My mother and I visited Phở Kauaʻi in Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi, Hawaii [4303 Rice St] on Tuesday, 01/20/26, around 10 AM. We tried the following items: * Phở - Brisket & Beef Meatballs Vietnamese Noodle Soup * Shrimp Summer Roll w/ Peanut Sauce * Shrimp Tempura * Rice Plate - Grilled Pork Chop The phở was truly flavorful and comforting. I loved the rich broth paired with the delectable brisket and beef meatballs. Sriracha sauce, basil leaves, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime perfectly complemented it. The shrimp summer roll was tasty and paired well with the house-made peanut sauce and sriracha. The shrimp tempura was fried to perfection, with a coating that was absolutely dynamite in every bite. Lastly, the grilled pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned. The interior of the restaurant had plenty of tables and chairs available for customers. I also appreciated the white-and-gold plating used for the dishes, which added a beautifully nice touch. The customer service was wonderfully attentive, and the food was fairly priced. Phở Kauaʻi was one of my favorite restaurants to visit while exploring Līhuʻe. Everything, from the food to the service, was beyond incredible. I highly recommend stopping by.

LOCATION: In the corner by the bowling alley. PARKING: Free parking lot, shared by all businesses in the strip mall FOOD: Pho bowls are big, bun bowls are good, and appetizers are good! SERVICE: Came on a weekend for lunch, food came out quickly VIBE: Basic little spot, quiet, spacious, would be appropriate for a date or catching up with a friend!

We were lucky to get seated fairly quickly (when we left there was a line outside) since the seating inside is average but not an overly large space. Food was solid and decent, exactly what we were hoping for since we were under the weather and wanted some warm soup. Pho was good and had nice flavor. Grilled port vermicelli was good as well, but lettuce was a little old and wilted. Ambiance is very low-key casual. Restrooms are shared by the building and you need to go outside down a corridor, which was a bit intimidating (aka scary) at night when it was dark, but the restrooms were actually quite nice and clean.

Cute little hole in the wall with super friendly staff. Restaurant is old but clean. And the food was good! We had pho, pad thai, summer rolls and chicken wings. It was all delicious! Will definitely return.

Been coming here for 12 years. Hits the spot every time. I always get the chicken pho, either the spring rolls (pictured) or the summer rolls, and a Thai iced tea.

Good hot Pho served super fast! Pho Kaua'i is a local favorite spot serving you the best Pho in town. Open late and ready to welcome you for a Large Hot Bowl of Pho. The beef broth is very tasty and adds to your selection of meats or vegetables.

It's been awhile since I ate here.Especially eating in.My girlfriend n I came here as our second choice. The original place where we was planning having lunch had some horrible service so we left.So it wasn't bz at all. There are new owners so the establishment looks better then before.Plus their AC is cold n I love cold.Well after ordering our drinks. We started with an appetizer. We got the chicken wings. It was good.Flavorful..Soon after we placed our order. My girlfriend had the number 18.Its consisted of rare steak n brisket. Its her favorite!.I had the number 28.This soup was loaded. The soup had rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, meatballs and tripe. It hit the spot!!.Also when you add the chili oil over the top good!!.We will definitely come back.I probably will order the same thing who know's?

Friends and I came here for dinner and it was subpar. I think the restaurant is owned by Chinese people because when my friend spoke Vietnamese to our server if they have a type of noodle she wanted, she did not understand my friend. That being said, the food was not as flavorful as other Vietnamese places I've tried. I tried a little of my friend's pho and the soup tasted a bit bland but at the same time, had a strong star anise flavor. My other friend got the vermicelli bowl with spring rolls and shrimp and said her noodles were overcooked. As for my grilled pork chop, it was so overcooked that I had trouble cutting through it and it got stuck in my teeth. We are just visiting Kaua'i but even if we lived here, I don't think we would be back.

Very consistent pho spot. Broth is delicious, doesn't need seasoning. Pork is seasoned great, nothing tastes too salty. Portions were adequately sized. Best part was the noodles tasted fresh, not frozen. Easily the only spot I'd go to for pho on Kauai. And the service was great and food came out fast.

I love this place a lot. The pho is really good. They also have some great fried rice (#69). The pad thai is excellent as well.

the vibes are cute like a diner but it's hot in there!!…read more first time trying saimin so i have no point of comparison. i generally thought the dish was bit of a one note even with the addition of the mustard. i didn't want to really put the vinegar in because the containers that held it didn't look so clean nor safe? it was in a plastic container that used to contain pepper the broth is dashi broth like an udon. noodles are a bit of a mush on arrival. the dish itself is cute like something straight out of anime lol it's good as a junk food snack maybe - i had this about 3 hours before my flight and i didn't feel so hot afterwards service was pretty quick and straightforward!

Hamura had always been our favorite when we visit Kauai. We are locals from Honolulu and visit…read moreKauai quite often and have visited the restaurant many times over the years. The restaurant has gotten worse each time we visited, not sure if it has something to do with the passing of the previous owner. It is still very busy; I think it is one of the few ( if not only) places you can get saimin on the island. The menu is the same and the food came fast, but the taste was not good at all. The saimin is ok, but the won tons were overcooked and undercooked at the same time (yes, really); the side with meat was so soft and broken that the filling was falling out, but the end where they close the won ton was so hard, doughy and raw tasting. The won ton filling was this loose weird ground meat. They are the worst won ton I've ever tasted. The bbq beef sticks which used to be our favorites, were also a fail; they were so overcooked and were so tough that's like chewing on beef jerky. The best thing was the pie, which more like a cake; it still tasted like the old days. The added some new stuff like manapuas, they tasted pretty good, but they are different that the regular ones with slightly chewy chunky pale pork fillings, not the juicy red char siu that you will normally expect. I wish the restaurant will focus on the roots and the main reasons why most customers come here - to eat good saimin and bbq sticks. The new stuff like manapua and lumpia are fine. But please don't forget, the name is Hamura Saimin, and not Hamura lumpia and manapuas. I am really sad to report that after around twenty to thirty years patronizing the establishment, I DON'T think we will be coming back.

However, when the server came to take our order at 5:45, we were told that we couldn't order any of the food off the "happy hour" menu (which also had burgers, hot dogs, and fish and chips among other things). 2 people in our party had wanted something of that menu. One of them ended up not eating at all because he didn't want anything off the regular menu. At 5:56 I saw another person being seated and they were given the happy hour menu as well (and it was on display at the hostess stand). I asked the hostess about this and was told that the boss was also the grill person and that he "left promptly at 6pm" so no one could order grill food after like 5:30. If that is the case, then why give us that menu at all?! Or why not make it clear that the one thing someone wanted to order (fish and chips) was not available to order (even after a worker confirmed it was on the menu). This really put a negative vibe to an otherwise lovely evening.

OVERALL Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai Bistro And Sushi Bar was a chill time, and I would consider another visit to actually eat Thai cuisine from their sizable menu. The happy hour was really good, the food was tasty, the prices were a bit elevated, and the service was efficient and friendly.
