You know a place is good when it's busy and requires a wait list at all times of day, including 2:30pm on a Friday. We finally got back to Bainbridge yesterday, after a few years of being too busy to make it work. During this time I haven't stopped thinking about Ba Sa and have even tried to scratch the itch by going to their sister restaurant, Ramie in Seattle and while it's good, it's not the same flavors or style as Ba Sa. I'm so glad that I got to introduce my husband and kids to Ba Sa and they loved it as much as I do! Everything was delicious, here's what we ordered: Truffle dumplings: so good, chili sauce was just a tickle and perfect Sweet soy glazed wings - we fought over these! Perfect sticky glaze with good crunch as well Dry aged beef pho - this is probably some of the best pho I've had in Seattle. The broth was luscious and packed with favor without being greasy. Noodles were perfectly cooked and beef was delicious! Fried noodles with tempura shrimp - also so good and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Shrimp were large, well fried and coated with delicious sauce Pork banh mi - spicy but really balanced and good flavor. The bun was a little big and hard to eat but the quality and taste was there I'm so glad it was as delicious as I remembered and can't wait to come back. We sat on the patio and it was a perfect day. Tables are a bit sticky but I think that's due to the finish on them vs not being cleaned. We will be back!

I think this place is good for Asian food, but as a Vietnamese restaurant? I think the flavors lean more towards modern. Truffle chili wontons - skin was too thick for my preference and not a lot of filling. They were like mini wontons. The sauce was interesting though, the combination of truffle and chili oil was something that I had enjoyed. I wish I saved the sauce for some other dishes Chili oil noodle with prawn - noodles needed more sauce!! They were a bit dry and I could not really taste the chili oil. Needs more flavor for sure Duck leg confit - this dish tasted so Vietnamese to me? The sauce they put on the duck was reminiscent of something my mom would make. I enjoyed this dish the most. I really liked the way that the sauce from the duck mixed with the rice. Vietnamese coffee creme brulee - coffee flavor was so strong I did not know that the menu changes, so there were some items I saw people get months ago that I was excited to get but they did not have. Maybe will catch some different items in the future

Came here after a day trip in Bainbridge and it hit the spot! The food was very flavorful and filling. The pasta was my favorite as the short ribs were tender and tasty! The truffle wontons were juicy and had a good amount of filling. The prawns on the chili oil prawn noodles were really crispy, and the hot honey glazed ribs were yummy but not as tender as it could be. Overall excellent viet fusion food!! Service was a little slow for a non-busy night. We found ourselves finishing one dish and having to wait a bit for another dish to come out.

We were visiting Bainbridge Island for the day and while in town going to parks, walking around, retail etc, we worked up an appetite for lunch. Among a few other spots, Ba Sa was on our hit list to check out, so we came by for lunch. Its a nice looking modern Vietnamese restaurant with a fusion-y spin on Viet food. We didn't know what to order so we looked at a bunch of photos to see what looked good. We started off with the Chicken Buns. It was really good karage chicken bao buns, very flavorful, nicely prepared and the mayo was tasty! We really enjoyed this to start off our meal. As for our entrees, we got: Bun Cha Hanoi: Good amount of meats, I really liked this, comes with 2 pork patties, 2 grilled pork skewers, an egg roll, noodles to dip in the nuoc cham sauce with lettuce to make some wraps. I went to town on this! Sautee Beef Vermicelli: I got some bites to this dish as well, beef was plenty, quite flavorful stir fried beef, good marinade on the beef, comes with vermicelli noodles with some assorted veggies and crispy bits on top. A good non soup beef noodle dish! We came at a good time, we got seated pretty quickly, friendly staff, it is on the pricier side but we enjoyed the food a lot. The place got busier when we were leaving. Worth coming by to check out if you in the neighborhood!

On a day trip to Baybridge island, my friends and I decided to try this trending restaurant, and it was worth the hype! Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and well executed in this fusion restaurant. The spicy truffle wontons with grilled shrimp were a standout! They were super aromatic with the truffle flavor coming through, and the shrimp added a nice extra layer of texture and richness. The wontons were not quite spicy, however. We also tried thier chili prawn noodles, which had egg noodles and was just as good. The tempura shrimp was also crunchy and added to the great mix of textures. We also had the rockfish, which was in a nice creamy sauce and cooked nicely, complementing the rest of the meal well.

We came across Ba Sa while exploring Bainbridge Island for the day, and I'm so glad we did! The chalkboard with the daily specials immediately caught my attention and drew us in. We each ordered the passionfruit mocktail, which was incredibly refreshing and delicious. We shared the spicy truffle wontons, sizzling eggplant and fried tofu, and chili prawn noodles - every dish was packed with amazing flavors and beautifully prepared. Such a fun find during our day of exploring. The food was creative, flavorful, and memorable. Highly recommend stopping by Ba Sa if you're on Bainbridge Island!

Ambiance is nice for a date or get together with dear friends. Wide range of drink and wine options at the bar. Bar view is of the kitchen and goes well if you love watching the action of dishes being prepared. Ordered the tamarind sour mocktail and it gave the sour twang my taste buds were yearning for. Eggplant and tofu + garlic and green beans each come with a serving of white rice. Both were extremely flavorful and hit the spot! Duck confit was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside over a bed of garlic rice. Service was excellent. They gave great pairing suggestions of wine for each dish. Thank you!

