Strawberry smoothie- smaller size than teas- make sure they use fresh strawberries so they don't smell like the refrigerator.

Friendly and their teas looked like a generous size. We got a smoothie which is almost 1-2 the size. We saw them use an old box of strawberries and then a few from a new box. Unfortunately, the old box must have had a refrigerator smell and gave the smoothie a bad aftersmell.

We saw Pia the Peacekeeper #122. Then we went to grab a bite to eat less than 10 mins away at Green Pot Deli, a Vietnamese restaurant. What a hidden gem here in Bainbridge Island!!! Coung, the owner said the curry reminded him of his childhood and his mom's cooking, I said, "Hell yea, I'll take one!" Especially when I saw his mom cooking in the kitchen! I love this mom n pop spot. We ordered their fried tofu (best I've had in a long time!! Super "meaty" firm tofu), garlic butter wings (yooooo!!! Them wings were meaty with the perfectly crispy outside and super juicy inside. The added garlic/green onion crispys....I could buy a jar of it!!), spring rolls (the sauce was the perfect cherry on top!), beef pho (perfect for this chilly rainy day!), and of course...2 orders of Coung's mom's curry soup with chicken and a side of brown rice. I wanted to literally give his mom a hug it was so good. I felt like she was hugging me from far away. :) This was straight fire! I was in #foodieheaven #nomnomnom. I can't wait to come back! Oh, and I forgot our drinks were delicious too! ;) i had the lavendar milk tea. It's too good and hard not to drink it all in one long sip ;) #PiaThePeacekeeper #ThomasDambo #ThomasDamboTrolls #BainbridgeIslandWA #FoodieLife #Foodie #FoodieFriends #foodiejourney #GreenPotDeli #FoodieFamily #ARestaurantADay #supportlocalbusiness #supportsmallbusiness #LocalEats #BainbridgeIslandLocalEats #BainbridgeIslandVietnameseFood #RealFoodReviewFromRealPeople #IDontGetPaidForMyReview

Butter Garlic Chicken wings were amazing!! Crunchy, moist and savory served hot and fresh with a wonderful smile!!! Bahn Mi Beef Sandwich was as authentic as u can get. Crisp, freshly cut vegetables with a burst of cillantro in a warm baguette. Very balanced sandwich. We love this place!!! Nice hidden gem. We will back!!

I can't believe I live here and am just now discovering this cute little cafe tucked away in the Pavilion. I brought some visitors from out of town and came back twice within the week. So far, I've tried the Curried Noodles, the Bun Noodle Salad Bowl with chicken, the Special Pho, and the Avocado Smoothie -- all of them were very tasty! The young owner, Cuong, and his mother cook all the food. Cuong's super personable and provides excellent customer service. They've been open just a year and he has plans for expanding and rotating the menu -- stop by and check them out!

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and well executed in this fusion restaurant. The spicy truffle wontons with grilled shrimp were a standout! They were super aromatic with the truffle flavor coming through, and the shrimp added a nice extra layer of texture and richness. The wontons were not quite spicy, however. We also tried thier chili prawn noodles, which had egg noodles and was just as good. The tempura shrimp was also crunchy and added to the great mix of textures. We also had the rockfish, which was in a nice creamy sauce and cooked nicely, complementing the rest of the meal well.

Truffle chili wontons - skin was too thick for my preference and not a lot of filling. They were like mini wontons. The sauce was interesting though, the combination of truffle and chili oil was something that I had enjoyed. Needs more flavor for sure Duck leg confit - this dish tasted so Vietnamese to me? The sauce they put on the duck was reminiscent of something my mom would make. I enjoyed this dish the most. I really liked the way that the sauce from the duck mixed with the rice. Vietnamese coffee creme brulee - coffee flavor was so strong I did not know that the menu changes, so there were some items I saw people get months ago that I was excited to get but they did not have. But don't let its lack of visibility be the reason you don't go there. It is well worth a visit! The restaurant is in a cozy little space. It is run by Thuy (the owner) and her competent and friendly staff. They have great Pho, both traditional broth, as well as chicken and vegetarian broths. We really appreciated the latter since many pho places do not offer one or both of the latter. I order the chicken pho and my girlfriend the tofu and veggie. Both were delicious and filling, and they provided plenty of additional ingredients to put into our pho, as is typical of pho places. The pho was served in metal bowls, with clean chopsticks, spoons and forks provided at the table. At one point Thuy herself came out to chat with us, which was an added bonus. She was so helpful answering our questions about the food, and even gave us a much-needed lesson on how to pronounce her name when we asked. (If you say it with a falling tone you will definitely impress her. :) ) I added Thuy's to my small but grown list of favorite places on the Island.

