OMG! What a hidden gem- authentic flavors, all fresh, cooked to order. The atmosphere is not fancy at all, and the neighborhood is modest. But whether you eat in or take out, your guests will be impressed with any dishes! We had steamed dumplings, spring rolls and a variety of pho. Second time we visit, a total of five very happy diners :)

Grilled beef and egg roll vermicelli bowl

Stopped by here for lunch during a work trip and was really impressed by the food. It's definitely a hole in the wall restaurant. I ordered the grilled beef and egg roll vermicelli bowl (BÚN BÒ NƯỚNG CHẢ GIÒ). The grilled beef was delicious and well seasoned. The egg roll was good, but nothing to write home about. However, the dish as a whole was refreshing and tasty, especially when mixed with the sweet/tangy sauce that came with it. Price was pretty inexpensive too compared to what I typically see in the DC metro area -- it was a big portion for $12.95. Our server was also friendly and attentive. The place is pretty small inside, and the tables could have been cleaner.

Locate in Trenton right tucked away besides row homes, Kim Pho is worth the trip. We ordered the Shrimp wrap appetizer which was very good. Definitely fresh! For dinner I had the angel vermicelli with lemongrass tofu. It was very flavorful and delicious. The serving was large enough for me to take some home. I also got the mango smoothie bubble tea, which was enjoyable but I found the bobas quite mushy and flavorless. But over all the drink was tasty. I'd definitely come back. I'm giving 4 stars as I really wanted to order some Pho, but they were all made with beef broth and I'm a vegetarian. Definitely worth a try!

This place was so good, we found it on the search for a place to eat after sesame place. There was one other table seated when we got there and they left happy. The gentleman who served us was very nice and quick and doing everything. When we finished there was one other table and people picking up food. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.

No doubt, the naming of this Viet kitchen is an intentional play on pronunciation. Regardless, I was very pleasantly surprised by the definite upgrade in quality provided by the new management of this small restaurant on Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ, right up the street from the former Helene Fuld Medical Center. The dining room looks basically the same, but cleaner than it was in the past, and the management is truly Vietnamese. The floor boss oversees everything in the house in the appropriate accent, while the HDTV high on the wall plays a documentary on local ethnic cooking around the Mekong River delta. Educational and entertaining. My Pho Tai (beef noodle soup w rare sliced ribeye) was quite tasty. The large bowl ($12.95), had at least ten thin slices of steak and plenty of onion, scallion, rice noodles and well simmered broth, to which I added squeezed lime, jalapeños, Thai basil, and sprouts. It was nicely balanced, but probably could have used more lemongrass in the pot to kick up the heat quotient a bit. I also ordered a Grilled Beef Banh Mi (sandwich on demi baguette), which was also very good, especially after long squirts from the Hoisin Sauce and short bursts from the sriracha table rocket. The loaf had a crisp skin and soft inners and held its contents well with strong flavor from the daikon radish, carrot, homemade aioli and ample grilled beef with excellent bbq sauce basting. I ordered another with pork to take home for those I knew loved this snack. Aside from the sketchy nature of the neighborhood which dictates that the wise go there for lunch, Pho Kim has the chance to succeed based on the quality of the kitchen and brightness of the dining room. If enough of us visit, we can help assure its longevity.

mixed vermicelli, very good and filling. chicken super tender

Just dropped by this brand new Vietnamese for lunch. i was here many years ago and it was not good at all. new owners took over and opened up a few weeks ago. the real loose leaf hot tea was the first indication that this was going to be a decent quality lunch. also a good indication was that there were both hot chili oil and sriracha on the table. i prefer the hot chili oil so i was glad to see it. i ordered a mixed vermicelli. the noodles were fresh and plentiful. although i prefer mine on the cool side and this was warm, it was still super fresh and satisfying. the spring roll was great too. next time i will order more veggies and less vermicelli. i always regret it when i forget to do so. interior is simple, clean and comfortable. server was very pleasant and spoke broken English well enough. For some that may be a negative, for me the fact that these folks are immigrants cooking their food, is exactly what will bring me back. I took out pho and summer rolls for my wife and kids. One of my son's loved his brisket pho and told me it was the best he ever had. I think that's due to the broth being well balanced and not overly aggressive. I had one of the summer rolls, shrimp and lettuce were very fresh and the peanut sauce had some body to it, not watery like in some other places. Overall, I will be back and try some of the other items I enjoy. Worth a visit for sure.

I'm so in love with this place. I come here when I wanna get away from the noise and have a warm bowl of soup. It's beautiful inside and it's clean. The hostess is gracious and makes you feel welcoming. I will always come to this place.

I was in town visiting my grandparents on a rainy saturday and was feeling some pho. They've never had it so i had to introduce them to this heavenly soup. Now this was my first time searching and trying this place and the reviews looked great so i went with my first instinct. I ordered 2 classic: chicken and eye round steak. The portions were plenty and the chicken was chunky pieces vs sliced (how i've usually had it) but i was not mad at it. Plenty of utensils and what really stood out is that this is the first of many places i've gone that gives you plastic to go soup spoons. That sold me! The comments said they have a rooftop for outdoor seating will definitely be back. The summer rolls were huge for an order of 2. The peanut sauce was delicious and if i'd have to nitpick i wish the peanuts were crushed a bit more to make it easier to scoop on the rolls. Also wish they had an option to switch chili sauce with sriracha. Thank you for this experience Pho Kim; with love from MD!