Ba Sa? Yes-sa!!! So I did have to wait at least 1 hr to get seated, which was stressful esp when you are hungry but this is where my group wanted to dine. Located on Bainbridge Island, just a quick ferry ride over, the restaurant is cute! I tried a few items including the wontons, chili shrimp noodle dish, and the corn ribs. The shrimp noodle dish is a must and corn ribs, although simple was delicious. I also enjoyed the hard cider, if you like drinks on the sweet side. Although the wait was less than ideal, the food and service was enough for me to return if I'm in Seattle again.

Haven't been here in a while, but I brought my family this time and they are fans! Everything was just as good as my last visit, though I personally wasn't a big fan of the Bun Cha Hanoi. Fortunately, the other dishes more than made up for it, so this spot is still a 5/5 for me. We sat inside since the patio couldn't accommodate our group of seven. FOOD Chili Prawn Noodles - 5/5 Packed with flavor, and the prawns were lightly battered and fried to a perfect crisp. The kids loved this one. Spicy Truffle Wontons - 5/5 So good we ordered two plates. Corn Ribs - 4/5 A tasty appetizer. Truffle JoJos - 4/5 Potato wedges served with a green garlic aioli sauce. Bun Cha Hanoi - 3.5/5 Not my personal favorite, though a few family members enjoyed it. This place is just a quick ferry ride away, perfect for grabbing lunch or dinner and strolling around afterward. It does get busy since it's a smaller restaurant, but we've been lucky to get seated right away. Can't wait to come back!

This small place on Bainbridge Island brings very flavorful dishes and cocktails to Winslow and we can't get over the beautiful setting and the tree! They just refurbished the lovely patio too. We have been here many times and our favorites are: Spicy Truffle Wanton: unbelievably savory shrimp and pork dumplings. Do not pass this up. Dry Aged Ribeye Pho: this very delicious beef pho comes with a savory donut!! Passion fruit lemon drop cocktail

Parking is plenty and easy to find. The interior is decorated nicely. There's a good amount of seating for small to medium sized groups. Dry aged ribeye beef pho (4/5): the meat pieces were pretty big. Almost too big to be honest but the flavor was good from the broth. There was also a good kick overall. Not too mild nor too spicy. Tap to pay is accepted. Service took some time, especially the pho. Overall Ba Sa is a good restaurant. Food is yummy but takes a while and service could use improvement. However, the ambiance and staff were nice.

I love this place. Heck, I took a ferry over just to eat there. Sat at the counter because it was filled up but it was so good. It's a nice setting and the service was great.

Great food with a fresh spin on Vietnamese classics. We did a day trip from Seattle to Bainbridge, and after walking around town we ended up grabbing dinner at Ba Sa. Location is convenient as it was right in the midst of all the other restaurants and shops in the main area, and walking distance to the ferry terminal. We tried the bao bun appetizer that was filled with tasty karaage chicken and had the pho. The beef in the pho was very flavorful and the broth was delicious as well. I also like how they did not skimp on the beef. Overall good food in a quaint atmosphere, I only wish the line and the wait for a table was not as long. But it was a weekend night after all.

It's clear this was the case for others as well, as there was a large line extending outside the door onto the sidewalk when we arrived around 10:00 a.m. I ordered their multigrain toast with jam along with a savory croissant. The toast comes heavily buttered and the savory croissant for the day was topped with the fillings you'd fine in a spanakopita -- i.e. spinach and feta. I really loved the thickness of the toast slice and the degree that they toasted it: soft and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They did not hold back from including a bunch of seeds in the bread, and that added a nice texture in every bite. The jam is on the sweeter side, but I like that it's on the side so you can control exactly how much sweetness you want to add. The savory croissant had good flakiness to it, but it would have been nice if we had an option to have it toasted. Overall, very good bakery that I'd gladly visit again if I'm back on Bainbridge Island. Definitely get the toast.

All are welcome in this lovely little treehouse of a restaurant. Seriously though, this is a great spot for people-watching during the summer months. After you order food, they will begin making the magic happen. You can then take in the sights and sounds of Bainbridge since you're sitting on one of the busier corners of the island (total guess, I've only been here twice but it seems accurate). You'll see people from all over the world with a tiny backpack with just enough supplies for a day trip. Emmy's seemed like they had a good amount of meat-free options, so we decided to indulge for our only meal during our trip. Little did we know that EVERYTHING ON THE MENU was vegan! This made the experience super fun because I was trying dishes that I've been eating since I was a kid, but veganised. I've never seen a restaurant try to make a meatless sesame chicken, but they nailed it here. The sauce was really what makes the dish taste just like the original. The chicken isn't exactly chicken-y, but it has a nice texture and tastes wonderful. I'm not entirely sure of the name of the next dish we ordered, but it was some sort of kebab-vermicelli-bowl-situation that sounded too interesting NOT to try, and I was right! There are egg rolls layered throughout this thing that are DEEPLY fried and almost have a mashed potato consistency inside. They seem very untraditional, but I looooved the addition to this bowl. The kebab was a surprising twist on a vermicelli bowl, I almost had a hard time believing that this wasn't meat! This was an outstanding order, but definitely needs to have sauce applied liberally to be consumed at its highest power. I love what Emmy's Vege House is doing in taking a multitude of cuisines, fusing them together, and then making them vegan.
