very sweet. I will be the first to admit that I am a viet food snob. I think I have every right to be. Its the food I grew up eating. I have a particular palette when it comes to it. I try not to be so harsh. I avoid things like pho and other soups because I know my taste and I love my family's version of it. We live in columbus, there's not a lot of viet people so I know restaurants are trying to cater to a western palette as to not "scare" people. Shout out to the adventurous people though. That being said, I love the way they do their pork. It is so flavorful. I have gotten them pork banh mi before and today I tried to bun thit nuong. It was perfectly portioned. Each item. There was a perfect amount of noodles, pork, veggies and sauce. I like that they added bi (shredded pork/pork skin). You normally find this on the combo rice dish but I liked it on the noodles! Veggies were fresh, I like when they don't get buried under the noodles. Knowing all the pieces and parts to making viet food, I have a true appreciate when I eat it. Great price point as well. I dined in, and it was quiet. They had just opened. It's clean, and not busy. Looks like they mainly work off of take out items. Thai tea- one of the worst Thai teas I've had in columbus restaurants Vietnamese Spring Rolls- the shrimp was super funky/fishy tasting and the pork was NASTY. Peanut sauce was meh. Rare beef pho- I wish I had received more fresh herbs with this, but it was a solid dish. Broth tasted right, beef was tender...no complaints. Charred beef bahn mi- super solid! Baguette had a nice crunch to it. Meat was well seasoned. Had a proper amount of veggies and mayo on it. I would get food from here again, but def avoiding those rolls and Thai tea. read more

I've had better. I was pretty disappointed with what I received via Grub Hub take out for lunch today. I'm a self-proclaimed pho connoisseur and Jayme's email this week about Vietnamese food in Columbus got me hankering for some pho. Cruising down the Morse, I notice this new restaurant recently and wanted to give them a shot. I ordered 2 egg rolls and they were actually spring rolls, no big deal. One bite and the pork filling was pink. Yuck. In the trash. I ordered the Pho Chin (eye of round beef) and, per customary pho take out procedure, a hot container of brother was accompanied by the rare beef, herbs, onions, spouts, jalapenos & a lemon (used to a lime usually). Hoisin & sriracha packets to boot. Looked promising. The broth was flavorless. I added a lot of salt to it to give it some sort of taste, but I'm used the dimensional broth with tons of spicy, salty flavor. The beef portion was miniscule as compared to other pho spots in Columbus for the same price. I ate it, but it didn't tickle my craving like other bowls of pho can & have. Don't think I'll be including this on my list of favorite pho in Columbus recommendations. read more

More like 2.5 To be fair, I came here 3 times for carryout before writing this review. The first time, it had been open only 3 weeks. My pork shoulder & rice was the best of the 3 meals. Tender, seasoned pork. Very tasty. Rice, one tomato slice & shredded salad were the "sides". Not enough fish sauce given for my taste. Ole boy really enjoyed his seafood bowl. He said it was very flavorful. Because we didn't call ahead, we had to wait about 30 minutes. We were there right when they opened. The second time, late Friday afternoon, ordered the pork combination bowl. They ran out of pork. Really?! Ended up with beef instead. The beef was tender, but not much of it. The noodles were clumpy :-( but still, I held out hope .... Unfortunately, third time was not a charm. Got the pork combination bowl, but not only wasnt there much pork, it was tuff/chewy! shrimp pho (6 shrimp) was forgettable. Cold cut Bahn mi had little meat, some pickled vegetables, one cilantro spring on a very tasty baguette (after we toasted it). The grilled pork rolls were consistently good. The place is small, clean. Covid guidelines in place. A few Asian customers dining in each time we picked up our order. Vietnamese music, I assume, was playing. Their chicken that accompanies the rice or vermicelli noodles is actually GRILLED and not boiled like multiple other Vietnamese restaurants around town. My boyfriend and I just moved here from California so we're on the search of authentic Vietnamese Food especially for Bun Bo Hue & Pho. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue and my boyfriend ordered the Pho Dac Biet. They messed up our food the first time and re-made it which was fine but when my Bun Bo Hue came out the second time it looks good and everything but the noodle wasn't fully cook and was still a little cold and hard. At this point I've already lost my appetite and I really wanted to make this place to be my go-to. So my boyfriend waited at the "Order Here" counter to get me a banh mi thịt nướng togo but they didn't even acknowledge him so we left very disappointed. Beef was plentiful but slightly bland and it could have used some more scallions and onion. Over all a good bowl if Pho. Ordered egg roll which is 3 small but very flavorful beef stuffed egg rolls.