I could probably have licked my plate clean on every meal that I have ever had there. Generally, there has always been excellent customer service, and all the things that you would expect from a great restaurant. However, a couple of days ago I had a really bad experience. I live pretty far away, and there are thai restaurants closer to my home. Sawatdy restaurant is a twenty mile drive in one direction from my home. Yet, I will patronize it every now and again to bring business to her restaurant and because its been my favorite. I don't think I'll be going back. This post is not to discourage anyone from going. The food is generally amazing. And again, the service is top notch. I drove all the way to the restaurant a couple of days ago and ordered three things. The stuffed wings, a pad Thai dish, and drunken noodles. The bill was $75 and some change. The food portions were amazingly large, which is always good when you get your money's worth. From the order, the chicken wings were exceptional. They were outstanding very delicious as they have always been. However, the two main dishes, one for myself and one for my sister were absolutely disastrously bad. They both were like they had been either cooked earlier in the day, and left out for too long, or overcooked. On both of our dishes, the meat was really bad and the food was dry. In my nearly twenty years of going to the restaurant, it's never been like that ever. We couldn't eat them. And both of us can eat just about anything! I called and because the owner knows me, we had a great conversation about me coming back to the restaurant and getting the two dishes made again. Knowing that I live twenty miles in one direction away, it was gonna take me a few days to go back. Maybe even a week or so. We had an agreement that I was counting on to get the two dishes redone, but not the stuffed chicken, of course. When I called today saying that I was going to drive back for the two dishes I was told that they would only replace one. I had two dishes that were severely overcooked or dried out, or old. One dish, the chicken wings were delicious.I didn't want to refund. And I was told they would only replace one. So I went back and I got the one dish, which was the drunken noodles. And it was absolutely up to par.It was outstanding as it should have been the first time. Fresh meat fresh noodles fresh everything! I've included a picture. I'm disappointed though, because i've always been a patron of the restaurant who's never complained about their food. I've always elevated the food to my friends and colleagues and I've even brought people to that restaurant in the past. Getting one dish replaced when two dishes were bad does not sit very well with me. So I will go to the restaurants near me in Poulsbo and Silverdale instead. And we'll forget about and say farewell, to what was my favorite Thai restaurant in Kitsap County. Yep it's the principle of the thing. Paying nearly a hundred dollars for the two meals to be terrible. Explaining that they were knowing that i've never done that before or had that experience in twenty years, and to be only provided with one dish as a replacement is just not okay. Now we will close this by saying that was my only bad experience in twenty years. And I know everyone loves that restaurant. And I do recommend that you patronize it. My backing out, and choosing to take it off my list is a thing of principles.

I hesitate to recommend Sawatdy Thai. I placed my order online, but I ended up waiting about an…read morehour for my meal. The food was decent, but the service could definitely use improvement.

The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. I haven't eaten donuts from bakeries near and far but never had Mochi variety. They are made using rice flour that gives the donut an elastic characteristic and chewy but very good. I had three different flavors - strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. While I still would say I am a cake donut lover, I would always be willing to eat one of these mochi flavors. The gal taking the order and cooking the food (Emmy?) was very friendly. The outdoor seating area is very cute, though a bit chilly for November. The food was very pretty meh, but not awful. The curry soup was made with too much thickener so the mouth feel was oddly gelatinous. It lacked subtle flavors, overall not very good, but not horrible. I was glad I sharing it as a whole bowl might have been inedible. The sweet sour "chicken" was pretty good. The sauce was your run of the mill sweet sour sauce...I am guessing not homemade. It had fresh broccoli. The "chicken" was kind of novel for a long-long-long time vegetarian like myself. No idea if it tastes like real chicken. Cannot remember the third dish, probably equally okay but not great. Prices pretty good. Anyhow, if you are passing through and it is a nice night, it would be a fine choice.
