We stumbled into this gem after seeing the holiday lights at the town hall and lucky us!! It was Sunday night and not super busy. The service was excellent! There was only two of us so we didn't order the hot pot but we asked for a side of the broth, which she brought and we ordered the dish that you grill the meats and shrimp with the veggie option OMG everything was awesome and we got a bunch of sauces (see pics). We were in Kauai for five nights and this was our favorite meal!! They have a really lounge-y bar connected also which looked fun but we were tired from traveling so left with full stomachs and happy hearts. Thank you for everything! read more

This whole experience was enjoyable. We started out with the salt and pepper buttered wings. These wings were so ono!!!! Crispy perfection! Then followed with the beef hot pot. The broth was rich and deep flavored compared to other places that offer pho on the island. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and clean. We did order an extra side of beef and pork for the hot pot, but for more reserved appetites the included quantity should suffice. read more

The first hot pot ever on Kauai. This place has been open for a couple of months and it got taken over by a wonderful lady Named Wilma B last week. It's original name was The Lihue Cafe and then it later became many other things and cuisines in the past. I think for now this new owner has brought new and fresh ideas to Kauai and hope it'll stay. She plans to have more hot pots and tabletop barbecue which will start by June of this year. She will be featuring Friday night buffets which will consist of local style and Filipino foods. Tonight's hot pot consisted pork, beef, shrimp, squid, a array of vegetables, and phó noodles. The broth was very flavorful. We had half beef and half chicken, only cause we couldn't decide. The beef broth by far was our favorite. This could feed 3-4 people and it costs $29.00. There's other things you can choose from the menu. Rice plates to soup bowls to vermicelli bowls & stir fry. It's very clean and neat. The interior is very pretty and makes you feel comfortable. They might be a little slow on service, but just be patient because they just started. For the first hot pot place on Kauai, it's really good if you are a fan of Vietnamese dishes (e.g. pho) as the broth is really tasty (we had the beef broth). It is not your typical hot pot, as it based off of Vietnamese dishes. The vegetables were really fresh and the shrimp are rather large. They recommend that the hot pot be ordered for a minimum of 3 people, there were 4 of us, so we ordered an extra helping of noodles and that was enough for all of us. The menu choices are simple and fairly priced so you won't break the bank when you go here or walk away hungry. I recommend that you give this place a try when you are on the island. read more

Bad Management! Shame on you! My girlfriends (10 of us) and I came for a birthday party to take salsa lessons that was advertised to be held at 8pm. We all purchased food and beverages which took forever to receive. The salsa instructor never showed, however, Management added a $5 cover charge on our bills for Salsa Night......That never happened!!!! WTH!!! When I confronted the owner about the added fee for a service that was never offered, she said that's how I run my business. This place is a diamond in the rough. On our first visit we tried the hot pot which was good... large portions and fresh ingredients. The broth is simple and tasty. We also got the lechon kawali as an appetizer. The lechon kawali is winners! We came back for the lecho kawali and tried the crispy paty... also got the teri beef and chicken wings. The kids loved the teri beef and chicken wings and we really enjoyed the more adventurous food. Will definitely be back for more paty and lechon!!! read more

We came to this place with high hopes because so far Kauai has very little to offer in terms of Pho. The broth at both Pho locations are watery and if the broth isn't flavorful, the Pho is awful. This place is clean, friendly, and offers great food. We ordered the beef broth hot pot with the chicken wings. I can easily say their broth is better than anything I've tried yet on the island. I've been all over places Bar or restaurants in Kauai, WB the worst, and completely unprofessional in every aspect in restaurant and bar business, we had party about 20 people's and we spent a lot of money on the taps, and 1 of us got drunk n start arguments with the Waiter. And he said will call the police and kick my friend out because my friend not talking nice to him, so funny what did you expect from your customers who drunk??? We are the customers!!! I work and running a Night Club in Mainland USA and I am felt so disgusting look at this business that completely unprofessional n bad customers services. My friend and I frequent the billiard room close to WB. The restaurant is not very busy, but this one night we peeked in and it was full. We thought the must must be good...my Mahi plate was very disappointing, it came after my friend's meat dish was served. It was dry, bland and hardly any sauce. I had to use the salad dressing to dip the fish in. I left my critique on a napkin with my name and number hoping they would want to fix the issues and maybe welcome me back to try the Mahi again to make me a believer and satisfied customer. I would of given the restaurant a 1 star review, but the service was good except when we complained about our food. I eat hot pot at frequent places and this place was not good. The broth was very sour. The first waitress said that the broth was wrong and then the 2nd waitress said that the cook happen to change the broth right before we came in. Hot pot was what I came for and ended up with the chicken and beef combo. Lots of meats and veggies to eat and put together tasted great cooked in the broth. Plenty for 3 people as it says and really affordable. Getting the appetizers and a drink didn't break the bank! Buttered shrimp were good but a little salty for me. My husband enjoyed the buttered wings. I was too full to try them. The place is a nice open space and nice place but not upscale. Service was good but only a few people in the place so hard to tell what it would be if busier. I would recommend for taste and value. read more

My group if friends and I came here to try it out. Two of my friends shared the Yakuniku while my other friend got the Chicken stir fry and I got Fish and Chips. The Yakuniku was pretty okay, but the rice that came with the Yakuniku and the Chicken Stir Fry was HARD AS ROCK! The stir fry was below our standards and the fish and chips was a disappointment! French Fries were crispy but the Fish were DRY and had NO FLAVOR... to sum it up, we would never come here again. read more

So we decided to go to this restaurant with my friends because most of the reviews from previous customers gave them 5 to 4 stars. By reading those reviews, It gave us the desire to go and give this restaurant a try. The place and the set up was organized and clean. Customer service was above our expectation, no complain at all. The waitress is the most friendliest and nicest server that I had ever since I eat at a particular restaurant. Well, we ordered the salt and pepper buttered chicken wings and spring roll as our appetizer. The buttered chicken wings was okay but not that appealing to my taste. Their spring roll was below average but I think it wasn't homemade. I could taste the difference of a ready to cook meal to a homemade one. I ordered the mahi-mahi and the rest of my group had their combo fried rice or whatsoever. I told to myself since we are in the island where surrounded of vast areas of water, definitely the fish is good. Unfortunately, my expecation to have a delicious mahi-mahi meal changed into a horrific nightmare experience. The fish was cooked with a butter or something and the fish was hard and too much butter in it. I think the fish wanted to swim still hahaha. The worst part of the meal was the rice. It smells old and soggy. I couldn't finished the food because it wasnt appetizing at all. I am very disappointed. The reviewers who gave 5 or 4 stars is a misleading advertisement. My husband and I read mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out anyway. How incredibly foolish of us. We ordered a Tom Collins & a Manhattan. The Tom Collins tasted like BLEND lemonade (The stuff in a big green jug that my grandparents used to drink). It was terrible. My Manhattan was dissapointing due to the fact that I had no idea what was in it. Definitely was not a Manhattan and I'm not sure why it was served in a martini glass with an olive? Neither of our drinks tasted like they had any alcohol in them. Bummer. Our waitress was not friendly nor timely. I had coconut shrimp and it was not cooked all the way through. So off putting.
