    Chicken Katsu Curry
    Abby A.

On a cold and rainy day, we decided a hot bowl of Pho would be nice. Pho Kimchi is tucked back away from the main street in Poulsbo, with plenty of parking and seating. We were greeted and sat right away, the staff was busy but friendly and took our order pretty quickly. The Chicken Katsu Curry was delicious- not too spicy, huge portion! Bahn Mi can be made anyway you like, ours was with a fried egg and cheese. Again-it is big enough to share, with lots of fresh veggies on it. My Chicken Pho was just OK-not a lot of flavor, very clear broth, almost like hot water. Again- I ordered a small serving, and had enough to take home. Definitely try the Thai Iced Tea-great blend of spices, and its sealed in plastic so you could order it to go. Overall it was good food, a bit pricey, very casual atmosphere (had portable heaters on because it was cold in there), but disappointed in the Pho itself.

The steak pho is an absolute go-to, must have! Such friendly staff, quiet pretty little place. Great portions on the pho, and so delicious! Love ordering here.

I moved to Washington from San Diego, CA for a little over 2 years now and I've yet to find an Authentic Vietnamese Pho place... until I FINALLY stumbled upon this hidden gem called Pho Kim Chi. This place is located in Poulsbo, WA and it's the BEST PHO I've had in the entire PNW. (This is coming from someone who was born in Vietnam and raised in a heavily dense Vietnamese community in California). Not going to lie, I was disappointed by other pho places in Seattle. How they attempted to "Americanize" this amazing dish by toning down the broth, turning pho into an unnecessary bougie soup, and/or adding straight up weird ingredients to the bowl (ie: hot Cheetos, French fries) Like what?! Common, straight up disrespect. Okay back to Kimchi Pho, BEST PHO IN TOWN I SWEAR!!! The broth is legit. It taste like they've spent at least 8 hours or more cooking the broth. Some places might say they do, but I know it when I taste it -- and Pho Kim Chi satisfies all the taste buds. Lastly, when I heard the kitchen staff speak Vietnamese to each other, I almost cried. I haven't heard my native language in this town in a freaking long time. Wrapping this essay up, if you're getting "pho" to feed your social media, go else where. But if you want the real deal, aka AUTHENTIC Legit Vietnamese Phở...... you have to go to Pho Kim Chi.

Amazing food, always cooked fresh and to order. Consistently delivers authentic savory meals and generous portions.

Pho broth was too oily and tofu stir fry waaaay too sweet. Not super cheap either. Will very unlikely order here again unfortunately.

Great place if you're looking for somewhere to get pho and be in a quiet environment. A little bit more pricy but nice for a relaxed dinner

Teriyaki is dry. Spring rolls are great though. Seems like they're doing construction. Noodles are very good too.

I've been there twice now and each time their chicken had so much fat on it I couldn't even eat it. I won't be coming back.

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and well executed in this fusion restaurant. The spicy truffle wontons with grilled shrimp were a standout! They were super aromatic with the truffle flavor coming through, and the shrimp added a nice extra layer of texture and richness. The wontons were not quite spicy, however. We also tried thier chili prawn noodles, which had egg noodles and was just as good. The tempura shrimp was also crunchy and added to the great mix of textures. We also had the rockfish, which was in a nice creamy sauce and cooked nicely, complementing the rest of the meal well.

Truffle chili wontons - skin was too thick for my preference and not a lot of filling. They were like mini wontons. The sauce was interesting though, the combination of truffle and chili oil was something that I had enjoyed. I wish I saved the sauce for some other dishes Chili oil noodle with prawn - noodles needed more sauce!! They were a bit dry and I could not really taste the chili oil. Needs more flavor for sure Duck leg confit - this dish tasted so Vietnamese to me? The sauce they put on the duck was reminiscent of something my mom would make. I enjoyed this dish the most. I really liked the way that the sauce from the duck mixed with the rice. Vietnamese coffee creme brulee - coffee flavor was so strong I did not know that the menu changes, so there were some items I saw people get months ago that I was excited to get but they did not have. Maybe will catch some different items in the future

Grateful to have a reliable pho spot in the Snoqualmie/North Bend area!…read more We order takeout from here very regularly, and they've been pretty consistent overall. There was a period when they did some remodeling--maybe it coincided with a change in ownership?--and since then the quality has dipped slightly, but not enough for us to stop going. * The pho is good, clean, and fresh. I always order a large now because the portions seem a bit smaller, and unfortunately the broth is more watered down compared to before. There were even a couple of times when the soup tasted completely off--they probably ran out and had to make a rushed batch, and it definitely tasted like it. After two bad experiences in a row, I stopped going for a little while, but recently returned and it was back to normal (though still more diluted than it used to be). * The pork banh mi is one of the best we've had. * We occasionally order vermicelli or rice dishes, but the amount of meat is pretty small. * Their egg rolls and spring rolls are perfect! Just always double-check your order to make sure you get peanut sauce instead of fish sauce for the spring rolls.
