Stopped by for lunch yesterday and I really enjoyed it. First time I used the ordering kiosk, so that took an extra minute. Got the #28/Brisket and it came out in about 5 minutes. Good flavor, delicate broth and lot's of tender, thin sliced beef. Place was very clean and appeared to be well kept. Around here ( I know, "not SJ"), I think this is one of the better places. First off I have never written a bad review or even written a review to begin with. Generally, I just don't have the time...this is different as I feel compelled. I thought it was a bit weird they did not serve bun thit nuong as my wife does not typically eat Pho...whatever no big deal. We order combination chow mein. The chicken that was in it, even though very thinly sliced was tough, tasteless and basically inedible. The spring rolls were not bad but I have had much better. After roughly 10min of waiting for the pho after my wife was served we were pretty much done. Not one server came to check on us, refill water or even see how my non existent dinner was. We left after a nice "complaint" in which they gave us a few dollars off the food we did not eat. I could only hope this is a fluke experiences as I don't want businesses to fail but wow they missed on every single mark. read more

So happy this spot has re-opened. I had tried this spot in the past once I started working down here from Cupertino. And previous owners did not know what they were doing. As for now amazing pho broth and more authentic. I only get a 30 minute break so I appreciate there swift efficient services. This place is a hidden gem in Watsonville. Place is very clean, modern and service is quick! Good size portions, all of the dishes we have tried are a delight but my favorites are the shrimp noodle soup and the shrimp spring rolls. My family ordered from Pho Kitchen yesterday (1/29) and we were blown away. We ordered the tofu spring rolls, a BBQ pork vermicelli bowl, and a BBQ shrimp vermicelli bowl and everything was fresh, well-portioned, and delicious. My lone critique of the spring rolls is that they were missing fresh herbs like Thai basil, cilantro, and mint that would have made them even better. The peanut sauce was lacking a bit of acid, but a squeeze of lime juice and some Sriracha made it very nice. The stars of the night were the vermicelli bowls, which were practically perfect. They came with lots of aromatic toppings, ground peanuts, and a lovely, sweet-tart dressing to top everything off. My shrimp bowl was the best non-sushi, non-Mexican meal I've had in Watsonville in years, and I am so excited that this place opened! Great Boba drinks here! There food is also delicious I've had the shrimp rolls with peanut sauce which are super fresh. The pho is good broth I've had both noodles now and both are very good I lean a bit towards the egg noodles and not by much. If your going for first time might want to get kids size for soup if you do Boba and soup. The salads are very good in flavor! Egg roll with chicken or beef don't matter loved both. Ordering take-out is best avoided. The beef pho was good, but despite just a 5min drive home it was no longer hot as expected. The chicken vermicelli was packaged like a kids school lunch, everything separated right down to the crushed peanuts. The chicken itself was substandard. I've been here twice now and have been pretty happy both times. It is nice to have a Vietnamese option in Watsonville and plus they have boba drinks on the menu. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. The food is really good. You can tell the ingredients are very fresh and the shrimp and avocado spring rolls were the best I have had. Good food, like actually really good Pho and not just because it's the only place in town...We also had the pork chop rice plate (just wishing it came with a fried egg or egg roll) - the pork chops were great! The food was subpar. The condiments were not accessible. The service was not good. They have a kiosk where you can order and pay for dine in, the waiter took my number while I outside briefly and was confused once I came back inside. The ambiance feels like a cheap boba shop. This is my go to place for pho in Watsonville. Today I had my usual #26 beef pho. It's the combo with the meatballs. My wife had the Vermicelli salad with bbq pork and we shared an order of spring rolls with pork and shrimp. Amazing food! The restaurant is extremely clean and very spacious. Everything we ordered was fresh and good. The tofu was served differently from other Vietnamese spots, they slice the tofu to make it look like chicken, I love that! The flavors were spot on, and the menu has many options for vegetarians.