Pho 79 Langhorne, PA…read more Normally, I do not write food reviews. However, after the dinner experience, I was more than pleased to compose my comments and to praise this business. I am not a food writer, but I do write recipes, enjoy food styling, and partake in food photography as a hobby. In late August 2026, my parents, husband, and young daughter drove from New York to Pennsylvania to see Elmo and Friends at Sesame Place. At the end of a busy, full, fun day at the theme park, we were extremely hungry and tired (if you are a parent or caregiver, you can really relate). We did not want to drive far to eateries since it was evening. After eating all the theme park fried foods, my parents wanted authentic Asian cuisine; therefore, we used Google to look up nearby restaurants. Pho 79 appeared first on the list with numerous positive comments applauding their Vietnamese dishes. To our surprise, upon arrival, we discovered that the restaurant is in the Oxford Valley Mall. We were warmly greeted by a young man when we approached the counter. He answered all our menu questions. We ordered several dishes out of hunger; also, many stores and food stalls were cleaning up. We were not ambitious enough to trek around the food court with growling stomachs. While we waited for our dinner, we happily chatted with him about our day and travels. Curious about the restaurant name, I asked about its origin. He gladly shared and (believed to be the owner and operator) kindly explained that 1979 was an important and meaningful year for their family; thus, the business name encompassed that number. And "Pho," of course, means Vietnamese noodle soup; it is traditionally made with delicious meat broth, rice noodles, fragrant herbs, plus full-flavor meats and fresh vegetables. Within a short time, we received our dinner, then sat down at the tables to eat. The dishes are comforting, humble, and 5-star delicious. I ordered the Brisket Pho. It was fortifying and just full of goodness. The only thing left in my bowl was a few pieces of chopped garnish slowly floating above the shallow, flavorful broth. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food in each portion. The Grilled Chicken over Rice dishes are scrumptious and savory. The chicken was not burnt; it was perfectly grilled and tender. Many other Vietnamese restaurants prepare the grilled chicken with lots of grilled, charred marks. I am not a fan of that because of the burnt flavor. The Pho 79 Grilled Chicken dish had a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and umami flavors that will please your palate and definitely persuade your senses of the genuine Asian flavors. We were given a very generous amount of grilled chicken over fragrant rice! My husband ordered Grilled Shrimp over Vermicelli. The dish had satisfying depths of flavor and a boatload of large, tender shrimp. This is simple food preparation, yet clearly made with care and devotion. Flavors are not overpowering if you are familiar with Vietnamese food; the food flavors are balanced and aromatic. Also, the overall quality and customer service are superb. This is comfort food at its absolute best. Sorry, readers, I forgot to take a cell phone picture of the dinner; we were too hungry, and security started circling us to remind us of the closing time. We were probably the last diners there, but we didn't mind; the food was truly delectable and memorable. It was quite a hilarious moment; my family was wolfing down the food while the ride-on floor scrubber and the janitorial crew were cleaning the floor and tables near us. Then, the ceiling lights at the far end of the mall began to dim. Frankly, this was a glorious meal, and we will be returning customers when we are in Langhorne, PA. Hopefully, not eating when the mall is closing. A gracious thank you to Pho 79 for a fun family moment and for serving us near closing time. Your business deserves high recognition and praise!! We wish you even greater success and business expansion!! The quality and consistency of your food are deserving of Michelin stars!!

I indicated SKIP which was an option. When I got home and looked at my receipt, they had charged me a 50% tip of $12.74. Apparently they have programed their computer to charge a 50% tip whenever you hit skip. Most people do not notice this slight of hand. Don't do business with theives.

Maybe this time it'll stay. There were lots of Vietnamese families here for dinner so that's a good sign. The menu is several pages so making a choice was a bit difficult. We split some dumplings and also Summer rolls. These rolls were in the rice paper with a funky texture to pick up and eat. The peanut sauce was quite nice and the rolls filling with some shrimp inside along with sprouts, pork, and other stuff. The dumplings were also a hit. For our mains, my wife and kid went with a beef pho and the large portion pho was delicious with enough to go home. My kid also had the brisket in there which she liked even better than the eye round beef. I had a Chef Special catfish which was excellent. Not too hot (spicy) but there were some red chilies in there for some kick. The catfish nuggets were I believe flour quick fried and very tasty. With the white rice to soup all the flavorful sauce, it was completely eaten. Service was mostly attentive. I had to ask more than one server for additional water. But, all were very friendly. One unfortunate issue is that the leftover pho did not reheat well and had to be tossed. However, my wife had already eaten the best parts of the pho. The restaurant is quite large. The menus were well worn and need to be updated. The TVs were playing food from Vietnamese restaurants. We had a nice meal. With tax and tip, it came to $100 for three adults. Two appetizers and three mains. No drinks except water.
