My teenage boys and I ate here for the first time recently and absolutely loved it. We all ordered the beef bahn mi sandwich. It was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The staff was so warm and friendly too, which is always a big plus these days. Restaurant and restrooms were very clean as well. We will definitely return to try some pho next time we are nearby! This is an outright AMAZING establishment. This is a true family business. Mike and his wife are amazing people and their kids are great young adults as well! The food is so good. I recommend the spicy lemon grass broth beef pho, so so so good. The spring rolls might be the greatest spring rolls I've had in my entire life. The peanut sauce that is served with them is so delicious. I haven't gotten to try every item on the menu but I know it's great. They have an option for everyone! Can't say enough about how great the human beings are that run this place, oh and the food is really good as well! This has become a weekly staple for my family. Tried Pho Lane in Mckinney last night for a little date night with my husband. Delicious food, quality and fresh ingredients. We had beef pho with sliced beef and meatballs also tried the egg rolls. The food is very good. It is cooked at time of order. Portions are more than enough, always leave with leftovers. My favorite is their Vermicelli Noodle plate. Their spring rolls and egg rolls are delicious as well. This was my 4th or 5th visit and the staff are always attentive and genuinely interested in your dining experience. This was my first time at this place of business and was pretty excited. Ordered Beef PHO and spring rolls with beef. The beef in the spring roll was hard like beef jerky and the beef in the PHO smelled and tasted old. I politely removed from the broth but was afraid I would be sick so I threw it away. I phoned the restaurant and expressed my concerns and between the associate and the manager I thought I was talking with a broken record player because they kept saying the same thing they cook with fresh ingredients daily. I don't doubt that but what I was given seemed old and or sitting out for a long time. It was about accepting what I was expressing and the manager could NOT do. It's an under the weather kind of day which meant pho was in order. I ordered the spicy lemongrass beef and it had just the right amount of tongue tingle without being too spicy. I love lemongrass and I'd say it was very subtle. I was a little disappointed when I asked if I could order extra broth and found out they don't let you (the best part of under the weather pho is sipping on extra broth for your throat) but I understand that they portion it so selling extra just broth and not a bowl doesn't make sense for them. The owner(?) was very nice when explaining. I also got an iced coffee and it was a bit stronger than I'm used to with Vietnamese iced coffee but I did enjoy that it wasn't cloyingly sweet. Third time trying this place and unfortunately, it'll be my last. Gave them a second star because of the cleanliness and friendly service. However, I was very disappointed with the pho soup. It was so greasy and tasted like "instant" flavoring. Since there's not much pho places in McKinney and customers living close by probably don't have a chance to try different pho restaurants, this place will do well in this location. But if you've had pho in others cities such as Richardson or Downtown Dallas, then it's best to skip this place. read more

We ordered 2 orders beef pho and one order of pork spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious. Freshly made. Nice balance of pork and veggies. The dipping sauces were tasty. They had a spicy vinegar sauce along with the standard peanut sauce. What we didn't like at all was the pho, specifically the broth. It did not taste like cooked-from-scratch. The broth did not have a beef flavor but was really salty. Unusually dark in color. The brisket tasted very Smokey. Not what we are used to in Vietnamese brisket. We eat pho frequently from various restaurants around the metroplex and elsewhere. This was a big disappointment. I gave it 2 stars because of the delicious spring rolls. The flavors are okay, not outstanding. The beef in the salad was fatty. I found the egg rolls to be rather small and not bursting with flavor. I was told that I could not substitute vermicelli for the noodle as that would change the flavor of the pho. I heartily disagree. The broth makes the pho, and I have a definite preference as to my noodle. The woman was very unyielding as to any substitution requests and after insisting I would prefer the Vietenamese coffee over others in the area, was proven not to be the case when I tasted it after buying it and gave her my honest assessment. In this instance, my perception is the reality of whether I return or not. I am disappointed as I so looked forward to having a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant to love. My boyfriend and I decided to try it out today and we were amazed with everything about this place! The prices were amazing for the quality of the food. The restaurant is small, extremely clean, and well taken care of. We got the Brisket Pho with beef broth and rice noodles ($10.75), Fresh Spring rolls with beef ($6.75), and the fried pork eggrolls ($4.50). All three items were the best i've ever had. The brisket and broth of the pho had amazing flavor. The spring rolls were large and the beef was full of flavor. I ordered to go, the service was good, and the way they packaged the pho was very thoughtful and prevented any spillage. I got the Pho with Brisket and an order of egg rolls. When I opened everything up it smelled absolutely fantastic. But for me somewhere between the smell and the taste, something was lost. As others have said, the Pho broth was simply not that flavorful. It was good, but not as flavorful as it smelled. I felt the brisket was sliced a bit thin and overall a bit bland. The noodles were very good and all of the other ingredients were fresh and tasty. The egg rolls were good, but the sauce was a little bland as well. On the plus side this meant it wasn't extremely salty. Overall I can see why the reviews are polarized, I think you either really love the food or it isn't really your thing. I think this pho may just not be for me, but I can recognize that the ingredients are fresh and the service is very good. read more

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Ordered on line takeout which was straightforward and offered options to add or remove specific ingredients. The order was followed up with a text message with an order number and estimated time for pick up. They also texted when it was ready. The food quality was very good and flavorful. I ordered two pho and an order of pork rolls. It was apparent to me that they put some thought in the takeout process, examples of this were each pho container had notes indicating what it contained, the little sauce container for the pork rolls had a piece of tape over the top so it wouldn't accidentally open ( I've had numerous takeouts where that happened). Also each container of pho broth had been clear wrapped prior to the lid being placed on top so it created a vacuum like seal from the hot liquid. Although it may seem like it's a trivial detail, in my experience having lids with hot liquids bubble up and pop off it was appreciated. Not much to say regarding ambiance. It's rather stark with a number of tables. However the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. All in all a good place to get your pho fix at a reasonable price. This was our first time ordering from Pho Lane and what immediately drew us in was the small menu (specialty menu) and the pledge and philosophy of clean ingredients! Our Togo order: 3 different phos, a beef banh mi, tofu spring rolls, a Vietnamese salad, and a coffee. Nothing was premixed in the salad leaving every bite fresh and crunchy. The baguette for the Banh mi was soft on the inside with a nice brown crunch on the outside, my taste buds judgment declared that it's fresh baked bread!
